It’s been a while!
Yeah I know - I need more hours in each day!
Congrats on the new car mate nice blokes deserve nice things 👍🏾
Cheers Brad! Some of my nice things actually work now! 😂
If you have spare time Chris, have a look at Vice Grip Garage. I'm watching him try to start an abandoned 69 Cadillac. He's replaced the sparko-laters and refilled the ice cube juice.
Humour is great and an enjoyable watch.
Best wishes. Paul
Will do Paul - sounds good 👍🏻
Hi Chris good to see you back and I always enjoy your videos! I replaced my GT with a Giulietta 1.4TB and TBH it left me a little cold. Looking forward to seeing your video to hear your experiences of it. Trouble is what to replace it with as I can't stretch to a Giulia Quadrofoglio. The GT has something special about it. Keep 'em coming!
Hi mate, thanks for watching and I know what you mean about the Giulietta - it just doesn’t have the same level of build quality or driving pleasure. Shame.
Very nice the lancia beta spider, you didnt mention I think that it was a bertone intervention, I have a series 1 alfetta. I am sorry to say you will have a lot of metal work by the looks of your car, nevertheless its a great fun car!! Enjoy welding!!!! Cheers from argentina!
Hi Juan! Thanks for watching - yes I am expecting to find more rust on the Alfetta when I start looking!
You can always wrap the cockpit panels. Would be a good video on customising your new Giulia 👏👍
Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Lovely entry in the garage with the Lancia Beta! They're light and lively little cars, appreciating assets from the FIAT/LANCIA era. Would love to see more about it.
Hi mate, thanks for watching! Yes I will definitely feature the Spyder in another episode - its a car I am definitely keeping due to sentimental value. It was also a huge bargain - about half its real value! 😍👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut Very well done and what a lucky find. Regarding the sentimental value, I totally understand where you're coming from! I am also just after a car that has meant a lot to me (was my first car I bought), which is the evolution of the original Maserati Biturbo (222 4V in this case). Hope your story with the Lancia brings me good luck! Cheers and keep the revs high 😆
Maserati is s great first car!! I have also owned a couple of Masers - 4200’s 😍
Chris, congratulations on the purchase of the quadrifoglio! Can’t wait to see some videos on it! My goal is to own one of them one day! Its an unbelievable piece of craftsmanship in my eyes. In the meantime I’m currently ‘car less’ after my GT sadly gave up on me last month. Time to save the pennies and work a bit harder! Thank you for the inspiring videos as always 👊
Thanks Thomas - sorry to hear about your GT. It’s hard getting to a position where you can afford something like a Quad - sometimes you just have to take some action and trust that you will get the right result! I have worked hard, creating several income streams over the last 10 years, so now it’s time to enjoy some “me” time! 😉👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut Nice one Chris. Well deserved Sir!
Great video Chris, I enjoyed it. Congrats on your new purchases. Enjoy 👍🏼
Cheers for watching Rick! Hows your GTV doing - is it finished now? I’ve got a nice rusty Alfetta if you fancy a new project? 🤣
Workshop looks fantastic and the Lancia too. Looking forward to the Giulietta video, although I'm biased towards viewing them favorably having owned a, so far, bulletproof 2014 1.4 petrol Sportiva. I see yours has twin exhaust denoting either diesel or 1750 petrol, but it'll be interesting to get your verdict. I've never driven the GT but I'd expect it to feel a little more dynamic possibly, but I can say that my Giulietta feels nicely balanced and planted, steering is direct, gear changes are pretty crisp and as Mike Brewer might say it "gets down the road nicely" with 0-60 around 7.5 secs - albeit with a little wheel spin and torque steer if you poke it with a stick. I haven't done any massive road trips yet but heading from the Midlands down to the south coast, the Giulietta feels like a little GT car (ironically in this context) - very comfortable when motorway cruising and fun enough on B roads, with the added practicality of rear doors and a decent sized boot. The GT is a great looking car though - still a head turner for an Alfa fan like me. Great news about the Giulia - what a beast! Cheers
Cheers for watching Ben - my G is a 2.0jtdm and frankly its not as nice to drive as the GT that it replaced! Still good though. The Quadrifoglio is a beast and I’m loving driving it
Hi Ben, thanks for watching and for your comments - the Quadrifoglio video is out today! Giulietta drive vid is next 👍🏻
Excellent news! I’m looking forward to seeing the QV on the channel
No doubt it will make an appearance or three!
Hi Chris.. Great to see you back! Absolutely love your Lancia and the Alfetta and I'm really looking forward to update videos on both. Also a huge congratulations on the impending arrival of your stunning QV... You must be soooo excited! I absolutely love Misano Blue and would be the colour I'd pick too! Oh yes.. I love your garage too 👌
Cheers Russell - lots of work to do this year to say the least! I still haven't finished my other projects! Yes - I can't wait for the QV - about 2-3 more weeks that's all!
The Alfa Nut the qv its really fun i have a white one just like that in the video, really quick!!! Congrats!!!!
Hello Chris. So pleased you are settled in your new garage. Love the fact that you have a Gulia Quadrifoglio, Lancia Beta and Alfa GTV. Will be interesting to see what you think of the Gulietta. Would prefer a 159 but it's hard trying to find a good one.
Hi Joseph, thanks for watching - I don’t think the giulietta is as much fun to drive as the GT but its still a good car. 159’s are getting like the 156 now - rare on the road!
@@TheAlfaNut they are. I saw a 100000 TBi in black for 6 grand at an official Jeep website last year. I can save up for a couple of years, so I wonder if going for a Guilia is better or grab the first main dealer 159 that turns up
I would always buy a used car from an Alfa club member - that has always worked for me!
Damn! At time of writing this the likes are on 159..... What do I do? I can't click the like button!
Hi Steve - you need to be logged into RUclips with an account to like and subscribe!
The Alfa nut didn't get the Alfa joke
@@frasercurrie7267 No he didn't...... And now it's on 164 for crying out loud! 🤣
Sorry boys, I wasn’t paying attention! 🤣🍀
Wow congratulations for your new cars! It's such a great collection.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio will be amazing!
I really like the Lancia Beta and the Alfetta GTV.
Hi Stanislas - how are you? Thanks for watching. I'm trying to build a better collection that will be more valuable in the future.
@@TheAlfaNutI am good and you?
On my side I have bought a second Alfa Romeo, one my dream car: the 147 GTA.
lancia is beautiful
Thanks Charlie, I agree - its a Zagato car and very pretty 😍
Hi Chris, mancave looking good.looks like you've been busy.Bet you cant wait to get your hands on that QV?Shame about the Sprint, but it probably looked better on the outside than it actually was? Been there, more than once...Nice little Beta spider and Alfetta hope the "patina" is not too bad,That Sticker on the beamer tho...😂
Hi Rob, thanks for watching mate, yes lots to be getting on with - I’ll have to outsource some of it I think!
I love the GTV! I think that the Alfetta based GTVs are my all-time favourite Alfas………been hooked on them ever since having a sit in one in 1984, when I was 12!
Me too Simon, it always seemed like they were “grown up” and expensive Alfas though and unlikely I would ever own one. I must be “grown up” now! 🤣
Very happy for you that you bought yourself a Giulia quadrifoglio ! That's quite amazing actually
Thanks mate, yes isn’t it? I can’t quite believe it myself but I’ll have to start a savings account for petrol & tyres! 🤣
These videos are great but please please please chill with the random sound effects. It gets old real quick.
Thanks for watching mate, yep sorry I sometimes think that if I don’t add some visual effects, viewers will get bored of me droning on! 😬
Owning one myself I'm perhaps a little biased but the Spider...preety car as they say in the Italian Job. You don't see too many silver ones either.
Hi Stuart, thanks for watching - yes indeed, its a preety car! 😍 my first car was a 1.6 Beta Coupe, so the Spyder has sentimental value as well. Its in generally great nick but the brakes are binding though of course! 😆
I suppose they are too old now but I’d love to see an Alfa 75 3.0 V6 featured. A GTV6 is the next best thing though.
Hi Kenneth - I’d love to test a 75 V6, if I can find someone who owns one, I’ll make a vid 👍🏻
Super videos. My 916 GTV is coming out of storage next week and oh there will be some fun had.
Thanks for watching Mark - enjoy your GTV, its going to be dry & sunny this week! 👍🏻
Nice to see you again happy your getting a giulia..I do appreciate your efforts thank you so very much bravo grazie grazie Mille ciao ciao
Hi James, thanks for watching mate. Hope all is good with you?
Omg. A Lancia Beta coupe was my first car. In Green with tan hides. ! 😍🥰😇
You have good taste my man - my first car was a 1982 2.0 coupe in white! Wish I still had it
A new QV, I’m so jealous Chris!! Misano Blue is really good too 👍. Ooh a Beta Spider too! I had a Fulvia Coupe back in the day.
Hi Martyn, you won’t be jealous of the gas bills! 😵💫 I’m feeling a little panicky watching the prices at the pumps go up and up! The Beta is a sentimental, first car, misty eyed purchase 😍
Alfa porn, what's not to like 😍 looking forward to your future content.
Hi mate, thanks for watching!
What two brilliant amazing choices Chris , the Alfa QV in BLUE! wow haven't seen one yet in Europe. Not sure about the black wheels thou, I think it kills the elegance of the car. The Lancia is such a stunner - 2 brilliant choices mate
Thanks mate, the new Giulia only has black wheels - there are no other choices! I would have chosen dark grey gloss personally. The Lancia is a time machine - it reminds me of being 23! 👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut I know what you mean about the Lancia - for me too! It was the Dedra at the time , you just can't not love Lancia , such a beautiful brand , hope they will be back. Dark grey for the wheels is much better then the black for the QV - I would just go for the normal silver grey. Enjoy them mate.
@@sainta2667 Now I have my Quadrifoglio, the wheels are actually dark gloss grey - exactly what I wanted! What a great car!
i just ordered my 3rd QV you are on broad late, but you will enjoy every minute with your QV
Better late than never!
Look forward to bringing my Italian to your HQ some day soon.
Hey mate, yeah we should do a ride out vid after the storms have blown away! 🤣
Love that Alfetta GTV! Beautiful classic lines.
Yes agreed - they are a very pretty design
When you started off about head vs. heart I already knew where that would end 🙂
Yes - you know it!
It’s a Lancha not a cia
Ho hum
OK - sorry "Lanchia" :0)
Congratulations for your new wonderful car! 👍
Thank you! And thanks for watching 😉👍🏻
Congratulations 👏 Chris. Now you can go for retirement after buying Giulia Q.Don't forgot off start stop and remove GPF😄
Thanks Marcin - I will!
@@TheAlfaNut workshop amazing,great stuff
Congratulations on the new bella's
Thanks for watching Vincent!
Nice video, nice cars 👍👍.
Greetings Gert
Hi gert - thanks for watching!
We want more videosssss ❤️❤️❤️
I’m working on it! 😉👍🏻
Hello Chris! Congratulations for your great garage! I love it. When i was young I was crazy for Lancia Beta spider and the Alfetta GTV just like the ones you have in your garage . I'd like to know how and why was born your passion for alfa. You are a great alfa lover! wonderful ! 👍👍👍
Hi mate, thanks for watching! My Mothers family are Italian, so I think my passion for Italian cars must be from my genes! 😄🍀. My cousin and I had competitions to see who could get the coolest cars - Lancias, Alfas, Lotus, Porsche - he always beat me but now I am winning at last! 🤣
@@TheAlfaNut
oh yeah ... the genes....when it comes to Alfa we must always consider that there is always the heart as well as the mind ....
I was forgetting to do the best congratulation for your new amazing QV 😍🍀
Thanks very much, I’ve waited a long time for this car! 🔥🔥
@@TheAlfaNut
A lot of Thanks to you mate to spread the our Alfa passion 😊🍀
You’ll love the QV. Ed
Cheers Ed, I’ve already started a “petrol & tyres” fund! 😆
Beautiful Alfetta !
Cheers Makcolm - I hope you are well? 👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut Just looking forward to spring !
Me too - getting blown around AGAIN today! 🥺
That interior is in better condition than my 2011 159, thats kids for you
Haha yeah - my kids won't be going in that car. Ever!
My mrs bought them some ice cream and I said you’ve got no chance of taking them in that car, you’ll have to eat them outside, it was about -5c outside as well, that went down well with her.
She obviously didn’t understand that we have to get our priorities right! 🤣
Glad to see you back in the man (alfa) cave ps the twin spark reminds me of my old 156 as for the quadrafoglio 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Andy - thanks for watching! Can't wait to get in the Quad!
Congratulations 👏
Thank you - its been hard work to get myself into this position but worth waiting for! 👍🏻🍀
Ah, Lancia…….. that Beta took me back to my youth too. I owned an HPE and two of my friends owned a Monte Carlo and a Fulvia respectively. We had such great fun, me mostly trying to stop the dreaded rust worm in the wings and adjacent areas. I’ve had a soft spot for Lancia ever since and would dearly love a restored Fulvia but cost has skyrocketed unfortunately. 😕
Hi Gizmo - Yes, the prices are going up quickly its true. I managed to buy my Beta Spyder for half its real value, as the previous owner wasn’t interested in the car! A great piece of luck 😎
Great video. Looking forward to 2022. Any updates on the v6 gtv? :)
Cheers Tony, its awaiting yet another engine strip to re-seal the water transfer junction / thermostat body 🙄
Hows your GTV going?
@@TheAlfaNut getting there. Its running :D rear subframe should be fully rebuild this week. Just waiting for the right weather to get underneath and clean up any surface rust. Just the front end and a little welding off hand and I should be getting close to MOT time. Can't wait. It'll still look a little ropey cosmetically but I can enjoy it and work on the pretty bits as I go.
It will be worth it Tony - its an investment. They are starting to creep up in value now 👍🏻
Good to see things going well Chris , some lovely cars there ....congrats on the QV.
Love the Alfetta ! All change here , my Zoe is gone and I now have a Brera Prodrive...I wish I had your garage space but my situation means one car only at present ...
You’ve not done a prodrive review , if you’re interested once she’s fettled ?
As for the Ducati 😍
Cheers for watching Joe - I did test drive a Brera Prodrive, it was my Xmas 2019 video! Quadrifoglio arrival video is out today! 👍🏻
What a beautiful little car that Beta is . I can see your logic with the alfetta and once done is arguably a nicer classic to own than its predecessor . Then the Quadrofoglio , well I can only applaud your taste and hard graft !! Looking forward to seeing it .
Thanks Leo - it may not seem like it but I'm trying to adopt a sensible policy with buying cars - "buy, them, improve them, sell them, move up the ladder" is the philosophy!
Welcome back
Cheers Paul
congrats!!
Thanks for watching mate!
So jealous of your new car, gratz man, great decision
Hi Dominik - thanks for watching mate, don't be jealous - I'm not rich, I just work hard!
favoloso!
Grazie Alessandro!
Good choice man greetings from Italy the motherland of Alfa-Romeo 😉.
Ciao Lorenzo - I am hoping to drive to Italy this year!
@@TheAlfaNut 😉
Great job Chris!
Hi Vilim, thanks for watching - hope you are well?
@@TheAlfaNut Yes, thanks for asking.
...beside dilema with what to replace my tired 147, same year GT in good condition or newer but also tired Giu?
@@vilimracki841 Difficult decision! The Giulia is a great car, even the base models are great drivers and can be remapped easily for more power.
Good choice, Giulia Quadrifoglio!
Cheers man!
I'm jealous...
Sorry Jorg! I will have to work very hard to pay for all this - RUclips doesn't make me any money! :0)
@@TheAlfaNut Yep, that was one of my reasons for buying the Veloce instead. The other one being that my wife would have killed me...
🤣
Yay quadrifoglio!
YESSSSS!
