12:40 I agree with you Mark, Filipina looks for a man who can give her a stable life just like all women. My aunt married an Irish man and they've been together for over 30 years and I see how he treated her so lovingly and made her very happy.
Interesting interview. I've watched Kevin's videos too and suspected he was from Houston. I took my wife out to eat last weekend. We each got a jumbo baked potato stuffed with BBQ and all trimmings, a side of mac and bottle of beer and the bill was $47.31 before tip. Food prices have skyrocketed here. Medical cost after retiring could potentially wipe out all your savings so that is one of my reasons for looking to PH for my retirement.
Me and my husband ( american)put up our business in my name but he is the one managing it. Construction products. I registered it as uncle sam's concrete products and it is 6 years now.
This guy's is another great addition to our country. He is a very well-rounded, nice guy who has a lot to offer, especially if he chooses to have a Filipina wife. I myself have lived in the USA for over 40 years and decided to retire in my own, not perfect, but less stressful country.
Lol! When I worked in the trades, I would go “booming”. Basically van life, only earning a good union wage, with retirement benefits, and a nice R.V., or motel! American women don’t realize that the welder, in his truck, that just passed her on the highway, may be making $70.00 per hour, plus benefits, and that kid, his helper, in the passenger seat is knocking down 30 bucks an hour, plus benefits!

Great interview with Kevin. I've considered traveling around the USA in an RV visiting the National Parks but over the past 2 years have reconsidered and plan to move to the Philippines in 2024 (after a 3 month visit to check it out). I've also subscribed to Kevin's channel and enjoyed his investment videos which is something I'm starting to get into (Options Trading) and plan to continue with when I'm retired in the Philippines.
Loved the "won her in a poker game" joke lol. Marriage fell apart and now he's traded up. I bet his ex flipped out he got such a younger woman. Her loss I'm sure.
Im flying into Cebu next week from LAX for $735 on STARLUX airlines. 18-hour flight with 1.5-hour layover in Taiwan, which is where the airlines is from. They are a newer company of 2020 but have an excellent rating. I bought a throw away ticket for $50 from Manila to Singapore.
My wife is from the Philippines. After two divorces, I decided to do some research which was much easier, due to the advent of the internet and social media. Specifically,I wanted to know which guys were / are the happiest in marriage and all roads led to the Philippines. As far as the age difference, I had not planned on a 24 yr gap, but after 'video dating' with many different women in the Phil, of all ages, it was one in particular where everything was right. Nobody was beating down my door to make me happy and in fact, the western women I did date later on after the last divorce, were always 'difficult' (not easy going) in some way or another. I decided age was not a problem. I've been ridiculed some by strangers (women my age) here in the states but really, who cares if your happy and content. My wife wants a sense of financial security which I expect and am happy to give her. Throughout history and in most cultures, women want security from their companion. We help her immediate family in the Philippines. In fact, it makes me happy that I am able to lend support.
I certainly wouldn't listen to older western women. They are insanely jealous lol! I was the same as you not looking for a large age gap. Was talking to multiple Filipinas at once at the time which were close to my age. It was boring like a job interview. The Filipina who would eventually be my wife messaged me and I originally told her we could be friends because I couldn't imagine making that age gap of 20 years work long term, but man she looked amazing. We kept messaging and she was always fun to talk to - always teasing me or something. She was the only one I was having fun with, so I decided to just go for it. Been married almost 9 years now and glad I didn't listen to all of the naysayers. It's worked out great. I actually look younger now 9 years later than I did when I met her and was stressed out from being in relationship with western women. Good luck!

(Investopedia) Note, the federal tax form will still ask if you have insurance. Regardless of your answer there is no longer a federal penalty for not having it. But! For state requirement you should check your state's requirements. Hospital costs in Thailand can be ridiculously expensive too, albeit not as insane as the US. There is a triple tiered pricing system in hospitals in Thailand.
