    Wyatt Langford's bat speed is as good if not better than any of the players showcased. This kid is going to be a stud with his eye, power and bat control. In addition to his increased body strength, he's also increased his speed. His arm is only average but he'll get to a ton of fly balls. Whoever drafts Wyatt Langford is in for a treat.

      Better than Crews?

    • @michaelwolf6424
      @michaelwolf6424 Год назад +3

      @@inthedougout301 No, not better. These two uber talented players could be carbon copies of each other. I would give Langford a slight edge in power but the superlatives are virtually equal. Crews is a Floridian. The Gators wanted him badly. (Tommy "the Tank" also grew up in Fla but he went to NC State before transferring into LSU. ) Crews was more heralded. Langford enrolled as a catcher and only had 4 AB's in his freshman year with one hit. He completely reformed his body and dedicated himself to being a better player. It paid off. Both of these young men will make a lot of money in the pros.

      well i can see why that would be important for scouts just based on the fact that its more of an intangible in the sense that it's not something you can really work on , so you either have the ability to pull the barrel through the zone or not , but i would say The Top Priority for me would be command of the strike zone just because baseball nowadays is trending towards guys hitting below the mendoza line with 30 homers a year and a .750 ops , which is crazy when you think about it but if you can get on base that's half the battle and then if you have legit pop then that's all that really matters , i mean you can make the top 10 in the league in batting with a .280 average , the game never really changes but it's changing so much in that regard

These guys going all in trying hit HR or bust isn't what I like to see. I'd rather have .300 avg and 25-28 HRs than .250 with 40 HRs. I'm talking about what he does in MLB now. I'm also letting you know what I see in Clark"s swing if he makes it. It's about projecting what you see in these prospects. I'm also talking about what guys in general are doing in MLB in today's game. There's not but about 10 guys in each league hitting over ,300. Not many hitting over .250 and they are striking out a ton trying to hit bombs every swing Open your eyes up. Use your head! That's how you draft prospects. Based on what you see in them.
