The Maverick Quantum line seems like they are all well built and a good value for the money. I still don't like the T-style (Deans) plugs, but I'm ok with them at this price point.
Yeah I was the first thing I swapped out on mine. I don't run deans on anything. They're okay for really small vehicles but a 60 amp continuous limit is pretty low for a modern brushless system. So far I've been very happy with my muscle car. I know the offroad Mavericks have a tendency to be pretty weak but the on road ones seem good
It really depends on how you're driving and on what surfaces. If you're going non-stop wheel spinning donuts burnouts etc on rough concrete then it's going to wear out the tires pretty quickly no matter what you have. That being said it is easier to be a bit more conservative with this car than it is with something like the infraction simply because it has a bit less power. Ultimately though how long the tires last will depend on what you're doing with the car. Thanks for watching and if you aren't already subscribed a sub is appreciated :-)
For sure. They look like a vintage style of wheel on some car I just can't remember what it was. I like it because it's different than anything else I've seen on RC cars.
Save your money and get a Infraction , for those that love power this truck will keep you happy for a day, just watched a running video of this truck, its something I would had got my son .
I dunno. Ive been running this for a bit now and im still having a lot of fun with it. I owned a felony and yeah it was faster but unless you have a really big area in which to bash it hard to take advantage of that extra power. Of course we all have different expectations:) Thanks for watching and a sub is appreciated!
@@DoRC I find it funny in this hobby? So we start of with lets 4s powered rc cars and move up to 6 and 8s rigs ? Then were shown trucks like this? ARRMA OUTCAST 6S V2 £365 the new Arrm Outcast 4s V2 £479 and mainly plastic 😆
It depends on what you're looking for. This car is 4s but it also weighs almost half what the infraction does and is a bit smaller. Smaller and lighter has its advantages. Personally i dont have a ton of room for on road bashing so i prefer the size and weight of this. Being nearly half the price is a big advantage too. Bigger, more powerful and more expensive isbt inherently better. Regarding the outcast yeah if the new one is more expensive than the 6s where you live that makes no sense. Its a fair amount cheaper here in the US.

The roller as it currently sits is $370 on banggood. You have to also factor in All electronics though. You're looking at close to another $300 once you add electronics in. Still look pretty cool car but I'm not sure I could justify paying almost the same price as a felony for something from ZD racing. Thanks for watching and a sub is appreciated :-)
@@DoRC that boat on that roller price has sailed when I checked on aliexpress. Amain had many holiday and clearance sales for the max8 combo ; and with dumbo rc radio, that works out to 200 dollars. It's all about timing of the sale isn't it? I would rather spend a little more on this package, than the vendetta or any of hpi's street bashers 1/8 scale. btw I have the felony, 1/8 exb kraton, and the 1/5 outcast exb. I do recommend getting a good deal on the ex07 for "practice" bashes if anyone does not wish to bang up their arrma 1/7 fleet
@@SengLeeKoh yeah I try not to take sale prices into consideration when I make these comparisons. Utilizing sales you can get lower prices on pretty much everything. Also don't forget you need a servo.
I am nit picking a little bit. You can do it for an extra $200 or so but even then you're still at $570 at the current pricing. That's almost $200 more than this car is. Not saying it's not a good deal I'm just saying that that's dangerously close to just buying an RTR felony. Of course sales can change this but they can also reduce the price of the felony. That being said the best part about this hobby is that we all get to enjoy it however we want and I definitely respect your opinions :-)
Quick correction. The platform is similar to the off-road trucks but there are several differences in the chassis layout between the two.

do the wheels burn out quick like the infraction?

Nice! I actually think the rims look really good but of course that's just personal preference. Can't wait to get it out and bash it :-)

The 6S infraction tires will fit on it but they're a little bit bigger and you'll need to trim the body a bit to prevent rubbing.
Pretty decent looking car.
Yeah if it can hold together and stand up to some bashing I think it'll be a real winner. It's got a lot going for it and I think it looks great!
