The Cadisen C8180. A brand-new release “Cadisoak”, only smaller. Just a few short days ago, I shared with you the Cadisen C8179, which is their 45mm case size version. My biggest complaint of that watch was its big case size, so has this new release with the 42mm case size rectified the issue to make this approx. £60 watch a good buy?! If Cadisen released a 38-39 version it would be an absolute hit
the difference it makes is amazing. Now this watch is worth buying IMHO
I wonder why they released the big one in the first place, since Royal Oaks tend to wear large. I would love to have seen a 42 and a 39. Really sweet watch though.
Last year I bought the big one with a sunburst blue dial and this year two 42mm Version 2’s with blue sunburst and blue padded dials both with sapphire. They’re all solid nicely finished watches and very good value for money but what I love most about this Cadisen is that it’s not a simple copy but a Hommage to a design theme made with own ideas.
They could have done time and date only in 39, and maybe a chronograph in the 42.

Thank you so much for the comparison, you did a great job at contrasting both. I commend Cadison for addressing their customers' concerns about size as swiftly as they did, however in my opinion I think Cadison should have gone a tad smaller, closer to 40mm. That said, this is a huge improvement, and for the price remains a lovely piece. Thank you again for your review.

It is still very large for a 6 inch wrist isn't it? I love the AP Royal Oak style for a bargain of a price so this watch could be perfect, but 56mm "lug to lug" seems way to big for me. Its a shame they didn't make a 39mm version.
I agree, maybe the articulated lugs are a bit strange. Its a heavy watch even at 42mm

kinda confused why they did just go with a more substantial 39mm size reduction-especially with the AP royal oak at that size
I know, they are scared of making watches less than 40mm.
I believe the Royal Oak just recently increased its size to 41mm.
the largest Royal Oak they make is 44, and they only have one model that is 42. The one this is based off is actually 41mm, so they still didnt get it right. Im not sure why, as all these other chinese companies just rip off every other case at the same measurements (sub, omega, etc). Such a weird choice.

I have the big one. And litteraly one day before i received it they launched the smaller one. I have a 17cm wrist. So it is a little big. I think a lot of people who bought this during the sale are like nooooooooooo!!

42 mm is great. Beautiful watch. This style of watch is not for small wrists. It's like asking for a 39 mm TUNA, might as well wear a beer bottle cap. Now the biggest issue with this though, it's the fact that look is so distinctively R.O. I would be too self conscious to wear this.
i got the oldest version and i can tell you there is no waterproof...i wash de dishes and the watch got water inside, a friend of mine got the newer version, take a dive in the pool and same history, both of us ended in the repair shop. Another story is the "neptune series" with screw down crown, best dive watch for the money. regards from Chile.

Hi, I've bought a Royal Oak homage from Aliexpress last year, a Paulareis, far cheaper but too big (46 mm) and too thick, with a poor movement (obvious for the 28 € I paid). I'll consider re-buying such an homage to a legendary watch!
But don't forget the original is only 8.1mm thick!!!

It definitely looks a lot more wearable at 42mm. But I'd personally prefer it at 40mm. Either way, good video mate.

I think Cadisens strap line should be ' we'll so very nearly give you what you want '. Everything is better except for the crown. Why would they think putting a cheep, gaudy, tacky, bit of blue plastic on the crown would improve it ? Chinese fashion baffles me ! They'll be wearing silver platform shoes and flares soon. @@Starstreak170 I know mate, it was meant to be tongue in cheek. It's an identical watch just smaller🧐. The only difference was the shiny plastic. Just my crappy sense of humour😭. I've had Pagani's, steeldive, Cadisens, etc, all with the same small circular, blue piece of plastic that you remove with Blue Tac. I'll get my coat and go.😁
So they shrunk the watch to fit it's hands. Now it's worth a consideration.

Prefer the “Grown Ups” size. I have it in the Blue Waffle dial and it is super comfortable. I’m gonna have to order the Girlie size though.🤣🤣👍👍

56mm lug to lug is ludicrous - for many people, this will wear uncomfortably. Most watches now 50mm or under. Even the Seiko Turtles or Steeldiver / San Martin equivalent 46.5 - 47.5 those are 44 and 42mm watches respectively. Bit more difficult with the links set as they are with that model.
Can anyone tell me what is size of Dial, can be moded?
Mineral crystal window looks very transparent, almost invisible. That wouldn't be the case with sapphire window without antireflective coating, and this watch is probably not expensive enough to have sapphire window with antireflective coating.
Thats correct about mineral glass. It gives such a nice clear finish.
