I think the key to happiness as a driving enthusiasts is to stop giving a shit about the other guy and what he's driving. Unless you have Bruce Wayne money you can't one-up everybody. There will always be someone with a better faster car. Just enjoy yourself.
One thing that annoys me about a lot of car enthusiasts is arrogance. Some act like their opinions are facts and seem to be ignorant of the fact that much of what makes cars desirable is subjective. I've had "enthusiasts" jump down my throat for praising the current NSX, for example. That kind of shit annoys me.
Bingo. And who needs a car that goes faster than this anyway? It's nuts how fast today's street cars go. I currently drive a LS460 and can pass in any situation with ease using just half throttle. This RC F is even faster.
Savagegeese is 1 billion times better than Shmee, Vehicle Virgins, and Salomndrin. Why doesn't he have a million subs! He's easily the BEST auto journalist
Airbag1010674 In my opinion he does not have the views because he does not use clickbait title's. Like what I hate about my Huracan. Come on! He's real and his videos are informative and very well done. The viewers that watch his reviews are true auto enthusiast.
He will, give it time!!! He has a gift to communicate and is easy to listen to!! And love the name “Savage Geese” even tho those birds shit everywhere!! And wont move for cars!!
I am a fan, but I find he's often overly critical and is way more difficult to please than the average consumer. I understand that when you get in and out of so many different cars, you become desensitized, so I don't think he can help it. His opinions are generally going to differ greatly from the average consumer.
The internet is tragically overlooking your masterful placement of subtle jokes. What's the point of owning a car with a trunk if we cant fit our blow up dolls (or girls we just met at the bar) in it? You review like a man who takes his job seriously yet you place little gems of humor throughout. I love it. You have my respect and my following, mate. cheers.
Yep, intelligent writing and jokes that don't have to be agreed by a committee. It's the best part of youtube - creative, informative, funny. Bigger channels can't match it
You convinced me to get my RC F, used 2015 model with 45000 miles, awful lots of fun. It just tosses you back into your reckless high school years every time getting behind the wheels, takes great restraint to contain that urge of driving like a lunatic; that is the greatest thing about the car.
Bought a 2016 and don’t regret it. It’s the perfect balance for canyon blasting and everyday driving. Not the fastest but I appreciate the balance between luxury and performance.
They didn't have to go to BMW. They just didn't wanna spend the cash and time on R&D on a new inline 6 to surpass the 2jz, as BMW already had one. Or for a new chassis, as bwm already had one of those too. Also, a v8 and supra? That would've a different level of controversy. Lol
Pooh Bear I would love to see the 2020 Supra V8 but I am not holding my breath for that. The 86 and Brz platforms should been “86” They should give a different name GR 6 with a I6 or Make a GR 8 with the V8.
All comes down to R&D money. Toyota knows they will never make money or at least it will take a long time to break even so why not split the cost with BmW. I would rather have something than not having at all, dont u think?
mpower1226 well yeah, but Toyota developed the Lexus RC and the line of engines they installed in it. They have rear wheel drive platforms already developed and a number of engines to choose from. A Supra built on the Lexus RC platform, restyled with a Toyota interior and that fantastic 5.0 V-8 would made for a great sports car.
You have gained my respect as a car reviewer..... and its all because of what you said at the end of the video.... "The things is I don't like doing comparisons to other cars. I don't like comparing this is like a BMW is the S6 or S4 better all this competition Mercedes I don't care... when you drive this car you drive it as this car and as this car it's one of the best cars out there. If you can turn off your brain and turn off the bench racing spec sheet racing that everybody does Ohhh I can get .20 to 60 more in some fabricated condition your never even gonna care about. Get behind the wheel this car I don't care what you say it its really enjoyable car to drive" Spoken like a true car guy. Reviewers get so caught up saying which car they like better or which car is a second faster on the track or which car feel .01 better on a back road.... that us the viewers never get to understand how good a can is on its own right. Thank you. Please continue reviewing cars you give honest reviews.. where stuff like motortrend and etc reviews are biased. The RCF is a beast of a car. The Lexus brand is leading Japan in terms of performance.
+Toyota4Life One thing is for sure every car has it's issue from big to small. The RCF has problems for sure, we didn't really cover the weight of the car like most but reality is it just doesn't make that much difference driving it on road and track. It's not a race car, and neither are 99% of the other cars people buy. You can drive this car and put the problems aside because it just works at being a real car. The other thing is I have been to enough press events now to hear almost everyone talk about "M3/M4 as the 500lb gorilla, we gotta do better, make a better M3/M4." It gets old, if companies would focus on just making a good car and stop trying to do what everyone else has it would be refreshing. The RCF is somewhat that car. It's not an AMG, M series or S Audi. It's uniquely Lexus, in this case it works. But you won't get many BMW and Audi people to jump ship to this car which is no issue unless Lexus can't sell enough to justify programs like this. And thanks by the way. We try our best to get it.
YES! This is how I see it too. Most people try to compare it to the BMW M4, or other cars similar to that but what's the point really? To me, the RCF was clearly designed not to be a track monster but more of a GT car and when you start comparing cars starting with stats, you lose an idea of brand perception and what people expect from that brand. This channel may not be as popular as a lot of other car review channels, but it's by far my favorite because every car is reviewed largely independent from what the other car manufactures produce.
Mark, I know this video is old now, but the simplest way I could find to tell you how good this review was ... It convinced me to go to a Lexus Dealership where I live in Japan, try one and fell in love. My RCF came in last September, and it is an absolute riot ! The best car I have ever owned, and most certainly the best I will ever own. Your review said it all, and if only people could see things for what they are, they would certainly buy better products instead of "what croud says is good". Also as a side note, the 2018 model with adaptive suspension is a deadly weapon on our mountains rods, regardless of how bad they are, a car like this should drive the way it does, it rewards you more the better you drive, it is amazing ! And that engine is stellar. Thanks for your amazing, passionate, and honest work. You cost me a s***t load of money, but I am enjoying every single seconds of it !
This is one of your best reviews. I absolutely love your videos. You're one of the only channels that I can sit and enjoy 40 minutes of without feeling like I'm wasting my time and without it feeling like it's way too long.
I would buy the RC-F over an M3/M4 any day of the week. I don't really care if the M3/M4 is a better performance car; if I'm buying one of these cars it's the one with the Lexus badge on it. So I'd sacrifice some of the performance for the practicality, reliability, and resale value of the RC-F and with a smile on my face. By the way, you guys are KILLING it with these reviews. I look forward to you guys every week over other car reviewers nowadays.
+Aneesh S For everyday commute it doesn't really matter. You can only tell the difference on the track. I would take This over M3/M4 as well. Cheaper to maintain and lexus reliability.
Aneesh S Dumbass, resale value of RCF is horrible. Dealers are running heavy discounts on them due to crappy sales, used values tanked. As of Sept-Oct you 17 you can get CPO low miles RCF for $45k from dealership. That's a $15k per year depreciation on Lexus, horrible.....
Found this review, after watching Doug Demuro shit all over it in his review. As someone who has actually driven the car, Doug doesn't know what he's talking about or he doesn't know what he's doing behind the wheel of the car.
Because he's bias against Toyota and Lexus. Majority of the reviews he does on them he will always complain about something even if it isn't a big deal at all. I mean look at the RCF example he brought out for that video... completely dirty and he doesn't seem to care much about the car at all. You can tell the whole video he's just comparing it to other vehicles.
I agree. I have a 2017 RCF and I love it. I've owned a lot of cars and this is, by far, my favorite. I chose it over the Germans (which I seriously considered) but having been down that road before, I did not want the TCO that those marques have. With proper care this will last forever and it will look and run excellent the entire time. This is the only completely objective/fair review of the car on RUclips. Once it is out of warranty (I got an extended thrown in) I will add an exhaust and a tune which will take it to 530HP. Cheers!
Despite all the naysayers about Lexus, people who buy one and drive it for a while tend to buy another Lexus. And another. I have a friend who bought an LS430 back in 2003 after years driving all sorts of luxury brands. He is now on his 3rd LS and also has an RX. I am on my second LS despite never thinking I would own a Lexus. A very wealthy friend who has owned almost 30 cars in the last 12 years bought the beloved 2019 Conti GT - and got rid of it after about 6 months when there was a problem with the steering rack on his nearly 300K dollar VW...I mean Bentley. His SUV is a Range Rover SVAutobiography. He is going to order an LX to replace it. And the car he has kept the longest is a 2014 F Type. So all this business about Lexus and Jaguar not quite measuring up to the Germans is just silly. Most of us don’t drive a vehicle because of the specs. I can tell you that in Texas with its booming economy you see Lexus and Toyota everywhere.
@Oggy It's just Doug, relax. He's like that slightly more challenged kid back in high school that was holding back the whole class but you couldn't be mad at him for it
I now have myself an RCF and you're right. It's impossible not to drive this car fast. If you don't get a kick out of the acceleration, you'll get it from the awesome sound. It's not quite like the LFA, which sounds like a Formula 1, but it's good enough.
Mine isn’t too bad on fuel. I get decent on highway, city isn’t too bad. Eco mode is great when on the highway. I took mine on a road trip and it’s by far the most comfy coupe I’ve traveled over 7 hours in
25:14 Dang bone stock and coming out of a turn and it still gets 4.5s? Not bad. Considering these cars are like half their price now compared to when they were brand new, these are definitely good luxury missles
The RC F is just, uh... Wack. It’s in this kinda sorta weird position where it’s not quite sprightly or agile enough to be a Sports Car, not quite powerful or fast enough to compete with the Germans, al little Harsh and Noisy to Pass off as a Refined Grand Touring/Cruising Car, and Too much of a Land Yacht to be a Track Focused Performance Machine. The most apt description for this car as I’ve heard, is “A Luxury Hellcat.” I have to agree with that description. It is what it is, and I love the thing; even if I’m just fanboying. The interior is built great, the Styling has me sold, the Dash looks cool, and the seats are just plain Sexually provocative. The way this thing bangs off the rev-limiter is addictive and intoxicating. I got to drive a 2016 MY, with an Invidia Q300 Exhaust, and now I am seriously considering making some stupid decisions to get one. I’ve never really been a Toyota/Lexus fanboy, but God Forbid, the way I’m lusting after this thing, with a shitty house, and a shitty job; Lord forgive me, for I am about to Sin.
The magic of this car is that it doesn’t fit into the perfect box of sports car or a GT car or a track car just like you said. Driving it tho, it is all of them at the same time too! I haven’t had my RC F for long, but I love every moment driving it. The knock is the infotainment, but I just stream music and never really use the infotainment other than that in any of my vehicles. The quality that go’s into this vehicle is unbelievable and the experience of driving it is so rewarding. I hope any of you interested in an RC F get the opportunity to own one. A big thank you to this video for showing me the RC F and starting me down the path to finding mine!
@@craignorman6157 It’s weird, and badly flawed, but so is anything else that’s worth loving. It’s a car that was made for fanboys who couldn’t afford it, and it didn’t step up to the competition, so it never sold very well; but as a used car, this thing is gonna be the greatest splurge of $35k~$40K ever. I’m just really sad for the death of the 5.0 2UR-GSE V8 Engine. This car tried to be a lot of things, and failed terribly, but what a Sincere Sweetheart this thing is. My friend replaced the Screen with a Touchscreen, so it’s kinda functional. The sound system is great, and the ride is smooth enough. The noise is a little too much, but everything about the interior was very meticulously tended to. Every surface, every point of interaction, just exuded quality. The Folks at Lexus really do have the Kinks ironed out when It comes to interior design. The interior looks dated AF, but considering the fact that I drive a 2004 Crown, I can’t really comment on that. I only drove it thrice, but man, I am lusting after this thing like F*#K I NEED ONE.
Everything you said there is bang on. It’s incredible as a used purchase. You will get people checking it out all the time as most people haven’t seen one or don’t know what is!! It’s a luxury car when you’re setting the cruise on the highway, but you can be in sport+ with manual shifting in seconds. It really is a great time. I hope you find a good deal on one soon!!
I have been with you since your first FR-S review and cannot believe how far you have come with these reviews. Clearly you take feedback and have learned to improve. Really great job, and I love your no BS approach vs just praising every car. Keep it up! I was also really impressed that you did not get a nosebleed on the acceleration run....
I bought my 2015 RCF for 37K with 52K miles on the odo. That was fully optioned, with CF roof, TVD, Mark Levinsion. Car is a complete blast on the street, I have no track aspirations. It's my DD and it's wonderful. Going to add an Invidia full exhaust soon.
@@austinlewis8468honestly man I’m really trying to figure out how much monthly payment is for this car and insurance? I’m seriously stuck between 2010+ IS F or RC F.
Which car review is best car review? Savagegeese car review is best car review, because Shoppe. Thanks for getting Turbowski a microphone. Top notch as always, guys.
I'm agreeing with Toyota4Life here - I really appreciated the "I don't compare cars". comment. I agree so much! Real car-people don't always try to look at stats and what not. It's about just loving the car you're in and taking-in the experience.
All the Car companies & Car dealers out there. Give these guys more cars to test and review.. You guys gained my respect for consistent quality reviews. Keep them coming.
m y dad got a 2015 RCF about 2 years ago now. he loves that car so much that he wants to continue and ordered a track edition. hopefully the old RCF will fall to me when he gets it.
The closing comments from 37:00 on: excellent. I've yet to read a review of this car on its own terms; it is always put up against the M4 and denigrated for its weight and ever-so-slightly lower numbers. I venture to say that most people who have an M4 or RC F will never find themselves in the conditions where those differences matter, nor would they notice those differences. So it is nice to see a genuine review of this car.
I normally don't comment but I felt I had to. The audio/video quality, B-rolls, the technically/historic knowledge and the way you deliver is just unmatched. Dare I ever touch the seek bar when watching your video. You hard work is greatly appreciated.
As someone who watched this video back in 2015 (while driving an RC 350 F-Sport) and having just bought a 2017 CPO RC-F... man this video is spot on. Well done! Also, having put a full cat back exhaust system and CAI in the car... man does it really open up and sound AMAZING.
These reviews are intricate, well-crafted, and ingenious in terms of content, delivery & flow. Also, this is one of a limited few that provided an unbiased insight of the Lexus RCF... Thank you Savagegeese for helping with my vehicle purchasing decision. Greatly appreciated
Mark Levinson system is awesome. Its about music, instruments and clean mid-range. You guys most listen to modern music, overly processed,low-end heavy, tweeter maxed out stuff. The Levinson in the Lexus blows most high end system out of the water.
Yea highly doubt that. I have never got the chance to listen to any high end car audio systems, but the Mark Levinson system couldn't even compare to Burmester, B&O, Boston Acoustics, Bowers and Wilkins, and Naim.
Yet oddly enough, whether American, British, German or Australian, almost all reviews I’ve watched single out this audio system for special mention. I’m sure it’s up there with some of those you mention (most of which also have more budget systems anyway - the Burmester system in more affordable Mercs is very average, I can tell you from first hand experience)
After a while, it's a system integrated in a sports car. What would we want more ? But some quircks of the Mark Levinson system are excellent. It's true, the PMC's on my Accuphase chain sound splendid. But I have a special dedicated room for that. This is a car, and the fact that it's come so close is already a great result. Don't want to negate the concurrents though, that are doing a good job too. Whatever I'm enjoying to see music systems getting so good in cars nowadays.@@Jshawty13
I love how your reviews are so in-depth, even going to a garage and lifting it up to show the underside and showing the details underneath which is a rare sight to non-DIY drivers.
28:00 that’s how I feel about my Avalon V6 (handed down from parents) passing on the freeway you go from 70-95 without feeling a thing. I can’t imagine how much better it feels in this beauty.
It's got a 0-60 in 4.4. It's an incredible vehicle, and will be reliable and durable that's a fact! I think people are complaining because it doesn't have that wow factor of design. 99% making comments about this car, don't own it and don't know anything about performance driving. So how can they make fair assessments about this..they can't. They're just youtube champs car reviewers.
Your 'in the shoppe' bits are the absolute best. Hugely informative with shit you don't read or see, really anywhere else. The best. Plus, part of me likes to imagine you both being squished by a failing lift. Nothing personal... I think about the same thing anytime I get under a car as well.
I love watching your reviews they are so informative and the driving scenes are amazing. There is no other car reviewer out there like you. I can’t imagine how long it takes to edit it altogether. You take pride in your work and it shows! I can’t wait to see your review on the xc40!
Someone in my neighborhood came around with one, and i was that guy. You know car guy who approaches someone and ask 20 questions. I love this car. Dude had a RC F with the plastic still on the backseats. Pretty amazing in person. As a Lexus owner and fan, i think this car is a much needed addition to the line up.
+Scott P I agree. I saw this car in person parked it was in white with the red interior. its a Stunning car to behold. It looks more expensive then the price says
Purchased a 2022 RC F three months ago. Got a very good deal on it and absolutely love the car! The RC F is pretty rare to see in the wild, that's why I always see heads turn whenever I drive it out. The NA V8 was the most appealing factor of the RC F, then the unique look of a Japanese GT car. Its not perfect but it's mine. This car is not for everybody but this is the right car for me, right now. At the end of the day, spend your money on the the car you want! Thanks for this amazing in-depth review!
Learned so much from your review video and have decided to pick up a RCF as the daily driver because of it. I especially like the details you've managed to go over along with some unbiased opinions. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Great review, as always!!!...BTW, 95% of buyers will not take this car to the track, or even come close to exploiting the performance limits of the car. In terms of power, refinement, luxury and overall reliability, this car is pretty hard to beat.
i’m so happy I fell in love with Lexus. can’t believe my dream car was a mustang gt. this is everything I want and need, i got a 2014 IS and in the future i’m getting the RCF. Reliability, V8, and Luxury i can’t till I get that car, but for now i still love my black IS and i’m grateful, just need black wheels, tint and maybe a muffler delete 🙏🏽
Finally, an honest review that shows what this car really is for. Luxury daily driver that is badass. I drive a Cayman S and it is amazing. out handles just about everything. However, after about 45 minutes in it, i am cramped and beaten, ready to get out. So it sits in the garage most of the time. I think it is time for RC F. Great Review.
This is the overall best auto channel. The photography is especially beautiful and creative and the tech descriptions are very detailed and yet are made easy to understand. Top notch all the way!
Damn what a great comprehensive review and for the first time ever i really understood the RCF on its own without the comparison of other Sport coupe Brands, Well balanced and not biased review.
Best car reviewing process on youtube. Looked at practically from a mechanics standpoint, driven like a (somewhat) responsible adult for real world conditions and talks about all the things that truly matter to gear-head enthusiast.
Binge-watching SG reviews as background for work. The intro of this video, on my stone-age Panasonic 42 inch plasma, is the rulebook of how car review intros should be done.
It's 2022 and this is definitely going to be my next car in a few months. Although used car prices are outrageous, you can still find a good one of these under $50K.
@@AaRoninetyone Picked mine up this past June. 2016 w/32Kmi. Fully loaded and exactly how I wanted it. $47K. I really love it! you don't see many of these on the roads which is one of the reasons I went with this car.
I'm forever grateful that channels like Savagegeese, LegitStreetCars, and VinWiki exist. Man cannot live by clickbait alone; we need genuine, sincere, well-informed videos about cars. Thanks for giving us that.
You are very right. This car feels like it’s on a cloud when you’re over 100+ mph. It’s dangerously smooth and relaxing. It can get you in trouble !!!!!! I’ve toured mine across the eastern coast from GA to SC to NC to FL and back. Extremely comfortable and the girls like the blue
That was a great video review of the RC-F. You are very knowledgeable about cars and I like how you didn't compare the car, you just gave your opinion on the car you were reviewing. I work at Lexus Hq. I drive that car on occasion and I agree with you on many of the great things and also some of the areas that need improvement especially the infotainment.
I've watched this review 4-5 times just for the "in the shoppe" segment. This segment is purely unique and it helps by the perfect personalities hosting it. I wish the bright back ground didn't darken the undercarriage. Maybe some LED flood lights would help in the future should the weather conditions warrant it.
I traded my RC350 F Sport for the RCF. The vented seats are great. They take ambient air from the interior and put some air between the leather and your skin. I can feel it through two shirts. Wife loves this feature, too. Stereo is awesome...when I turn it down, I'm either having a conversation or listening to the engine. I had the Levinson upgrade in the 350, and the standard system in the RCF, and for me, the Levinson is slightly better at separation, but not to the point I miss it, and certainly not worth the extra $1100, for me. I do agree on the info-tainment - it could be better. Lexus is making some unusually good deals on 2016s right now.
Only you can make that decision. I'd suggest a test drive if you can arrange it. I got a good deal on my new '16 RCF back in October, and my RC350 F Sport was in immaculate condition, so the trade in deal didn't cost me that much. If mileage is important to you, I'm getting 19 city on 93 octane with a heavy foot. An honest assessment of your self discipline would be wise to consider. The RCF gets into triple digit speeds very quickly, which could threaten your DL, even with a good radar detector. ;)
The "brake coolers" are actually there to draw out high pressure air in the wheel well and the pop up spoiler is not for down force but for drag reduction. It's not a real wing and not meant to be. You can tell by the underside of it. It's there to make the car more streamline (attach the air to the back end) at high speeds. Low speeds will not need to attach the air because the air can flow with the body shape at those speeds. Lexus does some real trick stuff with their aero on all models. Porsche does the pop up spoiler as well and they also have those fender vents on their RS line
I really like your unbiased, thoughtful reviews. It's great to see a review not comparing this to every other car. Some people (myself included) couldn't give a shit less about which car is 'the best'.
I would prefer this over BMW M car. So impressed by the heat dissipation. Looks like an enjoyable track car. The form is also functional and what a form it is.
There are so many reviewers but this is a special reviewer. Great quality video, great technical details and great impressions plus some great dry humour 😀
Given how popular the LC500 is and underrated this one is, I'll definitely check the used market for this one. I see they're already in the $40k range. Plus I don't have to worry about something blowing up (given the M3/4 aren't going with a V8 any more and your misgivings on the E92), that makes it weirdly practical.
Excellent quality and content by someone who is obviously a true auto enthusiast...thorough and professional on all levels bro..great work..I even listen to you review cars i have No interest in becuz you make ur reviews so very interesting..
I bought an InfraRed RCF with the TVD and the carbon fiber roof. Amazing car. Very quick. Very comfortable. Only thing I miss is a touch screen for the entertainment system instead of mousepad-like input. The turn signals are hard to hear for me. Otherwise, no complaints.
You and Chris Harris provide the best car reviews ever! For true car buyers/enthusiasts (not car leasers) I appreciate the detailed review. Keep it up.
@@-Wreckanize- Maybe for a high mileage, rough example with a crash or two on the record, especially almost a year ago... Currently shopping RC F's based in Florida.. Clean, lower mileage examples are still 40+.
One of the most gorgeous looking cars on the market. I know at the time of posting this comment, the 2019 models have redesigned the lights but I much prefer how the front end looked like pre 2019 RC300-350 and IS models. Also, the BLUE on this car is the most beautiful blue in a manufacturer.
Savagegeese provides a nuanced, informed, thoughtful review, and actually drives the hell out of the vehicle. Meanwhile Doug Demuro drives one of these onto a highway ramp at half-throttle because he's terrified and takes one corner at 15 mph and be like "fun factor is fine nothing special and I mean come on, it's a Lexus it's no McLaren, so it gets a 3/10."
savagegeese we live somewhere near each other. I started watching you when you first started up. I knew you would keep growing. Keep up the great detailed videos
I like how you are not unbiased towards Japanese cars, like most auto journalist. Many auto journalist talks bad about Japanese cars even if they are good. But you are different, so I liked and subscribed.
At 25 owning one of these now it is the best daily you could want. Aggressive styling, comfortable interior, and plenty of power to have fun or pass majority of things on the road. When I’m not mashing gears in S+ the car gets pretty good gas mileage for a v8 as well. It is an amazing machine and I couldn’t love it more 🫶🏼 (plus she will run forever cuz Lexus reliability 😂).
It's May/2024. Had my "16 RCF since June/2023 and it is an amazing car. Only mod I did was get the aftermarket display to allow for wireless apple CarPlay. That fixes the infotainment issues mentioned. Around $750 for the display so not too bad. This car turns heads. I live in the Tulsa, Ok area and haven't seen another RCF on the road since I bought this car. Maintenance friendly and it's just a great daily driver. I was considering a C7 Vette and a few other options at this price point, but I've been very happy with my decision. If you're in the market for a great sports car under $50K used, at least test drive the RCF. I get so many compliments that a standard mustang or corvette owner probably won't experience since you see them everywhere. Also, love this channel! Best RUclips car reviewers IMO! Even beats out Doug! LOL!
Great job fellas. The hits just keep on comin'. Just one suggestion: Replace those ugly black boxes covering the digital speedo when you ACCIDENTALLY exceeded the speed limit with something more aesthetically pleasing. Perhaps a mini Turbowski admonishing you with a greasy index finger. Tsk-tsk!
came across savage geese via a comment on thestraightpipes.. these are now my two favorite car review channels. sg brings a bit more of a serious atmosphere whereas straightpipes more juvenile, but thats to be expected they are two young dudes. still both excellent car reviewers.
I have to say, I absolutely love this car. So much so that I bought one just because of this video. I've taken it to thunder hill at 105F weather and it was eating cars like a monster. There were other European cars with an excellent pedigree that I was demolishing. It makes a rookie drive like a master. I don't understand why but it is impressive.
Another stellar review, with real talk. SaabKyle has alot of reviews and praises every single car he drives. This guy is direct and speaks his mind, how it should be. Keep them coming. Great work
Great review, I really like your style of car review and that its not the generic RUclips review with dud step style music for a intro. Keep these coming
Amen

Savagegeese is 1 billion times better than Shmee, Vehicle Virgins, and Salomndrin. Why doesn't he have a million subs! He's easily the BEST auto journalist
Airbag1010674 In my opinion he does not have the views because he does not use clickbait title's. Like what I hate about my Huracan. Come on! He's real and his videos are informative and very well done. The viewers that watch his reviews are true auto enthusiast.
Shmee is pretentious as hell, vehicle virgins is a douche, and salo is a child

I love it. You have my respect and my following, mate. cheers.
AAaand no responses. Lol doesnt it figure? This channel is tragically and inexplicably underrated.
Believe me, I stopped right after hearing blowup dolls at 3:30 just to check who wrote a comment. Hilarious.
My Marshall 4x12 is fitting in this trunk. That was my biggest surprise.
Yep, intelligent writing and jokes that don't have to be agreed by a committee. It's the best part of youtube - creative, informative, funny. Bigger channels can't match it
I enjoy the humor "goose eggs" too.
It’s amazing that Toyota can build a car like this, but they have to go to BMW for a Supra.
Seriously just put this f engine in the supra everyone's happy
I don't like comparing this is like a BMW is the S6 or S4 better
all this competition Mercedes I don't care... when you drive this car you drive it
as this car and as this car it's one of the best cars out there. If you can
turn off your brain and turn off the bench racing spec sheet racing that
everybody does Ohhh I can get .20 to 60 more in some fabricated condition your
never even gonna care about. Get behind the wheel this car I don't care what
you say it its really enjoyable car to drive"
Spoken like a true car guy.
+Toyota4Life you need to fix how you write.
alexander1485 I would if it actually mattered on RUclips, but it doesn't.
+Toyota4Life shut up you toyota fan boy lol. No but seriously I agree with you that he is one of the best car reviewers I've watched on youtube.
KuMa I’m thinking of getting one, got an isf at the moment.

+Sly Cooper Thanks for that feedback, that is our goal. We don't feel we are there yet but every video we adjust.
+savagegeese Yeah Yeah keep doing long do so we can be happy, short re in their but like good Vagina put your all in.
@@savagegeese Did you ever figure out how much downforce the RCF's spoiler gives?
I would buy the RC-F over an M3/M4 any day of the week. I don't really care if the M3/M4 is a better performance car; if I'm buying one of these cars it's the one with the Lexus badge on it. So I'd sacrifice some of the performance for the practicality, reliability, and resale value of the RC-F and with a smile on my face.
By the way, you guys are KILLING it with these reviews. I look forward to you guys every week over other car reviewers nowadays.
Most of these cars are actually leased. For the second owner all the things you mentioned are critical.
Michael Cohen Absolutely. I think people tend to overlook the "behind-the-scenes" aspects of a car for the raw performance numbers.
+Aneesh S For everyday commute it doesn't really matter. You can only tell the difference on the track. I would take This over M3/M4 as well. Cheaper to maintain and lexus reliability.
Also sounds better then m3/m4 lol
Cheers!
Dougs business model is to be a bit of a dork though, his videos are comical, not reviews. I think it's funny, as long as you understand what it is
Despite all the naysayers about Lexus, people who buy one and drive it for a while tend to buy another Lexus.
Still got it? How would you rate it? How bad is it on fuel usage?
@@method341 It's a gas guzzler and only takes premium gas.
Mine isn’t too bad on fuel. I get decent on highway, city isn’t too bad. Eco mode is great when on the highway. I took mine on a road trip and it’s by far the most comfy coupe I’ve traveled over 7 hours in
@@method341 Mine gets about 18 mpg
25:14 Dang bone stock and coming out of a turn and it still gets 4.5s? Not bad. Considering these cars are like half their price now compared to when they were brand new, these are definitely good luxury missles
Bladed Angel love your videos man!!!
Keep it up!

So did you end up getting an RCF? I'm curious to what you think about it daily driving wise.
m y dad got a 2015 RCF about 2 years ago now. he loves that car so much that he wants to continue and ordered a track edition. hopefully the old RCF will fall to me when he gets it.
Thank thank you !!!!!!!!!!! Will be taking delivery of my RCF Fuji Speedway 2022 in 2 days!!
I normally don't comment but I felt I had to. The audio/video quality, B-rolls, the technically/historic knowledge and the way you deliver is just unmatched. Dare I ever touch the seek bar when watching your video. You hard work is greatly appreciated.
Ugggh really want one of these. Seems like an amazing car for 40K CPO. I would opt for the GS F, but they command a 10-15K premium over the RC F.
As someone who watched this video back in 2015 (while driving an RC 350 F-Sport) and having just bought a 2017 CPO RC-F... man this video is spot on. Well done! Also, having put a full cat back exhaust system and CAI in the car... man does it really open up and sound AMAZING.
I would love to see a revisit of the 2015 to see how it compares today

It's got a 0-60 in 4.4. It's an incredible vehicle, and will be reliable and durable that's a fact! The RC F is pretty rare to see in the wild, that's why I always see heads turn whenever I drive it out.
The NA V8 was the most appealing factor of the RC F, then the unique look of a Japanese GT car. Its not perfect but it's mine.

Great review, as always!!!...BTW, 95% of buyers will not take this car to the track, or even come close to exploiting the performance limits of the car. In terms of power, refinement, luxury and overall reliability, this car is pretty hard to beat.

Scotty said something positive about a car! LOL
Finally a non bias review, a review that is about the RCF not the competition, Best RCF review by far, Grear review.
Lexus is making some unusually good deals on 2016s right now.
older&wiser, im 22 and have an rc200t but i want to upgrade so bad, is it worth it ? i think yes but many people tell me no.
The RCF gets into triple digit speeds very quickly, which could threaten your DL, even with a good radar detector. ;)
Merry Christmas! :)
I am trading in my 350f sport for a RCF this weekend and I've never been so hyped up.
Really love the music you use in your videos. So much better then the typical "Stance Bro" EDM crap.
I really like your unbiased, thoughtful reviews. It's great to see a review not comparing this to every other car. Some people (myself included) couldn't give a shit less about which car is 'the best'.
He is an amazing journalist. Love how detailed these reviews are! Great attention to detail.
I would prefer this over BMW M car. So impressed by the heat dissipation. Looks like an enjoyable track car. The form is also functional and what a form it is.
THis is the best car review that I have seen in a long time. I actually just called to set up a test drive one of these.
I was on the fence about styling until I saw it going down the highway! It looks absolutely awesome. Sound mean too!
This car does look serious in person.
Love these. I can learn some technical stuff without being totally confused.
Excellent quality and content by someone who is obviously a true auto enthusiast...thorough and professional on all levels bro..great work..I even listen to you review cars i have No interest in becuz you make ur reviews so very interesting..
just bought the Lexus RCF full carbon fiber one earlier this month...worth every godamn cent I spent on this car....btw...awesone review guys...
+Hallo Thar nice man, congratulations on getting yours..but your carbon fiber is only on your roof?
How about lc500 or rcf? Help me out please
You and Chris Harris provide the best car reviews ever! For true car buyers/enthusiasts (not car leasers) I appreciate the detailed review. Keep it up.
Man If I had the money. I would buy this in a heart beat
They're only 35K now. Get you one.
@@-Wreckanize- Maybe for a high mileage, rough example with a crash or two on the record, especially almost a year ago... Currently shopping RC F's based in Florida.. Clean, lower mileage examples are still 40+.
bliglum come to georgia. Their 35-40k. Clean no accidents.

Then do what I do. When he goes "..and now here's the doug-score.." just skip
Do what I do - don’t watch Doug lol
I know doug absolutely dislikes Lexus and it’s very clear he’s BMW/Euro biased unless it’s the LC or LFA
Amazing car. You can regularly beat on this car and if you maintain it, it will still go hundreds of thousands of miles. I love Lexus.
This is an extremely well put together video. Great work.
I have a question. Was this car given to you for review purposes? Is it a friend's car?
+Jonathan Leack Right now we only do press cars. The length of time required to shoot would be a nightmare borrowing a car from someone.
JonnyBeoulve this guy is legit !! Excellent work!!
savagegeese we live somewhere near each other. I started watching you when you first started up. I knew you would keep growing. Keep up the great detailed videos
This is my new favorite car review channel(aside from tfl off road reviews)! Learned a lot in shoppe part and the cinematography is dope!
I like how you are not unbiased towards Japanese cars, like most auto journalist. Many auto journalist talks bad about Japanese cars even if they are good. But you are different, so I liked and subscribed.
Scotty Kilmer wants to have a word with you
They cry about everything that's normal for him 👶👶👶👶👶
At 25 owning one of these now it is the best daily you could want.
Just got my rcf and I love it, thanks for the review geese.
+Joseph Chun Glad you like it, awesome car!! Great choice.
LOL!
A wonderful car and a fabulous review. I look forward to a possible review of the new GS F.
Should be in springtime
I just wanted to say that I love your intro video....conceptually and visually it’s VERY professional ...and one of the best intros on RUclips
Tsk-tsk!
Haha good idea!
came across savage geese via a comment on thestraightpipes.. these are now my two favorite car review channels. sg brings a bit more of a serious atmosphere whereas straightpipes more juvenile, but thats to be expected they are two young dudes. still both excellent car reviewers.
24:34 "This is so much power you can't use this on the street."
Texan: Hold my Shiner Bock.
"My blow up dolls" im dead😂😂
Another stellar review, with real talk. SaabKyle has alot of reviews and praises every single car he drives. This guy is direct and speaks his mind, how it should be. Keep them coming. Great work
that joke for the 5 horsepower for the mazda 2 is killing though
Great review, I really like your style of car review and that its not the generic RUclips review with dud step style music for a intro. Keep these coming
