So I went back and watched this again. I have a 1968 Ford 3000 with a front bucket. They added the remote hydraulics to run it. I have the 4-speed with transmission PTO but wish I had the hi-lo like you with live PTO. I do have power assist steering, which is pretty critical with the FEL. Mine’s gasoline instead of diesel, so you have, what, 5-6 more hp. Anyway, they’re solid workhorse tractors. Back in the 1960’s, we had a 2000 configured like my 3000 and a 4000 in gas but with the hi-lo 8-speed and live PTO. Dad and I cut a few wagon loads of hickory and oak for a sawmill to cut into full inch 1x6s for us to build a corral. We skidded and loaded all of them with 3-point cranes like you have, using both the tractors. I’m having flashbacks!
Very cool video. You do it all. Stationary , Drone etc. Great editing and story telling My daughter just purchase 20 acres and it came with the 73 Ford 4000 diesel. Great tractor. Easy to work on. Love it
Nice vid. The ford 3000 caught my eye. I used a 3000 on my uncle's farm hauling grain growing up and hearing that diesel pur brought back so many memories I had to sub!
Those three point implements are handy. What would this world be like without big boy toys? Neat shots with the camera, I think I got some rock in my eye when you threw it with that shovel out of your scoop!
First off, your camera work is phenomenal.. you e set the bar for other youtubers .. secondly, those lil ford tractors are hard to beat.. pound for pound maybe the toughest little tractors built .. great job
We had a Ford 3000 when i was a teenager talk about a real workhorse. For 3 years that tractor was our main source of income. We put up over 20,000 bales of hay each year. We did brush cutting, plowing and what ever else we could do. It wont be a Ford but i am hoping to get a new tractor this spring and get back to doing something. I am no longer able to do things i use to do by hand but i can still get alot of work done with a good tractor. Thanks for showing what can be done.
Picked up an '86 Ford 1910 4wd diesel with front loader and a bunch of attachments for the back about 8 yrs ago for $5k. What a great little work horse. I've a '53 Ford Golden Jubliee and a couple Kubotas but I have to say I think I am most attached to that little blue Ford. Great job on the filming and the editing. Sound track was good as well. A lot of these RUclips posters could learn a thing or two from your style.
Nice tractor, I’ve got a 1969 2000 with the loader and a sims cab that I need to get fixed up before my kids born so he can go for a tractor ride the day he gets home like I did with my grandfather when he owned the tractor.
@@TacoCrisma well I've had my 2000 around 7 months and worked it like a borrowed mule. Pulled and moved tons of trees including large oaks. Moved tons of dirt with a box blade and a scoop (no front end loader), and cleared out an old field that had been let go for a decade. It runs an old bush hog just fine without ever over heating. Honestly I think it may not even have a thermostat in it anymore but that's fine. It's just been a beast. I only wish it had the locking differential option but it still does well with good tread and filled tires. The only issues were a minor fuel drip from the valve and choke on the carburetor and the pivot pin in the hydraulics was wore down so it stopped going up correctly. The valve got a new O-ring and I still haven't fixed the carb because it only drips when I start it with the choke. I even had the rebuild kit sitting in the garage for months. I think the new pin costs $10. The shifter will hang up or pop out if you shift too hard so I fixed that by not shifting too hard lol Honestly I would expect more issues from a brand new tractor.
@@joshblick ive got one with the locking dif, there are so many times ive gotten stuck and i just press the petal and drive out We have worked ours like a dog for 6 years and it runs just like new
