- Finally got a swordfish video for you guys! After 3 failed attempts in the past, I finally got to see my first broadbill swordfish in person. We went out of Hillsboro inlet and dropped with electric reels for daytime swordfish. Swordfish are down deep during the day and come up at night to feed.

I think your videos are great love watching you do all that you do. That was a strange way to fish though. I guess if your a commercial fisherman it’s practical but for sport fishing I can’t see how it’s any fun at all.
100% agree that rod takes all the fun out of it.
Another great video. I watch as much for your cooking as I do for the fishing.
Ahhh, the ancient battle of Machine Vs Fish, just as Hemingway wrote about.
Amazing job on that swordfish looks delicious 😋😋 awesome video 👍👍💯🇹🇹🇹🇹
I’ve actually been subscribed to your channel for awhile and I really enjoy your content and definitely the meals at the end.
Awesome video, you're absolutely right about the amount of swordfish in the area I went out last week Wednesday and within 20 minutes we got a bite on our first drift and then on our third drift within 2 hours of fishing we had 100 lb swordfish on the boat
I also heard several times that Swordfish doesn't freezes well/looses most of it's flavour when frozen. I only had it frozen and it wasn't a great fish, even though I always impress people with my fish- cookin' skills! But I definitely wanna try a fresh piece of swordfish some day
That looked really good! Great video!
Saw the Instagram post and couldn't wait for the video!
Holy cow that range you cooked on is huge! Looks like a high end Viking. Nice video and great cooking recipe.
This guy drops BANGERS
You always cook up a storm. Looks amazing!
Bro I just took your recipe and it’s to die for homie!!!! 🙌🏽 swordfish is where it’s at
Great catch!!!
Haven’t watched this video yet but I know this will be a banger!
Watching from Australia 🇦🇺
Those swordfish steaks!! *salivating*
Awesome video as usual Victor, you guys are awesome!...still waiting for your restaurant opening brother. You know you can pull it off! : )
Holy buckets did that look good!
gr8 work on slaying the sword haha
All you guys have beautiful homes. Jeeze. I would love to have a kitchen to cook in like that. Life goals
Amazing content
No gnocchi left behind 😂
Yheeeeeh, eyeball poke and eat! Rite on mane! Tight lines from Gulf Shores still!
Congratulations!
very nice hunt
There’s no sport in this lol still cool tho
Yeah kind of a let down
Once you hand crank a few fish out of 250ft of water, the electric reels make perfect sense in 1200+ft.
@@donthornthatfish2444 250 aint shit, ive dropped to bottom down to 600ft without a 2 speed just for some rockfish. 2000 feet is a lot but they make reels you can take the motor off of to fight manually
Hey from australia!
Thank you for the Dexter discount. I bought a couple knives and they are legit.
Asher’s my best friend and lives right across the street!!!
Well done pushing a button.
Next time trust me try it with the skin it is amazing my favorite part… great video btw👍👍👍
Nice 👍 and amazing video
Making as Capricorn proud from london here
Good fish.
Very nice presentation
its my dream if i can do this once 😮💨 ive watched almost all your videos ...your so lucky ... by hte way i am from india meghalaya
Awesome video Victor, keep doing what you do Bro, love your channel
Awesome
Already super deep fishing gonna try targeting escolar
That be some awesome sushi
Literally me binging your channel: *new vid posted*
Me: fuck yes its the man
I ordered swordfish in a high-end restaurant once. Too solid and too dry. My husband traded me his meal and ate the swordfish. (What a wonderful man, huh?) I expect it would have been a very different experience if Viktor was the cook. Well, and if the fish was fresh. I live on the west coast of Canada, so I can't imagine the swordfish was freshly caught.
Is all deep sea sword fishing done with setups like this? By pressing a button on an electric reel and just having it haul it in? Very cool fish, but probably the lamest “fishing” I’ve seen on here
I agree 100%
It’s not lame that’s stinkin awesome … I do understand if you want to do it for the sport which you can do but reeling up 2000 feet ummm I’d rather let it pull it up
But agree to disagree
Yet again another amazing video that swordfish dish you made looks so good.
I wasn't hungry 20 minutes ago Vik, I don't have to say it! Great video, great content and an outstanding finished meal for new friends! Remain blessed and keep the video's coming 👍 💯 💥 ☝
sheeeeeesh
Epic sword guys. We still need to get ours on the 39 Seavee. Help a brotha out lol
I'm gonna get one of those then use it for mangrove snapper
Tus videos de pesca son increíbles, me encanta tu pesca, siempre pescas peces grandes.
Abrazo aquí desde Brasil!👍🎣🐠🥰
Grilled Swordfish would also be good.
Do a blue marlin catch and cook
That gnocchi needs some cabbage and eaten with cottage cheese. That's the way my ukranian grandma cooked it! Great video as always.
Sounds delicious 😃
That’s a thing? I can’t wrap my head around it but a gramma recipe is never to be questioned.
Brook and you need to open a restaurant very small but high dollar people would fight to get in
Just wished halfway through they fought that fish without the buttons
Brook must have showed you the side to side seasoning. It flows evenly.
😎👏👏
I regret to inform you that I can no longer allow my wife to see your videos. Thanks alot Victor and Brook. No, but seriously I'm getting better, keep em coming.
👍👍
So the coordinates tatted on Zach were from 2770 VT-105, Charleston, VT 05872? Interesting... guess that's his childhood home?
Try using less drag, anything more than 20lbs on that fish will pull the hook out.
Idk about those machines. Where’s the fun and excitement with actually holding the rod and fighting it yourself
What would you do if it was 45 inches
Hi
But how you come up with these recipes? Plz let me know GOAT bc you mainly cook healthy and my wife would it
the electric reel doesnt do it for me
First like
Baby sword
Wowwww....that is a tiny sword...😭😭😭😭😭😡😡😡😡
In Venice they tape a coat hanger to a 1” x 12” piece of rebar and hang it off the hook in addition to the line weight. When it hits bottom the rebar falls of and you’re sword fishing. Don’t have to troll. Also they say electric reels are for pussies lmao 🤣 we had to hand reel in 1000 feet with no fish twice before we landed one. It was exhausting so I don’t blame you too much.
Gonna be honest here vik. Probably the only time i havent enjoyed a video. Electronic reel thingy was just not very entertaining. Cant wait for some more buck tail jig action. Tight lines.
In fact - DON'T OVERCOOK ANY FISH!
Fishing really special in the sense of qge being of literally no concern for it. Of course, most of the older folks will most likely not make miles on the shore but that's not the point. I'm 25 and some of the people I ennjoy to fish with the most are in their 60s.
👍👌👏👏👏
Fantastic fishing! Reminds me of my best hunting experience ever. African buffalo. The drone saw it about 3 miles away and I told the guide: " Sorry, to far." Then they they actually brought in a helicopter and took me to within 50 yrs from the animal. Easy after that. What a wonderful hunt!
Frankly - that type of fishing is totally unsporting and I am disappointed in you. Yes, 2000 ft is deep, but in the old days the guys also caught their fish. They had to work hard for it, but I am sure they experienced much more satisfaction than the guys who merely push a button on a small winch. Today I am an old(ish) man, but when I was younger, we used to say - that is what separates the men from the sissies.
Oh - how I would love to see a real angler catching a swordfish in a sporting way!
So instead of stalking the animal, you used a drone and a helicopter to get close enough to shoot an African buffalo. And that is different from pushing a button on a winch how? Did you eat the buffalo?
@@lschoenrank Of course I did not do it! I am just trying to say what fish winching is - totally unsporting. My hunting was always walk & stalk. And I did eat everything I shot. And I never hunted buffalo, more being a springbuck, kudu or eland hunter - for meat. Kind regards.
@@henniebasson515 Ah, I see. You were making a point that completely went over my head. My apologies.
love your channel but why keep a Baby Swordfish ? It s a sad day if thats considered a keeper
So small just a baby capt nick stanz just tag and release these fish let it grow for the future generations this was more bone than fish
Idk about those machines. There’s no fight or excitement. It doesn’t even feel like you earned the fish. Idk that’s just my opinion.
Paid actors
Asher was my cousin
Go out and try to catch as many species as you can in one day make a cool vid let us watch
16th
You all gaff fish without being sure it’s of legal size?
1st
You should do a video about safety on board, lifejackets.
Dude what is that machine that’s not even fishing I like most videos but this just wasn’t it seemed like some commercial fishing or something. Seems pretty easy to hit a button to reel it in vs actually doing it yourself
Lol that wasn’t a battle at all…
The girls are legit dead in the background I feel bad they must be hungover and hungover on a boat is the worst Poor Brooke and friends
That's like shooting fish in a barrel. Electric reel, no man on fish fight, might as well just play a video game. Bro, that is NOT fishing. SMH.
IMHO using electric reels for 'sport fishing' is cheating; for commercial fishing I can understand it. Where is the sense of achievement in pulling a fish up on a winch ? And then you all stand around congratulating each other. I'd rather stick to the old way, luck and muscles. This is the only fishing video of yours that I don't like.
Remember Nick stanczyk is the best. S. fish
Yeah not a fan of this kind of fishing. No fight, just push a button? Whack. Get this outta here
Yea this is not fishing. Boring.
I have to admit that I am VERY DISAPPOINTED to see you use electric reels as opposed to true fishing. There is no sport in this manner of fishing. Tsk, tsk.
It said battle in the title but all I saw was a fish being dragged up by a motor you turn on with a button. Where's the battle? Didn't even see a reel get cranked, just people pushing buttons. I'll go to work if I wanna watch people push buttons man
