- On today's show, we're diving into ESPN MLB Insider Kiley McDaniel's new Top 50 MLB Prospects board that dropped on Wednesday morning!

Kylie did us a solid and removed guys likely to graduate soon, as well as adding this summer's MLB Draft eligibles to where they'd come in on the board after the draft. There's NO ONE in the 65 FV tier, with only 16 players in the 60 FV tier. Is SS Marcelo Mayer (BOS) really a top three prospect? How wild is it that C Ethan Salas (SDP) is at 28?
We then look at guys who improved their valuations a full grade up to 50 FV, specifically pitchers Ben Brown (CHC) and Andrew Abbott (CIN) - which of these guys got artificially juiced by the AA Southern League tacky baseball?
We close the show with those five MLB Draft prospects that would be in the Top 50, and where.

Casas and Duran are not prospects anymore
@s0xfan048 Casas had just graduated from prospect status at the time, and duran wasn't too far before him. It's dumb to ignore players as soon as they graduate
Specifically with Marcelo Mayer I’m interested in a breakdown on the differing analyses. I live in Boston so I hear a LOT of the Mayer hype on the radio everyday. There were even people saying that it’s good we lost Xander so that we won’t be blocking Mayer, which I thought was frankly a little ridiculous. Im interested to hear some dissenting opinions on mayer since all I ever hear is about the promising stuff. Thanks as always for the great content!

For people to consider Jackson Holliday over Elly at 1 is either a homer pick or because of his pedigree. Because there ain't nothing Elly can't do on on the diamond. He's a legit 40/40 Switch Hitting SS with power on both sides. And throws 99 mph. Not counting his exit velocities on batted balls.
Not sure you have been following Holliday thus far in his short career. Just look at the numbers and tell me he isn't. Jackson will grow into his body and have good power to go along with his impressive discipline at the plate.
@@adamletschin7759 I can't consider you number one prospect if you haven't made it to AA Yet. The talent level is a big step forward than A+
Elly is doing this against Major League pitching or close to it. Jackson doing it against Pitchers trying to learn strike zone command
In theory most teams keep their prized prospects in AA and use AAA to back fill the ML squad in case of injury. unless it's a team with a loaded farm.

I mean people were saying the same about the jump from low A to high A pitching and Jackson continues to rake. I've been to multiple games in Aberdeen since he has been promoted there. His superior talent is noticeable and he will be in AA very shortly. If you watch this kid play you can tell he is going to be a stud, especially when he starts growing into his body.

The only thing that could happen is the pitcher breakdown.. fingers crossed 🤞 for all throwers of the baseball health 🙏... but other then that this dude is going to just dominate his pitchs play so well off each other an he is just nasty the kinda nasty you want on the hill on game one or 7 as a pit fan I'm torn
