- After a winter of epic rains in the Sierra Foothills of California, home of the original Gold Rush, the gold is flowing in the rivers and streams. We head out on an adventure with my brother - who has had a bit of luck in the past finding the colors. Enjoy the ride as we share what we find!

I was just out panning last Thursday on a trip to CO - pulled out some interesting tidbits but… wow! You guys retrieved some damn gold! Impressive. Thanks for sharing.

Embarrassed to say that I’ve lived a few miles from this place for half my life but have never tried panning before. I’ll have to give it a shot one of these days.

OMG.... there's two of you 🤦♂️
To anybody that has ever had to actually dig with a shovel (vehicle recovery or prospecting)......use a shovel with a STANDARD LENGTH HANDLE to save your back!! The shorty "overlanding" shovels look cool but are terrible to use in real world applications where you actually have to move a lot of material or reach way under your vehicle because it is high centered.
agreed, save on the overland tax and just hit your local hardware store and pickup a shovel.
