Finally, someone with the same type of autism as me, looking at minute and insignificant details of maps and yapping about it to people who don’t wanna hear it
Yessss, I fucking love discussing the most unimportant parts of the game like little design tidbits, animations, lore and all that (although I've been lacking in lore ever since season 7-8)
Apex has always had fantastic environmental storytelling. There's the big grandiose events like parts of Kings Canyon getting blown up and the aftermath but there's so many more subtle details as well. Like in Cryptos's Map Room you can find the Korean flag or how in Bloodhound's area you can interact with some of the trophies in there and BH has unique dialogue for each of them. Much of this is probably lost on most of the player base.
All the little vending machines and kiosks on E-district are so fun to look at haha. So much detail in them to, not just a flat 2d jpeg image of some off brand Doritos hahah 😂
Back in season 5, there was a map somewhere that showed that KC is littered with underground facilities. Most notably under the dam and surrounding, and yes, even the Interstellar Relay. I’d also like to add that the reason there’s a lot of houses that look alike and why they use the same type of chemical in military bases and normal houses is that everything in this universe is made en masse. Exact copies because there’s a LOT of humans to provide to
This was so good to watch. Being able to slow down and appreciate the stories told by the placement of assets is such a cool detail by respawns map designers
Dude, I've been exploring each map every time they release a new one, it's so much fun, and I find myself wishing I could just stop the ring and just chill and explore sometimes! Great video, I'd love to see you do the other maps
I've done the level map design present in this game such a great disservice by not bothering to notice all the things you went out of your way to point out. Thank you.
If you consider all now buried facilities on kings canyon, this map has as much beneath it as above. Labs is just a small part but the left room has a caved in door, the right room, the barricaded one also has a caved in door and a inaccessible part with another doorway leading somewhere else. The portal room connects to a tunnel that’s half caved in connecting to the capacitor facility where the charge towers were stored underground which is what provided power (somehow in kings canyon. We can imagine this tunnel ran through the capacitor facility and maybe to the caved in tunnel in artillery. Apart from the we have the massive Revenant facility that loba mentioned is almost identical to the one we saw in the s18 single player mission on salvo. Apart from that you have the small bunkers introduced in season 5, one near skull town, bridges, two spines and slum lakes, all with charge towers and multiple caved in doorways leading to other buried areas. The last one was in the season 5 story mission, at the end of slum lakes was a entrance that lead to the Forgotten Tomb, similar to the other bunkers, this one was much more over grown and overflowing and held ashes body. The entrance is far from where ash’s body was held, back then I tried to trace the path underground from the surface and it led somewhere in the direction of the entrance to the pit, or was directly under it. Until they get those on r5 released, I guess we’ll never know. Apart from that there probably much more that’s all buried and lost to time and the actions of loba, crypto and Maggie.
By the way, the sign behind revenant at 4:00 says 付け狙う, which is like to prowl or stalk (it's Japanese). It makes no sense. Probably they couldn't read it, but just thought it looked cool.
When there's a little time to spare in a match, I tend to look at all the small things at the map E-District especially got a lot of those details with all those ads and lore in the form of the government "this is not a drill" warning Honestly quite interesting how these kind of things exist at all in a fast-paced game Edit: cant forget about E-District Tintanballin posters and other references
In titanfall IMC used so called „gas” they they mined on fracture I think it was unspecified alien substance so you can sleep well with that knowledge.
Could be something akin to a scifi secondary fuel for titan batteries or could be munition for specific energy weapon I mean titans vary and titanfall 1 and 2 have vastly different titans that run on vastly different fuel
Hi so I asked chatgpt expecting an answer like: there’s no such thing but here are 5 things that could loosely mach up HOWEVER it said you are describing acetone Acetone can be used for cleaning fuel for specific things or in the synthsesis of materials (whatever that means) it can also be used for medical applications so what I think is going on: people get acetone as fuel for something like MRVNS since it’s easy to get in the future and very cost effective and is creating first aid medicine (also a future thing pretty sure your going to kill yourself if you try that now) Here’s Chats answer: Hi! 😄 It sounds like you’re describing acetone. Acetone fits most of these criteria: Oxidizer: While not an oxidizer itself, acetone is a volatile solvent and can be involved in reactions where oxidizers are present. Very Flammable: Acetone is highly flammable with a flash point of around −20°C (−4°F). Minor Health Risks: It can pose health risks like irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory system but isn’t considered highly toxic. Moderate Flash Point: As mentioned, its flash point is quite low, making it very flammable. Very Reactive When Handled Incorrectly: Acetone can form explosive peroxides over time if not stored properly and can react dangerously with strong oxidizers.
I need a series of this with every map please pretty please
Olympus especially
Finally, someone with the same type of autism as me, looking at minute and insignificant details of maps and yapping about it to people who don’t wanna hear it
I agreee His flavor of autism suits me well.
This is the side of the apex community i want to stay on
I’m not even autistic and I always do this shit myself 😍
Yessss, I fucking love discussing the most unimportant parts of the game like little design tidbits, animations, lore and all that (although I've been lacking in lore ever since season 7-8)
I did this on Valorant too

Was not ready for that bittersweet ending. Honestly it's kinda amazing to think about how many games we'll be the last generation to remember.
So many good memories playing this original map layout with friends when the game first came out back in 2019. It was so fresh.
All the little vending machines and kiosks on E-district are so fun to look at haha. So much detail in them to, not just a flat 2d jpeg image of some off brand Doritos hahah 😂

This was such a cool video! I love Apex lore and I hope you make this a series for all of the other maps.
series is a must. good shit
every apex player should def watch this its totally worth it
Bro did not need to cook all this up for the little things, but I’m glad he did 👨🏼🍳
From one apex lore sucker to another, making this a series is a must
Please make this a series with every map. This is so cool
Before i watch this. EVERY TIME a new apex map comes in, the first days are just chill while having fun looking at the details
I adore this concept, and would love to see more maps covered in the future!
Would love to see more videos like this about the maps and the way they evolved, too. Great video
What a vid! I like to see more of this on other maps
That morrowind video was awesome. Huge morrowind fan. And the things you do for the Apex community is priceless!
I've done the level map design present in this game such a great disservice by not bothering to notice all the things you went out of your way to point out. Thank you.
Super well made video
After playing on low stretch res I can say this the first time I've seen these.

I would pay attention to these details, but I can’t because apex doesn’t have a fucking FREEROAM TRAINING MODE
I love videos like this
Had me tear up a little bit at the end ngl 21:37
The best 21 minutes with 53 seconds of my day, i loved every second of this video
I love this kind of video!!! Would be amazing to see it for every map!!!!!!! I don't even care about the size, let the videos be multiple hours!!!
I hate to add to the fire diamond thing but Olympus reuses the same signs..
Great video!
I loved this video. Hope you make more vidoes like this one. I love stupid details.
hell yeah now this is content
such a beautiful map , had a lot of fun when i first played it when it launched , loved titan fall , love respawn, fk ea
Glad to see any austin's weird way of analyzing games is inspiring others to be weird little guys
Now i wanna see any austin make a video about an apex map
This seems like one of those videos that would suddenly blow up in the algorithm.
The dead bodies on Olympus will always be the most shocking little map details to find
Hell yeah brother
martincitopants energy is strong with this one
0:01 EXCESSIVE!!
OMEGA STRIKERS MENTIONED RRRAAAAAHHHH
Loved this video hope to see more if you can
Underrated work
anyaustin type content. love it!
Hope you can make this kind of video for every map.
Very fascinating stuff and you should definitely check out worlds edge next!
Loved this keep it going
Please make this a series
Love your content, bro
It’s a gas that we have not discovered yet that is way more energy efficient than oil.
mom said i get to choose the movie tonight!!!!!
make this a series
I love this new genre of youtube
Lo ki think it be cool asf if Respawn had like a "war event" and the big chad guns on KC in artillery we're firing at aircraft in the sky
great video bro 💪🏾
Love the valorant music in background :D
What if it was some kind of air purifier? Or decontamination agent? Would make sense being in so many places considering the environment
15:01 Bro, the same fuel that powers ships probably powers the cars too. Those buildings in general are probably gas stations.
Would love to see you look at the other maps!
i wonder if the desert didnt used to be so dry before the lake was drained
Obviously thale gas is some sort of fancy future chemical we havent invented yet.
Cool content... love it!
This acutally interesting, atleast for me, please add the underground bunker near watertreatment and the cage if you gonna make another video
By the way, the sign behind revenant at 4:00 says 付け狙う, which is like to prowl or stalk (it's Japanese). It makes no sense. Probably they couldn't read it, but just thought it looked cool.

i want more.
The chemical oxidizer with the NFPA 1-2-3 is Copium. Hope this helps!
moar!
Are you gonna post any highlights from blgs? Would be cool to see from a content creator perspective over pros
You should do a high is the best building to fight in from f tier to s tier
Good video
Could be something akin to a scifi secondary fuel for titan batteries or could be munition for specific energy weapon
I mean titans vary and titanfall 1 and 2 have vastly different titans that run on vastly different fuel
We need other maps as well
3:50 Portal reference
I NEED MORE ABOUT MAP STORY AND CONTEXT
And you should talk about the chain reactions of certain map changes and such
How did you get into free camera :0
Is this a modded client?
I would LOVE to see this for the rest of the maps!
hm yes, My Chemical Bastard
5:28 didn’t the loan story mode do things in the tunnel in season 5?
Loba*
Cooked
worlds edge next :gun:
In the story of Apex they do live in the year 2735, so it's totally possible that they found/created a new kind of gas type fuel right? lol
Chat gpt says the oxidizer might be potassium nitrate
We need worlds edge AKA the best map
Wow, that was really uninteresting, thanks?
You’re welcome.
