Although he has attained fame and fortune and worldwide recognition as being one of the greatest singer/songwriters in music history. He still has a hard time getting over the feeling of loneliness that has plagued him throughout his career. Even when he is discussing the empty feeling he has inside to his therapist (The Chair). Neil Diamond to me is my favorite singer/songwriter of all time. Because I am an Empath and somewhat introvert, I understand the feeling of loneliness and emptiness. That is why in so many of his songs he sings about the loneliness of being. One of his best songs I like of his is "Cold Water Morning." I hope you react to that one.
