Again, such a great capture of your family’s adventure!
Is this an area below Bennet springs? My sister & family live in the Roach area, and we’ve floated the Little Ni. in late spring a few times. I’ve never seen the water that low.

This is a different river altogether than the Niangua. It's quite a ways north of Bennett.

Glad i discovered your channel. Was hoping you would do one on the Little Niangua. I have some riverfront property just downstream of the Fiery Fork (it actually borders it on the southeast). It does open up a bit as you go downstream a few miles and into the Lake of the Ozarks, but yeah, it can be a frustrating river to raft for much of the summer (last summer was even worse) w low water levels. Because it doesn't have alot of access points and because of the low water in some sections, the Little Niangua doesn't have the notoriety (and the crowds) that some others rivers have. In the spring and fall, sometimes i won't see anyone on it for weeks at a time.Have you done the Buffalo river down in Arkansas ? IMO it is the pinnacle of Ozark rivers

We've successfully floated it without so much as a bump, drag or portage from Cedar Camp all the way to J. Some of the most memorable trips we've ever been on happened on the Little Niangua. But she sure is fickle!!! Thanks for the kind words.

Haven't hit the Buffalo yet. It's in the bucket list but got lowered in priority after finding out a few things about it I wished I hadn't. The Natural State is wonderful, too.

@@OzarkMediaCo oh, just curious what did you find out about the Buffalo ? I haven't been on it for a few years. it can get a bit frothy in the spring if there is rain. Bad apples on the river ?

@@OzarkMediaCo surely. you are doing a great job on your channel. Once i get some more excavation and clearing done (hopefully this fall/winter), would be happy to invite you to camp out on my shoreline at your pleasure and/or up on the cliff above the riverbank - views to die for (and have a resident bald eagle to boot)

@@SuperLooneyrooney Sounds like an excellent idea! As for the buffalo, It's actually more to do with the online community than the river itself. People are very protective of it and rightfully so. I don't think I could make a video like many of these because of that.

was it better after the mule show bridge or still really low ?

    • @OzarkMediaCo

This was all downstream of muleshoe. Floating from there requires substantial spring inundation.
