This is def gonna be my album of the year. You have a sound that I’ve been wanting to hear for years but no other band has been able to scratch that itch except you guys. Can’t wait till the album drops
100% agree with this. They’ve never produced a bad song… their aesthetic is phenomenal… they have amazing merch… and they’ve got all around talent. Rare to see a band like this. Hope they tour the US sometime soon. Cheers! 🥂
Damnnn. Greyhaven’s “This Bright & Beautiful World” is 100% taking the award for me and I don’t think could possibly be surpassed by any artist but this album may be a close 2nd for AOTY. Static can never do wrong. ❤️
Valid :) “A Painful and Necessary Action” and “The Quiet Shakes” were my favs off that record. Definitely in contention for AOTY, but I find Static Dress to be an easier listen so I’d probably choose SD.
@@thedarkcosmos4633 we have similar taste haha. Those two were in the top 3 of mine. Third on with them was Fed To The Lights. The whole thing was amazing though and I have mad respect for All Candy and Ornaments. And yeah they probably aren’t as easy to listen to because of their whole chaotic southern vibe

What i admire the most in static dress, is the fact that they have a unique sense of melody, heaviness, awesome lyrics and a beautiful construction of esthetic. This band turns everything they make, in a piece of pure art, and i'm totally sure this album is gonna be insanely good. Greetings from Brazil.

being listening to rock/metal/alternative whatever you want to call it for most of my life, but i've never found a band myself that is just starting out. People follow massive bands and were there from the start but i seem to always jump on late. even though i feel apart of their 'family' and fanbase, i've just never witnessed it. And in my top 10 or 15 favourite bands ever, most of them are 'old', with the newest ones being formed in 2004. so here's to Static Dress, i've been here since the release of sweet. so now i know i won't miss out on the hype of being here since the start. i wont lose.

Same dude. Always been a bit bummed to have missed out on the come ups of bands I love like like Slipknot and Deftones (a lot of that being due to being born in 1996). I was even a bit late getting into Loathe, jumping on right as they began to roll out singles for ILIIAITE. But it’s definitely sick to be here to watch these guys come as far as they have and see where they will go. Just smoked an Obi Joint myself and listened to this tune. Happy trails man.

DUDE!! Haven't related so much with a comment before, for real! If only I wasn't literally 5 or 6 years old when bands like Senses Fail, Underoath were blowing up big. I absolutely would've been apart of that scene live if I was in high school in 04, 05. So seeing SD bust this album out hits a huge soft spot for me, might be my AOTY too already.

Absolutely love the sound. I only recently discovered this song and now I'm listening to it on repeat. It's rare to find bands who have this sort of early 2000s sound without too much layering of vocals and autotune. The combo of cleans and screams is dreamy too. UGH could go on forever

Sappy post incoming. Clean dropped the day before a first date I went on back in 2019. I immediately fell in love with the song, and then shortly after, the girl. We’re getting married next month. Static Dress will forever be the soundtrack to the best decision I ever made.❤️
