This game seems really charming and cool. I love the stylistic graphics and the idea of swapping your characters to manage your whole town. I'd love to see more!
"Call them filthy campers..." LUL I think its very useful to have 3 characters even in this first half hour, like you just farm up resources, and dont have to walk back. Just swap and build. Like a fast travel system. You can be 3 different places at the same time.
At first I thought it's inconvenient to have 3 characters, but when the swapping is available it does seem pretty cool. Given their respective mechanics, looks like you would want to keep Builder close to the Foreman, the Gatherer running around the area collecting resources, and the Explorer as your long distance traveler.
Awesome video! Kill it as always with the amazing voice choices for the goofy characters! Would love to see more of this game, looks like it needs more playthrough to get out and experience the true game!

I recently bought Crying Suns on your recommendation and it's been a blast, though not the same with out you voicing all the characters. It really brings the characters and games you play to life, even just as a narrator. Cheers anyway, love watching your videos.

I think the changing of characters is an interesting thing (also not really unheard of, hardly new). "Inconvenient," maybe ... but isn't it technically more "inconvenient" to play through a game at all, for hours and hours, rather than just being able to hit a button and instantly watch the end credits? Inconvenience is the very POINT of gaming. Limitations are deliberate. If you find a mechanic more frustrating than fun, that's a valid criticism ... but the reason we game is to work through problems that have no real-life consequences for failure. Inconvenience is nothing to complain about -- it's intentional. Ever notice how fast you got bored with a game when you were a kid when you found a cheat code? You might have played it all day, every day, right after school, but the moment you decide to make things 'easier,' and learned how to make Sonic go Super Sonic any time you wanted, the magic dies. Same thing with people that never really played any of the GTA games for the missions, but just wanted to know how to instantly spawn an army tank in the middle of a street and just blow things up, or focus on running people over and beating up random passersby. Sure, it might get you into some kind of thing resembling "action" quicker, but sometimes, it's okay to let the action wait for a bit. People who do that thing typically get bored inside of 15 minutes ... but the ones that try to play it in good faith with the design find dozens of hours of gameplay.

You have a large burly "wood elf" who has a thick red beard and uses a pick, a small sneaky "wood elf" who has big furry feet and a long cloak, and a normal size "wood elf" who has a floppy hat, wields a hammer, and likes repairing technology. You have a dwarf, a hobbit, and a gnome!
So... the campers won't live in the city because there aren't any houses, but they literally live in portable houses they could just move into the city...
The high level of the art leading into this game shines a glaring light on how low budget the in game art is, specifically the characters. And that animated queen. Yeesh.

Lol I had a lunch lady in HS that had the Doug voice. It was so funny to me that 14 years later I have a half-elf ranger in D&D with that voice.
