Really a nice restoration, I completely restored a ford 1100 about 10 years ago, it now sets in my garage,I try to start it up a few times a month, and let it warm up, and keep the battery charged.those Japan tractors are tough little tractors.
Thanks for your kind comments 🙏 I'm glad you're also enjoying these amazing tractors. I'll be adding a restoration soon of a yanmar tractor I also did 👍
My dad bought a 1210 new in 1986. It paid for itself mowing property’s around my town and the next town over 100$ a pop. Mostly business around the area. The biggest was atkinson candy factory, that place had to be 20 acres. Somewhere about 2013 ish the bearings in the steering gear and colum went out. Was told by new holland they didnt make the parts anymore. Dad ended up getting a tc35 and the 1210 was put out to pasture in the back 40. I actually found the bearings we needed on ebay around 2018 or so. Dad being impatient and not really mechanically inclined attempted to put the bearings in and chewed up some other parts inside the steering gear. Late 2019 i found and bought a whole new unit for it. Went and drug it out of the trees, cleaned it up, replaced the steering gear, put a new seat on it, changed all the fluids and filters. It still going strong to this day tho i dont use it much as i have a 9n that does most of the work around the place. I got a few thing yet to tune up on it. I have been eyeing painting both the 1210 and my 9n back to original colors. It is cool having brought the machine i started on, and helped run in the ground as a kid back to life. People love to hate these little tractors but the only issue ive ever had with it is the lack of parts. But the one i have has done an insurmountable amount of work over the decades, and still continues to add to it when called upon. Looks good. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comments! and a great story behind your dad's. I know the one I restored for a customer also gets used for what they were built for. Great little things 👍
Hi, I just bought a 85' 1210 just like yours but with the Headlights on the fenders. Great job on the resto and your vid helped with the overall process so THX! Where were you able to get the new dash parts? Maybe you could post links for the supplies like parts and paint code/colors. Are the hood graphics vinyl or painted on? Again, great job! KD
Hi there, thanks for the kind comments 👍 This was done for a customer and they sourced all the parts needed, I believe there are contacts in the tractor magazines. Ours had custom made vinyl for it. If you need any info contact me on Facebook and I'll see if I can help further. Many thanks 👍

Beautiful work. Have the same tractor and wish I had the time to give it an overhaul like this.
Thanks for the comment! Go for it 👍
Bought a 1210 couple weeks back. Broken crank. Does anyone know, will the 1220 motor swap out into the 1210?
@@terrycain1920 I'm not sure mate, I can try and find out for you
