I've been struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts for years now, but every time I hear Bales, and especially that part where it first goes quiet, it's like everything makes sense to me. My shoulders loosen up, my mind goes a certain type of blank. For just a minute or so, it's pure bliss.
Bell Witch makes me feel at tranquil solace, their music makes me feel like I am myself amidst the entropy of life. I am forever grateful to have their music I can connect with from the depths of my soul.
What is wrong with people? If you don't like this kind of music, just leave? You don't have to trash the band or genre? Nobody forces you to listen this music. I'm here because I love the music, I love the band and I'm enjoying it. If you don't enjoy, just leave and keep your hate for yourself
These guys need to come play a show in Clarksville, TN!!! It's about an hour away from the place their name comes from, and I've seen pictures of them there (Adams, TN). Great music, just found out about these guys through the Coffinworm site.
Thanks for uploading this! I missed them on Roadburn and today I was supposed to see them in Stockholm, but I just couldn't go. Great vid. Hope I get to see them in near future,
Great(!) Bummed that this was the final edition of hddt, had plans to go there this year, but since I went to Roadburn I had to pass. Seemed like a good festival.
not gonna lie, Bell Witch dont have a very original sound at all, but there is something special there that i cant put my finger on. fucking love this band, Longing is one of my favorite doom records of all time.
Not every band has to pioneer a new genre. It's perfectly respectable to add your own voice to an existing sound. Their sound is a matter of execution, not one of innovation.
im not taking offense, it just seemed like you took only that part away from my comment when i stated right after that i like them anyways. but if thats all you were saying then forget i said anything.
Wow No Well, after all, doom is definitely not an innovation genre. Sabbath laid down the foundation in the late '60s and it got heavier and longer and louder but compared to a genre like black metal, where you go from Venom to Mayhem to Burzum to Alcest in the span of twenty odd years, I'd say it's more about playing the existing format well, than it is about reinventing the format.
If you guys like these guys you might like a lot of different Post, Funeral and Drone metal... also check out Stoner Doom/Stoner metal bands... and some Sludge
I was gonna go see these guys tonight, so I checked them out first here. Glad I did. I saved cab fare and dinner money cause I'm staying home.. I can pull out a flipper album and be better entertained...
I got over 25 thousand lps and can tolerate even stuff I don't like, but not this I'm sorry.. L.A. Witch is more rockin' than this.. I went to rock out, and I almost went to sleep, along with the rest of the crowd, and I'm not the only one who hates it, and no clue who emmure is.. And apparently you hate more bands than me. That's the first one I hated out of the last thousand ones I seen, besides surfer blood... And I got Warner Bros. to back up and say they suck so who fucking cares anyway... To each his own..
+Susan Chapman Nay. Music is to describe how you feel. Sometimes, words can't explain. So, with music, you can get a clearer message on your emotions. That's how I use it, anyways.
The "music" you describe, ma'am, is not real music. Music is meant to express the soul, and that can be whatever emotion anyone wants. Kindly fuck off.
R.I.P. Adrain. Drummer is my cousin who just passed away yesterday

1. Bails (Of Flesh) - note that the album version is 20:40 long
2. Beneath the Mask
3. I Wait
I love how the bass chords create binaurual beats in the music, creating intense subsonic vibrations
I love Bell Witch. So mesmerizing.

+Cast Down You'll need a six string, I'm trying to transpose it to 4 string now.
5 years late but i learned it on 4 string. (I think)
6 years late, just get a 6 string, my first year listening to Bell Witch convinced me to get a 6, haven't looked back since.
Dude ❤️ 🙌🏼🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

"Bell Witch dont have a very original sound at all"
apparently you stopped reading here.
I was trying to "put my finger on" what makes them appealing. But go ahead, take offense.

@@kensims4086 and now banger reviews gives them 5/5 for their new Album :D
That’s crazy. No one cares if you don’t like it. Go play your “25 thousand LPs”
whatever. this fucking blows. i can't even get drunk to this.
ian jackson I think you could get sad drunk to it. If you were real sad.
Depressing as hell, music should bring you up not down.
+Susan Chapman Nay. Music is to describe how you feel. Sometimes, words can't explain. So, with music, you can get a clearer message on your emotions. That's how I use it, anyways.
+Susan Chapman Pffffhahaha. Who says it should bring you up? Are you on the board of music laws?
nyak nyak nyak

Susan Chapman I love funeral doom, some may consider it "sad music" but it actually brings me up when im feeling sad.
+Susan Chapman Haven't you heard... down is the new up.
