Hey bro amazing video, I really appreciate that you are both in depth but also simplify enough for the average guy to tackle this job I bought a g35 and I'm slowly restoring all the parts and pieces and every one of your videos not only helped me tackle the jobs but given me a greater understanding of how the car operates. Keep going bro love the videos
Thanks for this video! I've got an '06 6MT coupe and this preventative maintenance stuff is something I'd like to take care of as my car gets on in years.
Tire balances are usually 60-65mph. Not to mention that most places just balance and dont road force test the tire/ wheel combo or they just slap weights on and dont take the time to move the tire around if the balance is super high on one side vs the other. All rotating objects will have harmonic shakes at some RPM or another, and with the the tires being the usual primary culprit of this (especially at speed) I am willing to bet that getting them road force tested/ balanced will yield a better result for you, especially at higher speeds.
Maybe if they’re roadforced, but it’s been an issue with multiple sets of wheels/tire combos. I’m not entirely as to how big of a difference it’ll make to roadforce them but will definitely give it a shot!
@@JoeVazquez Wheels can be VERY finicky with how they balance, you can check how many weights you have on either side ( or if they center ballanced them). IF you notice something CRAZY like 1.75 and .50 on opposing sides, that can yield a rather large vibration once that wheel/tire spins faster than what the machine balanced it for. You also might have weights missing as depending on how they cleaned the surface of the wheel the glue can come right off as you drive throwing your balance off. Good luck man!
Thanks man! I use to use the hunter machines at an old job and I do recall some crazy times where the wheel needed something ridiculous, typically it would be a bent wheel or an out of round wheel aswell!
@@JoeVazquez yep exactly. Even on new wheels and tires I would find that they still require some wheel adjustments or added weights to get them running well.
I know you just sold the g37 but i have a g37x coupe and “sometimes” when I’m driving and turn the car left or right the car lags and seem like I’m losing power what you think it could be thanks.🙏🏽
Yeah my G35 sedan has a rear main seal leak as well, and it's been getting worse every year. Last year, it would leave like 1-2 drops of oil on the driveway, and this year, it leaves 3-4 drops. It doesn't help that my driveway is angled slightly upwards, b/c when my car cools down, all the oil flows to the bottom and back of the engine where the rear main seal is. Eventually, I'm gonna have a shop drop the transmission and replace both the rear main and front main seals.
@@JoeVazquez I've done about 7 of them now with motor in and it's not too bad. Drop subframe and transmission to get to it, disconnect rack and lower arms to free it all up. Do it the proper way if you can, which is upper and lower oil pan removal. Make sure to replace front upper oil pan seal and upper oil pan orings while you're there!!
First! 😊
You’re the best Seth!

What size spacers you running, front back?
25mm all around!
I have an oil leak from that area . What can it be . The oil looks like it’s coming from the blue thing
Power steering fluid
Did it come with new bolt or you reused your old one ????
Comes with new hardware I believe!
is the universal joint easy to put on plug and play? or it needs to be aligned properly?
Aligned properly foresure!
@@JoeVazquez thanks, dam igot this done n my steering wheel is abit tilted now iforgot to tie the steering wheel😂😅
Disconnect, and readjust haha you got this man!
@@JoeVazquez thanks bro i shall try again lmao, this time ill make the steering wheel straight and tie it
Mine had a steering wheel vibration and ended up being the outer tie rod and wheel bearing.
Been contemplating on just pulling the trigger on wheel bearings! I’ve replaced literally everything else besides those and steering rack
@Joe Vazquez it's a common problem, I've replaced 2 myself and prior owner has replaced 1.
Rear main seal leak?
Definitely haha 😂

Yeah, I’m waiting for a clutch kit and I’m going to tackle the rear main!!

Miss the g37😢
I miss you 😢
@@JoeVazquez new video coming out soon👀
You’re the best 🥺
Check the balance on your wheels.
Probably threw off some weight.
Not wheels, used my balanced set and same outcome :(
My wheels dont even turn anymore
My steering and suspension is horrible
You will notice an insane difference when you start restoring the suspension, you can start with the front and later do the back!
@@JoeVazquez my car is swinging and bouncing and I can't keep straight. Rack is broken ,shocks are busted. Like its bad
❤

$100 from Nissan 😂 $248 from Infiniti
Really not dat easy if its really rusty I did mine today & took me 4 hours 😡!
Depends on where you live and how bad your cars get rusted, thankfully Cali doesn’t really have that issue
How did you end up getting out? Having the same problem
but what if I want to lose my steering, what if I want it to try🥱😈
