I haven't played or paid much attention to cEDH in a couple of years and I can't believe how many new cards I'm seeing here. Very interesting! Excellent presentation of the game here. Thanks for the content!
Mindbreak trap exiles the spells instead of countering so you can hit uncounterable things. Also, MBT asks for 3 or more casts. If Hullbreaker Horror was the 3rd spell put on the stack then it's free to exile it. Great games, your videos are always fun to watch. Thank you for the content you create :)
Yeah, that was a mistake in narration. Hullbreaker Horror was the second spell for the turn. The Chrome Mox was the only spell before that. Once the Swords was cast, there was no reason to use interaction as the Mindbreak Trap was turned on from there and would exile both the interaction and Mox Amber. Plus using it meant having nothing going into other players' turns even if it meant saving the Hullbreaker via its ability.
Silly question, but when Jason played Blur on his Dauntless dismantler... wouldn't that make Fire Covenant fizzle? Cuz one of its targets is no longer there..... or did they change that rule and I've been playing magic for too long? Lol
Only one of the targets was invalidated by Blur, not all of them. A spell with no valid targets will fizzle. Fire Covenant still resolved due to having other targets
Storm is not good. She might be fun, but unfortunately she cant keep up. Costing 4 and requiring a damage trigger is really a lot to ask on top of having to have a storm count.
She's kind of a "lay and wait" commander. I agree she won't be a major threat to the Meta, or a consistent tournament grinding deck by any means. However, she is a cool option for someone who wants to sit back, control the board, and then surprise the table with a sneaky price of progress win, or an Eldritch Evolution win post combat.
I personally hate cEDH but love the channel. I also think Poliwog Prodigy is overhyped in cEDH and more people should be running Ghostly Pilfer. Lemora did a video recently covering a Japanese cEDH major and they realize the power of the card and I think it's about time North America should as well.
I've not been a big fan of Ghostly Pilferer in cEDH. I've tried it in T&T, Blue Farm, and Oskar. It's mostly just a minor tax on commanders, Underworld Breach, and Mnemonic Betrayal. It's nice when you can use the discard outlet but it's far from a good Tymna enabler and 2 mana to draw makes it very inefficient when your opponents aren't feeding it. It also is terrible into Bowmasters when cards like Pollywog Prodigy and Ledger Shredder aren't. I could give it another try but it doesn't seem worth it even when Pollywog Prodigy hasn't been that good.
CHECK OUT HOLDING PRIORITY!!!

So much interaction! What a cool game ⚡
Sneaky sneaky win! ;D What a shame Plagon wasn't cast 😢
Hey, Plagon was cast! It just got hit by Daze... and then there was a lot of interacting to do the rest of the game
What a great collab!
Was a fun game to watch!

Cool. We're going to play new and interesting options within cEDH.
