*Tali gets eliminated*
Everyone: The world is healing.
Balance has been restored
No more pain from eyesores
Gotta keep the paid Villain long enough for the entertainment.
Finally..Inner Peace
My nightmares are over
I refuse to believe Tali wasn't a paid actor
I could see that. Felix moved to LA initially to be an actress. I knew her in highschool and a little into college years.
@@thepineyappleand now she dances on a pole.
I know for a fact the majority of masterchef juniors are actors. Wouldn't shock me if a lot of the masterchef ones are too
The make up of these competitive cooking shows is always half actual contenders. The other half is hopeless disasters only there for the entertainment factor
@@MrDrainBramagedhow u know this?
That crab died for nothing, such a shame
Okay, so it seems that you, along with the 408 others who upvoted, aren't acknowledging that the canned crabs also had to die?
It's only deemed sad when the food is thrown away, as wasting any food is a disgusting behavior. To ensure fairness on the show all cooks should be required to eat their meals if they're poorly prepared.

You forgot to mention how Tali actually came back later that season for a special "Second Chance" episode where selected contestants previously eliminated that season were given another chance to come back into the competition. And in that episode, Tali AGAIN blew that second chance.
Is anyone really surprised? He legit said “what should I do to these guys?” when picking his ingredient. That instantly made everyone know he was gonna screw up
@@dorgyamtso4830 Its funny how, despite knowing this was the result, it always baffled me how he managed to find new ways to screw things up.

The thing I always remembered about this guy was he never listened to judge feedback and then tried to say he learned so much from them when he left
hey
Humans can definitely be one of the most stubborn and arrogant beings. Like once you compliment someone for something shallow they it let take over them and this guy was like that throughout the whole game
“What you did on this plate was inappropriate” lmao
Yeah they are so dramatic
"Sir you violated this plate. Not cooked, violated."
Why did it look like he didn’t even taste it
I'm convinced the only food Joe ever eats is risotto
This guy is good tv. That's why production wanted him kept over pretty much everyone he went up against who was obviously better.
Yeah always a few contestants who have no shot of winning, they keep them around for content
It’s not a real contest if most of it is already pre written and scripted for entertainment
@@dnaharis7037 Same thing for Cutter at season 5, dude miraculously made it into the top 4, and Krissi on season 4, tho albeit Krissi does have good talent
@@G3rmanhenry Yes, shows like X Factor and American Idol are scripted as hell. I do not trust Simon Cowell to make something genuine.
However, Gordon Ramsay's shows are real because you can see the talent of the contestants. And for shows like Kitchen Nightmares, you can also tell it's real because some restaurant owners in the show have such a huge ego that they refuse to follow Gordon's advise and actively make their restaurants worse to the point that it gets media attention. Yes I'm talking about Amy's diner. So glad it was shut down.
That’s how a lot of these shows work, my parents are incredibly gullible when that kind of thing happens but it’s so obvious to me - the loud mouth or dramatic person makes for good television, the longer you keep them on the more problems occur and stir up talk and opinions of the show
That smile when Christina cut herself was just sadistic.
😂
It HAD to be an edit. I can’t fathom someone being THAT deranged on live tv.

Humans are definitely capable of that
@@BelBelle468 That part might be, but giving a blind girl a live crab to work with is pretty messed up already lol
@@BelBelle468 That's how the production team edited it, yes
Theres something to be said about giving a blind person a live crab out of malicious intent and getting decimated anyways.
What a laughable person
And then she turns the table by actually winning the competition. I wonder if masterchef would allow another disabled cook to compete cause christine was (is) an amazing cook
@@navarel9892 this is what you call "The One". "The One" who despite all adversity, still pushes through
I mean to be fair, thats how most big companies compete within these days, by schemic plans. Most people arent nice when it comes to money and fame and on theory that "evil" plan should have worked if not for Christine was such a genius she is
Dude, you do know that the blind girl voluntarily signed up for this as a contestant right? Why should she get special privileges lol? If she's a chef, blind or not, she should be able to handle a crab, and she did.
@littylit444 Cool, sadly, that has nothing to do with what i said.
Remove blind from the sentence, and the point remains the same.
I just find it funny the dudes smiling his head off, creating these odds just to get btfoed because he partnered with an idiot. Meanwhile, the 2 people he insults in the show decimate him. Being blind just makes it funnier when she even plated better than the guy.
I didn't say anything about special treatment, learn to read what's there.
Ryan was evil I’m glad he got thrown out with his little buddy.
He was just like Sabrina in hell's kitchen, throwing everyone else under the bus when they're on the chopping block
Scheming instead of just being fair and competitive is immoral but I gotta say it makes the competition more interesting.
he knows who the threats are, you still gotta put them handicaps on your opponents
"fighting fair" is the most naive and innocent thing you could say on a competitive place like the kitchen esp on chefs.
put them on with things they're weak against, fight them against with ur strengths.
I wonder if it's one of those times where shows make one person as an evil person with editing tricks and make Ryan smile on the blind lady
@@Emongus13 Oh there was definitely editing involved. Ryan laughing at Christine is just the usual villain-edit the designated villains get. Imho nothing wrong with giving Christine the blindcrab, in fact I almost give him credit. He realized how talented Christine is and viewed her as a competitor, not some charity case that needed to be coddled. It's not like he tripped her or anything truly dirty lol.
In the crab episode, I felt like Tali's awful dish still paled in comparison to Ryan attempting to sabotage a blind person with a sharp ingredient.
Why? It's a fair competition. Why would he throw away his chance to win? It's not like he sabotages her food.
@MoonMillenniummon Because he uses her disability against her, knowing she would probaly get hurt! That's not fair competition! This show is about cooking abilities! He chose the crab knowing she was the strongest contestant. That's not fair competion!
@@LPdedicated So? She goes into the competition knowing full-well she needs to work with ingredients (raw ones as well). It's not like he places a toothpick in her ingredients or anything. I see no foul play.
I have no words to describe this guy
@@kat340 You have no words because your logic is flawed. He simply gave her a disadvantage in a competition. Why would that be a bad thing? If she couldn't pass, it meant her disability hindered her cooking career. Else, as you already know, she won the prize.
They totally paid this guy to be the bad guy. Him and Ryan. Gordon knows his formula: outrageous drama for his american audience.
While I'm not sure they paid them, they definitely shift goal posts to keep toxic contestants in (Kristi is a perfect example).
@@mikelxanadu They cast these shows knowing full well who will bring in the most viewers. A blind person gets the sympathy viewers and the bad guys gets the controversy hate watchers. Well it's TV.
The sweet risotto has actually been done by a very skilled chef (chef Dyan) at an upscale restaurant called Auburn. She prepares it just like a risotto, so the rice still has bite but it's (creamy unlike rice pudding). The difference is that she actually has the skills for it to work.
Like dessert cheese with almonds dried apricots and cheese
Tbf jo didn't even try talis risotto so we don't if it was bad. It didn't look like anything was on his fork and if there was something it was barley anything.
@@cintaminbunny probably scripted drama
This season had the two chefs I couldn’t stand Tali and Ryan. Tali to me always acted anybody like the judges should always praise him for using unnecessary gastronomy with his cooking. Ryan was just always a jerk to everyone and it felt like he was gods gift to Masterchef
Ryan was set up to be the bad guy from the first time he appeared and told the judges "nobody works harder than me" when he was unemployed and just a spoiled rich boy from Manhattan lol.
One reason to believe that Tali was planted in the show by the executives: We never saw his signature dish and neither judges give a yes.
What's his signature dish?
Two reasons
The blind girl did amazing if I remember correctly it was wild
Yeah she won
She won first place, and a depressed man won second.
Shows that anyone can make it.
Too bad the 2nd place winner ended up ending his life later on.
So sad 😢@@BelBelle468
Ryan's smile reminded me of Norman Bates smile at the end of "Psycho". Tali was such an awful person, he definitely overstayed his welcome. I am so glad Christine won, she deserved it!!
the dude clearly only remained in the competition because he was hated. it's as some say in show biz: the worst sin you can commit is being boring. Tali wasn't boring, he was one of the "villains" of the season, so the show build him up so his inevitable elimination had a bigger emotional pay-off, while keeping people hate-watching him in the process. it makes sense for television, but it really takes the "reality" part out of "reality show"
I forget who said this to Monti, either Tali or Ryan but one of those two told her to flash the soldiers they just cooked for a challenge and so they can win the challenge, she got mad at them (As she should), and someone got mad that she got mad at them
Someone got mad that she got mad? That doesn't make any sense. What is up with that someone? 🤦🏻♂️
Tali hated Monty cause she ACTUALLY had talent
I thought that bald chef wasn't actually chef, just a nepo baby who inherited everything
Yep Joe wasn't actually a chef, his mom was.
You're correct
He’s not even Italian either, he’s Croatian but acts like he knows everything about the cuisine. In Italy we would destroy him and his ego 😅 porca puttana
@@karussoul Yeah, he's far worst. I mean how the hell the show keep him there for who knows how long?
@@VergilTheMotivatedKatanaMan Joe was the judge everyone hated..
Gordon may be harsh sometimes but he ALWAYS tells the contestants what's wrong with their food, while Joe often personally insults the contestants without even giving a constructive criticism. He has Gordon's ego but nowhere near the talent, probably kept for drama.
The shows are absolutely rigged. That's why I ultimately stopped watching. You could tell from a production standpoint, that they had very specific favorites that wanted to center on for TV. Because ultimately, even if it is a competition, it's got to be compelling viewing, and the audience needs to have a payoff at the end of it all. That's not to say that contestants aren't actually putting in the work, but again, the network and editors have to create a compelling narrative. So they absolutely skew in favor of that.
to be fair most of those shows are produced that way. A friend of a friend of mine was a contestant in Germany's version of the voice and he told us in private that all the votes and everything were rigged. We found out about that because he meat up with her on a weekend the show was running live. She then asked him if he is sure to be coming cause the voice is being on that day and he laughed and told her not to worry as he knows he would be eliminated the show before that. This was a week before the show he then indeed was being eliminated.
I mean what are you expecting? most TV shows are like that, yes even RUclips
Forget about anything being real, they don't care if you think it's real or not, they want your views & attention & they basically achieved that
@@xXVibrantSnowXx Did you not read the part where I specified that I stopped watching specifically because of that? Yeah, reality TV is scripted and plays to the audience. I get that. Always have. They need to make it more dramatic and interesting. However, plenty of other reality competition shows have and continue to do so, much less obviously. I'm willing to suspend a little disbelief, but at a certain point I tap out. So yeah, they got me for the first few seasons, and then lost me for all the subsequent ones. Hooray short-term thinking.
They did this with cutter as well in season 5 as well
My friend was on Master Chef Denmark, and she saw crew tamper with her dish. It was a pasta competion and she's half Italian and a very talented home cook. She ended up in the pressure test (she won). The other contestants had her back though.
His hidden skills are so well hidden that he himself can't find them

She has a ton of sympathy from people because of her blindness. The show can go "see, we gave this amazing award (LOL) to a disabled person! We are so awesome!" And audiences can feel all warm because a disabled person won. She's probably a pretty good cook but you can't deny that there's some bts nonsense going on.
10:05 - Actually, Ryan was the LAST person to serve his chocolate molten lava cake to the judges... NOT the first. He presented his dish just before time ran out. But even then, the judges still hated the dish.
This proves how fixed shows are. The judges don't pick who goes home. The producers do. That's why the idiots always stay around for so long. Because they're entertainment.
10:05 Actually RYAN was the last to serve with barely a second left on the clock
He also keep say the judges names like he called Graham, aaron. It has to be an ai, not a human

I remember the season an well the fact Christine was blind an able to win was amazing
That Crème Fraîche pronunciation had me 13:14 was so over the top. Not even how a French person would pronounce it
Now we need Tali and Raj to team up and open a restaurant and then seeing it on Kitchen Nightmares. KEKW
8:55 It was less of the show being rigged and more that the judges could see Tali having the potential to MAYBE improve past that point (even if that was wishful thinking) while Helene had obviously stagnated. And on a dish that should have been in her culinary wheelhouse no less.
If Tali's ego wasn't so unbelievably huge while being encouraged by Ryan, he might've actually gotten somewhere with his creativity. Somewhere. Not winning but somewhere
Not to say Tali wasn't awful, but these shows manipulate stuff and tell contestants what to do so they have rivalries and villains while keeping some around for longer for entertainment. They did so towards Ryan throughout the competition where they blatantly scripted each moment and told him things to say. That smile at 5:45 was clearly at a different point in time. Sorry, but this video and the attitude sums up the problem with fans of these shows and how you are all so blinded by the truth of TV. Listening to this was cringe to the extreme. How was he "playing dirty" for doing something that was part of the competition and smart by seeing her as a threat? And "eat his own words" is an exaggeration when he was humble about it and praised her. The insults they said about and towards Monty was confirmed ages ago to be the producers doing. Good lord, I get you're trying your hardest to be entertaining with this, but it just comes off as sad. "It's times like these where I think the show is rigged." Yeah, because it almost like IT IS where they pre-determine many things and how there have been loads of examples of it, as everyone has figured out ages ago and with contestants coming out about it, especially season 5 which was entirely rigged for Courtney to win despite the runner-up being better and where they lied about Leslie messing up with the sugar. 🤦♂
I don’t know why they keep tali they want reality tv😂
Producers-case closed, the show probably got decent rating because of Tali's antisticks.
Tali Clavijo is Raj Brandston of Masterchef USA.

It's unfair to say Ryan tried to throw her out and say "she couldn't see" when the judges said she would be treated the same as a person with perfect vision and she can't see anything.
Even then, he clearly lacks the conscience to consider that giving a live crab to a blind cook is an incredibly tasteless move, even as a joke.
Sure sure it's a competition I guess.
@@saltissalty3498 while i agree with the sentiment, Christina, even while blind, should not get special treatment.

The funny thing is he thought he was a visionary. Lol.
The show is rigged. Helen got removed because the executives didn't see much potential for entertaining TV from her. Tali however, could make for great TV. And apparently have such a big impact that RUclipsrs in 2024 are still making videos about them.
they keep villain characters in for an extra long time every season so you hate watch. They even always have that episode where they are on the line, but a decent person gets by instead
He was a paid actor. MasterChef a production. Everyone receives cues from the production team, and the judges keep on the chefs who are most popular with viewers. Tali received a lot of engagement from viewers, so of course they kept him on.
The combination of Ryan and Tali is just the worst combo ever.
4:12 Only possible reason: Sticking up for Christina. Ryan has never been a fan of hers.

Yup, Gordon does this exact same staging in his other shows Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. Keep controversial characters around for prolonged drama to boost rating. He must’ve made a killing in the bank and fortune in reselling property when his restaurants close down.
Great example of “you don’t need talent” to make it far in the show.
But you need it to win it which is the whole point of the competition in the first place.
