The ejection scene is actually a reference to a famous clip from BattleField 3 that a player did in a game so thats why its so unrealstic.
That Battlefield 3 reference! XD It was the most realistic depiction of a Battlefield game in this trailer!

Well, we did get modified M4s recently. It's only a matter of time, I suppose.
Also those aren't exactly manufactured jets, they're designed for extra rapid, mid-operation egress and ingress for close protection operation, thus masking the jet superior to real-world counterparts

@@matsv201 the worst part is when you finally get one of the jets and the enemy jets are just circling in your jet spawn waiting for you to spawn in so that they can use their active radar missiles at a range of only 70 meters. This is the pain of flying in bf4.

Modern setting, close-to-future setting more specifically, dog tags, a mongo- ATV hitting the helicopter, the rendezook and levolutions these are all things that makes Battlefield Battlefield though, isn't it?

And aye, the flight stuff was just silly. But to be fair, it was meant to be silly. There are a lot of vids out there of Battlefield gameplays of players ejecting from their jets, shooting down their pursuers and then jumping back into the jet they ejected from.
It was pretty much just a homage to this.

A graphically beautiful game with such ridiculous mechanics.
Best part is that the pilot who had the "rocket launcher" actually has a Carl Gustav. That's a two man weapon and is not even light by any means. Not to mention that it's bulky as hell 😂😂

Here's a comparison that actually works unlike yours. You want a flight sim that's engaging and immersive? MSFlight sim 2020 beats DCS any day. If you are looking for battlefiled only more realistic then might I suggest Arma 3 as a possible candidate?

This whole Jet scene is just there as an omage to an actual Battlefield 3 play someone has made back in the day. A player actually pulled that off during a match. So they just made a tribute for him in this trailer :)

This game plays in the year 2042. Who says that the jet in the scene is a normal F-35? Could be a complete new version of the jet.
F35 defensive, that's why the pilot had to bail out and engage with a shoulder-fired rocket. It's the best chance he had. Couldn't make it happen with the plane, had to do it himself.

As a long time player of Battlefield from the first game, this tactic of jumping out of the jet and RPGing the guy following you then jumping back in was pretty common. I feel like this was a throwback tribute to that, that they threw in for the fan service.
I can’t believe people asked that question. 😂 The devs put that pilot with rocket launcher sequence known as a Rendezook in the Battlefield community as a nod to fans.
Mover: lets take a look and see if they learned any lessons and if its any realistic

Several of the things in this trailer were homages to popular videos that people made of older Battlefield games. The ATV jump into helicopter and the eject > rocket > get back in plane were from old videos.
It's a pure gold they include Rendezook in real trailer! Love it. He obviously is not in to Battlefield games lol.

When the rendezook scene showed up I was waiting for you to tell us how many times you've done that in real life.
1:57, I kind of doubt that would happen... Basic physics, everything has the same acceleration. Sure there will be variations in velocity, but I'm not exactly convinced that there would be such a major difference. I'm also not convinced that they reached terminal velocity this quickly. The guy that go taken out didn't even have the parachute out yet... soo...

This trailer was a Nod to all of the “famous” online gaming footage where players got “trick” kills. Like the jet scene and 4 wheeler to the helicopter.

In Battlefield? Nope. Jump out and use a MANPAD.
In real life, yeah. AIM-9X or similar HOBM missile can execute the shot, problem is targeting - you'll be out of gimbal on basically all 4th generation aircraft.
F-35 can target spherically.
Su-57 is believed to have a rear facing radome ... if true, then it should be able to get the six shot too.

The unrealistic rendezook/rooftop shenanigans happen often in bf4 servers, but they by no means dominate the gameplay. Futuristic stuff isnt necessarily unrealistic either. The campaign I can see why people might be upset by.

This is what people do online in Battlefield. The title was "Knowing your community". The bad, the good and the cool is being shown from what we've seen from players through the years in the games. It's basically a fun nod to the gamers by the developers :) That F-35 scene it self is famous, in Battlefield 3 a player actually did all that xD
They know it's a video game so they stopped trying to be realistic because why the hell would you do that when there are simulators out there that are WAAAY better than BF
