Just showed up on my youtube feed....after Tomic lost in 39 minutes other day challenger. He has the motivation of a Walmart cashier..way to go Tomic..
What's interesting about a lot of his highlights is how much he is able to make his opponent run, while not having to run that much himself. He can put the ball anywhere while remaining in the centre of the baseline.
totally agree and yes tomic is young and inexperienced and playing one of the all time greats you should still be able to win the set 4-0 up and serving to go 5-0.
Tomic is a very talented player, but I think his talent has been stunted by remaining with his Father as coach. Not to mention the very destructive relationship that obviously exists. He needs to move on to a new coach with a new direction while he is still in his prime.
@steven7846 I know!!! I mean the way he hit the forehand is completely different nowadays, it is not weird like you said, it is just a completely simple take back, he hits though the ball a lot more, if you see the highlights made by Rsosa92 of him playing against djokovic in Wimby last year, he hits the ball so flat that the ball rarely bounce higher than djokovic's knee
funny you should mention the slice. against rafa- most players better hope that their slice is not returned by his forehand. his forehand is a killer most of the time against most opponent's slices. either outright win the point or puts opponents in trouble. dolgopolov is unpredictable but at least he is hell of a lot more athletic. most multi slam winners are extraordinarily athletic and tomic doesn't really scream that. when he does a split and slam dunk, then i reconsider.
@littletennisking If you campare a classic forehand to tomic's one, It seems he's only using his wrist for giving more power to the ball instead of using his arm and his body! Anyway, it's quite effective apparently, but not really academic!
The slice backhand can be used as an offensive shot if you put a decent amount of slice on it. I use the slice backhand as a defensive and offensive shot.
I feel that tomic has to learn especially on the 2nd set when his playing against the top players even when the top players they are down they starts to give up and gives u the set... Remember it's a 5sets match its a strategy to conserve energy for more sets enquire... He has to take his opportunities when he has it especially against a fighter like nadal
@Fernandez218 ya you are right on the mark there, his slice on slice techniques did not work against federer and nadal, but you know who it worked well against? DOLGOPOLOV, god I hate when he beat dolgopolov, as i felt dogolpolov would have given Federer a tougher match
Tomic should find a better coach and learn how to hit the ball earlier and heavier. Given his height and talent, he should be a better player than Del potro.
The days where Tomic still cared about tennis....

@@C_AVATAR yep and he also lost in 28 mins once on the main tour.
Man such a shame Tomic didn’t fulfil his potential. Had top natural talent of all time

he's forehand technique is the one and only in tennis. Effortless power and effective counterpunching. Goat is no joke🐐
nadal is the definition of controlled aggression

Lord Tomic the GOAT's glory days. May they return.
First time I've seen Tomic run on a tennis court
😂🤣
Nadal didn't give up the 2nd set from 0-4 down....
No Problem xXHotSpotXx, I am the one who should thank you for your amazing highlights
Back when nadal had the 135 mph serve
half the video is slow motion replays of Nadal's forehands......
what a talent.. that forehand slap. gosh...

did you see what he did at Wimbledon
Welcome to 2021 , he is finished now

@gundamova Hey no problem man, glad you like it :)

nadal is absolutely drenched in sweat
@Fernandez218 ya you are right on the mark there, his slice on slice techniques did not work against federer and nadal, but you know who it worked well against? DOLGOPOLOV, god I hate when he beat dolgopolov, as i felt dogolpolov would have given Federer a tougher match
Bernard Tomić is very talented
Where is Tomic now?
i liked and subscribed but i didn't comment :)
Lmfao
Do you know about anywhere I can find the match against Cilic?
Nadal vs cilic uploaded by rare tennis
I feel that topic
Is Nadal wearing a latex top?
He was excessively sweating because he had a virus still
Anyone able to tell me the American guy commentating?
There's only 3 American tennis announcers still working for ESPN so it has to be either Dick Enberg, Bud Collins, or Sam Gore. Not sure which, sorry.
Not sure what Matt is talking about...but that is Patrick McEnroe you hear commentating. He is one of my favorites.
Patrick McEnroe, John McEnroe's brother. The Australian commentator is Darren Cahill.
i agree
6:38. Nadal had to think to himself O.O
cant beleive tomic just let nadal come back like that in the second set
I feel that to if
I would love to see this match with Tomic taking the 2nd set 6-1. But no, Tomic failed and Nadal did a great job to fight back.
hahaha perfectly said :)
Tomic...the kind of dude that believed his own hype.
Tomic should find a better coach and learn how to hit the ball earlier and heavier. Given his height and talent, he should be a better player than Del potro.
what? that would be a totally different game style and mindset for tomic, he couldn't do it soon.
Tomic's forehnd so weird ahah! It's not even a forehand! how can it be in!
This was Fludal
Tomic just lost on lazy and awful footwork
Another Australian talent wasted because of his attitude
