Hi! There is a reason that the arm is made of wood and not metal. The wood is supposed to break and protect the more complex mechanisms if you hit a rock or something else that is to hard to cut.
Good to see old fashioned horse sense in repairing just like in the old days-----well, maybe they didn't have welding equipment, but the concept is still the same. If it's broken, you fix it rather than buying a new "toy" to replace a tried and true design from who knows how long ago. Thanks-----it reminded me of my dad and grandpa doing similar repairs on the ranch in Wyoming, USA.
Hey, you're making good progress, good job! Just a tip for the satellite antenna, I strongly recommend that you replace that with a proper directional 4/5G-antenna instead, you might see substantial improvements in speed/reliability.

@@kpetterss we're getting fiber in a few weeks so this was always just a temporary fix, but thanks for the tip anyway 😉
