- The Stone Roses, filmed at Reading 1996, and broadcast once on WowowTV, performing "I Am The Resurrection" at the infamous, final gig of their original lifespan. Ian loses his places and forgets the words, the band carry on anyway, and it's not very good at all.
How is it possible that three such excellent musicians could collaborate with such an untalented person for so long?
Happy St. Patrick's. Mark. Thanks for. the vids
I was there 😱
@rascott1970 I was there as well - I really must have been wasted as I remember reading the NME a week later and wondered why they gave the gig such a slagging whereas |I thought they were quite good !
@@revol148 they were shit.
It was actually embarrassing the whole performance was incredibly bad.
2:20 onwards- just painful😂
The worst live stuff I have ever heard!
Omfg. That is so bad 🤣🤣🤣
The guitar solo too. It’s kinda decent but it lacks that distinctive John squire sound
The most overrated band of my lifetime. An absolutely terrible influence on Northern music, blokes and menswear. Ian Brown should be regarded about as affectionately as Ian Brady.
I was there, didn’t sound that bad when you were there
I was there. It did
It did
I was there, it sounded exactly this bad! My friends and I couldn’t bear it and wandered off.
Probably Coz U Were Out Yer Tits Like Everyone Else x
I'm kind of jealous tbh. Even if it's a bad Stone Roses show, it's still fascinating from a historical perspective.
Ian Brown destroyed the Stone Roses.
More like I am the crucifixion
Reni really carried the Roses on his back at times. Best musician in the band by miles
The songs carried them through,id love to know the real reason john fecked off,i know artistically its maybe easy to see but they must have had a right barny
Ian was normally not a great singer but what the hell was up with him in this gig
I know mate.
he couldn’t hear himself
Stoned out his box ! The tempo aswell the drummers gon nuts 🤣
He was never a great singer
Lucky bastard
Don't waste you words I don't need anything from you. I am the resurrection
Aziz Ibrahim's good guitarist
Yea, him and Mani just about holding the song together
3:37 you could see people walking out in the background because of how bad this gig was 😂
To be fair the band itself sound pretty good here in the outro - more like The Charlatans
I was there...I remember thinking he couldn't hit a note to save his life. Stil loved the experience though.
He was a right miserable turd as well. He came out on stage and barely said a word other than telling a fan to 'take that effing union jack flag down'
Shut up Ian
IB couldn't hold a tune in a bucket
Wow, that was bad,
Gotta love the irony of this. Ian "singing" a song composed musically by John - who isn't there - that's basically telling someone who you grew to hate to feck off. (Which John wisely did). Sorry, but even the weakest Seahorses gig is better than this 😂. (Who I loved btw).
Even more ironic is that John who was absent had played at the greatest gig of that year when he joined oasis at the end of their Knebworth gigs, almost like a “well Feck you too” response to Ian 😂
Out of tune and tempo, but brownie is a rockstar
Awful
