    funny story. you mentioned at the end about the harbor freight floor jack standing up against the Snap-on. The Harbor Freight Daytona jack, and the snap-on floor jack, are made in the same factory, on the same assembly line. Snap-on actually sued Harbor Freight over it and lost. Same jack, 1/3 the cost.

    So update on this winch I bought one back in January I mounted it to the hitch mount plate and have used it in multiple situations. Honestly I wasn’t kind at all but it performed great until the other night. I attempted to skid a large hemlock out of the woods and it almost accomplished the job but unfortunately I found the breaking point. The winch blew apart at the mount points the cast housing on both sides of the drum let go. I feel like this tool was pushed well past it’s recommended use and am very impressed that the critical failure did not stop the winch from spooling in or out

    One thing, I use these for an "A" frame hoist to left Trusses for steel buildings. It is advised to run the Ground Cable all the way TO the Battery post and not rely on the Steel Frame of the truck. You may have a loose bolt, etc between the winch and the battery ground and that will cause a LOT Of heat and other problems.

  • @Seeker64
    @Seeker64 Год назад +5

    You can use a roller fairing with the synthetic, as long as you have no damage to the surface of the rollers. It also has a beeter chance of not hurting or melting the rope becasue of friction if your angle is steeper than normal. But steel is better for heavy use. The steel cable helps to cool the motor. And under heavy use the heat of the motor can damage the synthetic rope.

    Harbor Freight has been adding commercial grade lines to their inventory. Such as the Earthquake 1/2 inch composite air impact wrench is a higher quality than the Snap-on version. The Hercules 12 inch miter saw is becoming the job site replacement. With the extended warranty a contractor can take it to the store and walk out with a new one. It is slowly replacing the Dewalt miter saw for dependability and quick turn around if there is an issue. This is not a paid endorsement. I have these tools and use them.

    If a company could make things cheaper at the same quality they would. You get what you pay for in general, and believe me you pay for outsourcing labor to China etc.

      EVERYTHING is made in China, until we drain the swamp. We need to be incentivsing businesses to bring work back to America. I doubt Beijing Biden would want that though.

      @@iraqbeentheredonthat While you are not wrong, all of the outsourcing happened decades ago and both parties are to blame. If you really want a culprit, just look at the taxes on bringing back overseas profits, then ask yourself how China got the capital to build all those factories. And, when they were recently given a tax holiday on overseas income, US companies just used their extra cash for share buybacks.....

      He implied this would be an unbiased review and then at the end spoke about how excited he was to start a relationship with harbor freight.
      What about the inner workings? Motor and gear quality? Usage test? Clearly if you’re thinking about “working with” harbor freight in the near future you wouldn’t totally smear their new winch. You could let some things slide and be not so critical.

    When you get sand and dirt in the synthetic line it can abrade and cut the fibers in the rope. It is imperative to keep it clean, wash with warm soapy water and let air dry when it gets soiled.

I dont understand why people get so upset over their favorite RUclipsrs making money from different outlets whether its from paid per veiw , by view duration , advertising or promotional .... I hope everyone can make as much money as possible because they're taking time from their day to produce content for us to watch that isnt exactly free ... So if they keep making content we enjoy to watch shouldnt they be able to make a living at it ??? Some people seem to not think so and I can't wrap my head around it like its hurting them somehow haha .... Anyhow I completely agree and just adding my thoughts with yours 😄👍👍👍 be blessed my friend and have a good day 🙏👍
