Ha! You have a scrap metal pile, too? Guess what-I’m the guilty party on mine! It’s gutters I was told to “get rid of” in 1979. Never give a 15-year-old kid a job that involves tractors and decision making! I never dreamed I would own this land, certainly not build and live on it, but here I am 36 years later. Great to see so much activity on this channel, Happy New Year!
Wes. We have done so much of that through the years, chainsaw work, hand-trimming tools, and a much older tractor: a 1947 Ford 2N. No grappler, etc!😊 Still doing it with our driveway thru the woods.
Another good video! So thankful 😊 Your not alone brother, I imagine most of us bite off more than we can chew from time to time 😅. I look forward to the next videos coming up! Bless you and your family ❤️
Nice one Wes! Good job of creating a track through the Trees. Also great to see that Ford 3000 still going well - I've mentioned before that I passed my first driving test on one over 50 years ago here in the UK. Best wishes to all for 2025 - stay safe & well. 👍👍
I have a HIPA chain that I got last year after getting a watching Brad (Firewood at the Furnace). His channel was able to give a code for a free chain. I really like mine and gat a second one for next to nothing. Stay safe.
Good luck putting the floor down - thanks for bringing us along on this trailblazing - reminds me of doing the same back in the day... without the tractor, grapple or chainsaw! Blessings to you and your family from ours... 🙏👍
Boy this takes me back nearly 40 years ago when I had to cut a road through the woods to get to some small pines I cut for tier poles to go in Grandpa's log tobacco barn that burned out in a barn fire. My experience Wes is that I get the most done on days when I don't plan a lot. I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and I look forward to seeing part 2.
Vines kill trees and then the forests. I'd be tempted to spend a few afternoons walking though the woods with 30" bolt cutters and snip each vine at the vase of trees. The vines will dry and fall off the trees.
Chisel chain dulls faster than semi-chisel. If your looking to cut dirty wood, lots of vines and junk.. like dirt, try the rounded cutter style chain. Don't file the rakers to low or the chain will be grabby.. it will grab those smaller limbs and won't cut them or let go. Nice to see you using farm diesel in the old Ford
I really enjoy your videos! Love watching the Ford 3000 work, when we Lord willing get some property, that's the first Tractor I'd like to get. I was curious if your's has power steering, some of them do and some do not. I tried to bushog recently at a friend's farm with a zero turn, I didn't go to well :) Thank you for making such wonderful videos! God bless you and your family.
We are doing something very similar. My wife wants a path cut around the back end of the farm for a walking/biking trail. My big tractor isn't designed to work in the woods. It has exposed hydraulic lines underneath that get pulled loose and cost me a lot of down time and money replacing fluids, so I have a buddy bringing his skidsteer and forestry muncher over. I spent much of yesterday marking the trail, cutting down small trees, and pulling 50 year old barbed wire out of the way. We are hoping that muncher will deal with all the grape vines and privet. We will be cutting along two creeks but not actually crossing them. Guess which chainsaw I used? I've started buying all my chains from Amazon. I'm prone to cutting dirt on occasion.
I wrecked one of the hard lines on the Kubota a couple of years ago. Amazing how fast they can get rid of fluid like that. That forestry mulcher is worth its weight in gold.
Be careful operating your Ford without rollover protection. I almost turned over my grandfather's tractor back in 70s while operating it next to a ditch.

Thanks for showing the Ford 3000 at work. I have a 1973 4000 on my property and it is a beast. Cheers from Brittany France.

Ha! That stuff always comes back to bite you. No idea who left this pile there.
Hi Wes. So good to see you again. I love your videos. Always look forward to seeing what project you have going on. God bless you .
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Thank you for watching!
I got you back, didn't know you had returned to you tube.Like your videos. God BLESS
Wes, I'm sure you like your Kubby as much as I like mine but, I really love to see the Blue Beauty in action. There is nothing like old iron.
You’ll have that stretch with new chains! Great video keep up the good work! 19:51
So much to do in a short time. Love your family and channel. ❤❤❤❤
Prayers for your success and future endeavors and prosperous year ahead for you and entire family.
Appreciate the good honest review of the chain.

Like seeing the old blue ford at work
Great video! Brush hogging is like therapy for me! God bless!🙏

thanks for the ministry of this channel
The old pesky Privet, always in the way. Everybody needs a sharp chain for their saw. Old Blue can still Git r Done.
Love the sound of that ford
Not much like it!
If the chain stretches (wears) so much you have to remove links, the space between drive teeth is lengthening, too. That can damage the sprockets.
That's a good point. Thanks for that tip!
Looking forward to seeing the next video

the old woven wire fence i would mark it with orange marking tape, so its easy to see from the tractor.
MM77 Approved 👍🏼 👍🏼
Over the River and through the Woods to the Rev's. House!!! Happy 3 Kings Visit!!!
You appear to be making good progress. I'd buy the chain.
Always have a spare chain or 3

I might switch my outlook to yours. Keep my own expectations low.

Oddly, I was wearing my Fall Line Ridge sweatshirt when I tuned in. Mine's in better shape than yours! Have a Happy New Year!
Cool! Thanks for buying the sweatshirt! I love mine.
God Bless you and your family. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! sorry I'm late just old bones.

Good to keep the equipment working and not setting up. Making the school break invaluable. Keeping up the house and land.

This one does not have power steering. Tough to turn, but less maintenance.
@@falllineridge If you put equipment over the front axle you will need power steering. Ask me how I know.
Glad you didn't catch that old wire with the bush hog... That woulda been a mess...
Huge mess!

Christmas Eve. Working in short sleeves and green leaves on the trees. Can we send you about 8" of snow? Best regards.
Not all of it, maybe just an inch or two, and let it melt by afternoon.
Kudos
Can just vision the mess if you had got into that area with the brush cutter.
Would have been awful.
I would like to know how well the chain sharpens with a saw file that says alot about a chain also.
Good point!

Yeah I will admit that my life briefly flashed before my eyes when I backed up to the creek.
Chris Pine has a RUclips channel? LOL

Too bad you don't have a flail mower. They perform way better in overgrown conditions
Remember when doing yard work... set up your video camera and make a youtube video first...
Every time.
If saw chains stretch it’s ether poor quality,or not enough oil n
