- Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 14
- She began singing at the age of one and a half
- At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos.
- *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help.
Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person.
- She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old.
- In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes"
- When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need.
- The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney.
- Angelina has covered more than 120 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else)
- Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent.
- Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube)
In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

After she won Norway's Got Talent just after her eighth birthday, (all performances went viral), she hired, (of course with parental help), this band. She has sung with them up until her move to LA and a contract with Republic Records. She also had two young men guitarists to accompany her in most of her early covers. Her Dad's brother, her uncle Michael, became her manager and agent. You are completely accurite in that she is a gift to all and in these difficult times! She has always, this performance included, arranged all of her music herself. Her Grandma Meri has had the most effect on her musical carreer and the family has protected her from the obvious bad influences of this business. Rob Christie, head of studio productions for Republic, and a musician as well, has played the piano with her on a few covers for an extended period. He has helped her career with a very careful guiding hand as well. It was no accident that she has signed with Republic as she was hotly pursued by a string of other companies. The family has always insisted that she be allowed to finish her education and grow up before she becomes the super star legend that we fans know will happen!
This was informational, respectful and now I must agree accurate! I Thank-you for taking the time to tell me this. Angelina not only deserves this type of respect but I would be upset if she didn’t receive this kind of careful attention. I must give considerable accolades to her parents, grandmother, mentors and anyone who put Angelina ahead of themselves! She is a light, there is no doubt in my mind her talent is one of a kind.

How I missed your reactions to this young lady, is beyond me. Everyday I type in "Angelina Jordan reactions" and scroll through the list, looking for new videos. As I do everyday, I come on RUclips, type in 'Angelina Jordan reactions today' and get my daily dose of this young ladies voice. Today I did a search for this song, and as I scrolled down through the comments, there was your reply. Not that I don't listen to other music (my playlists on my youtube page are quite varied) but Angelina is my favorite singer, and at 66, I've heard a few. You mentioned people putting their differences aside, and that made me think of another young artist I just started following. I have been following a young German girl (now 22) @sinadrums for about 7 years. She collaborates with young new artists to give them exposure. One such artist was an 11 year old girl named Lotus Cole. (she is now 12) The song she sang was written by Sina's Dad, and it's about all the hatred and divisiveness in the world, and it's called "Smile". I loved this girls voice on this song, and was shocked that she was so young. You really do need to listen to it, whether you react to it or not. There is a video of her in first grade. Her class is singing like 6 year olds would sing. Angelina has a look on her face like she is bored out of her mind and just a couple of years later she wins Norway's Got Talent.
What modern media has shown is that there are a large group of child prodigies out there-old souls in child bodies. Angelina, Jackie Evancho, Amara Willighagen.
Angelina is a torch singer and that went out of fashion in the early 1960's. Her recent rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent-The Champions was nothing less than mind blowing.

Hi, Rusty is correct I have known AJ since she was 8yr old I am 67 and I adore her, her voice is simply out of this world I know there's other young singers that are amazing, but Angelina is different she has her own style she can change words music , she wrote 5 songs so far she is 15 and looking gorgeous. This song all the changes she did all her growls she did, you can't teach someone to do that it was pure organic. Thank you for your reaction.

At nine years old, she had already published her book, “Between Two Hearts.” At seven, she won “Norway’s Got Talent.” This girl is absolutely sensational… she truly is one of the all-time greatest female vocalists.

You got the right one this time. She started singing in her crib at 18 months. She's on tape singing a line of of I Will Always Love you from Whitney Houston. No one in the family is musically inclined. Her grandma loves jazz & exposed Angelina to it at a very young age. In an interview she said her Mom wanted her to sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, but she preferred jazz. The rest is history!

Yes, "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" on _Norway's Got Talent_ is one of her best performances, despite being only her third one "in the public eye" (and containing absolutely no vocal "fireworks", like this one - and missing the second verse due to talent-show time constaints). Despite all of that, it's some _damn_ fine singing!
(As is her _second_ performance in the same competition, an a cappella version of Billie Holiday's "I'm a Fool to Want You". Those two are in constant battle in my mind for the title of most impressive talent-show performance I've ever seen. Both subtle and understated in their own distinct ways… but both knocked out of the friggin' park.)
@@DonaldLancon I agree. If I had to choose between them, I would go with "I'm a Fool...." When I go back and watch that I'm just amazed at her "talent" and "cool". No assistance in finding the right note to start on; no accompaniment; total quiet on the stage except the sound of her voice; all eyes on her; and she just nails it. Then with that snaggletooth smile, she half curtsies, says thanx, and gets back in line. And the other singing contestants realize they are toast. WOW!

OMG you didn't know Angelina yet? You should react to her Bohemian Rhapsody version on America's Got Talent. She also does some real good Amy Winehouse covers and is very good in old blues and jazz songs. Her parents protect her a little so she only does some songs and a few concerts a year, but when she grows up she will be one of the best performers of her days I think.

My first reaction after this tiny little kid started to sing, she nearly scared the sh*t out of me when she belted out "I put a spell on you". I have been following you for roughly as long as I've been following Angelina, about 2 years. You have always had interesting reactions to music but mostly I've watched reactions by you to hard/classic/progressive/blues rock. My depression was so profound I often could not tell how many days had passed since I had last slept or ate or spoken out loud. Angelina saved me. She made me want to be alive so I could hear her voice one more time. I cannot adequately describe the effect this young lady with her sweet beautiful soul and beguiling voice has had on me. Something starts to resonate in my heart the instant she begins to sing or speak. I have learned a great deal about Angelina as a person through my own efforts and with the help of so many others too numerous to mention without leaving someone out. We are a family of fans utterly dedicated to Angelina, enraptured and mesmerized by her ability to so profoundly convey emotion through song. Forget her talent and beauty. When you learn all the amazing details of Angelina's life and her entirely selfless devotion to family, friends and all people everywhere you will learn what true beauty means.
No matter what she sings it becomes hers while somehow taking nothing away from the original artist. Her interpretations are pure, without artifice or ego. Whether 6 years old or 14 the music and Angelina become one. Her own compositions are far beyond anything one would ever expect from such a young girl. It's like she only desires to comfort, to heal and to elevate the soul of everyone around her. That she is able to do so with grace, humility and purity of heart at such a young age has convinced me absolutely that she must surely be sent by God to heal me and all who are in need. Nothing else exists when Angelina sings. I close my eyes and I am transported to that magic place of which she often speaks. I am forever grateful that I did not do the unthinkable, that by some miracle I was rescued.
Please continue to discover Angelina. Whether or not you post personal reactions to her you owe it to yourself to allow Angelina a permanent place in your heart. I doubt I will ever have a chance to hear her in person and if I were to somehow meet her I believe I would collapse in tears of joy, probably die on the spot and be happy to depart this life in such happy circumstance.
I never married and have no children. Discovering Angelina has been like finding a granddaughter I never knew who, beyond my ability to comprehend, forgives and loves with a simplicity only the innocent can possess.

Please never despair as long as you have your guardian angel Angelina with you! I too suffer from depression and this world can be a cold & lonely place.. find comfort in knowing that you are loved for you. Find happiness in the little things like Angelina.. God knows your pain and sends his angels to keep watch. Jeffrey be strong.. I have been weak & very sad so many times.. go outside just 5 minutes & pray.. that has always helped me. Angelina is heaven sent and remember the Lord loves us all 🤗

I have been really surprised by the number of veterans I know from group or vets I served with or vets I just run into every day who have stories similar to mine. No matter any criticism of Angelina, I have no doubt that she has saved many more just like you and I. Whatever happens I know there is One whose love for us is infinite and eternal. He sent us Angelina.

She came from the planet "Talent" where everyone has some kind of super ability. She lived on the same street as Dimash and around the corner from Tiger Woods. She came in a rocket wrapped in a blanket which her family made into the outfit she wore on AGT, with the leftovers making the mask in the "The Show Must Go On" video. Her only "Kryptonite" is the Hollywood Music Machine.. So far, her family has done a great job shielding her. Hopefully she never gets caught up by it.

Surprised and excited to see you react once again to the B/W version of "Spell on You". Wasn't expecting this. Totally different approach and display of talent with this song. She Restructured/Rearranged Screamin Jay Hawkins 1956 version of this song, minus his theatrics. That was his Face on the candle you saw Angelina holding at beginning of this video (where you said "that's funny"). The beginning also showed her handing rearrangement notes to one of the recording producers to convey to the rest of the musicians (Probably that part after the saxophone lead where she sings "Hey hey hey! What's Up", followed by that Horn Blast. Also shows more of her vibrato here in addition to the heavy growling with attitude that makes this sound like an original jazz classic from the 1940's/50's.

Dimash, Diana, and Angelina---Yes! What a trio of talent. But I assure you that no one has the versatility of Angelina. She's sometimes called "the girl with a 1000 voices" (hyperbole). She is the most creative, versatile, incredible, singer I have ever encountered. She turned 14 in January, but she will WOW you at any age of her performances. Rusty's bio will bring you along on knowing about her personal life and professional career. If you decide to take the Angelina journey, starting at the beginning is a good idea. It's an after description. I was just commenting to myself how in this video alone, she did all kinds of different sounds with her voice. She is obviously someone who has explored and experimented a lot with her voice, even at such a young age she had a diverse array of choices and vocal colors.

She sings bare foot since she was 6 years old to honor a bare foot orphan he met girl around her own age around 6 years old whom had no shoes and had scars on her feet, she weighing people on a bathroom scale to support her and her siblings. Angelina at six years old took her shoes off and gave them to this poor girl, and Angelina has performed on stage in honor of the pledge she made to her not to sing on stage with shoes on form then on .
