These recent changes are excellent, it seems that Mojang is working towards streamlining the process for modding the game and adding custom stuff. Awesome!
@@kyarumomochi5146 Mate they've been releasing this kind of changes for some years, the years prior they were just adding content, then realised a better approach.
I'm afraid that all of this in-game modding enabling is setting up for a Java version of the marketplace. Just think of it, when you buy Minecraft Java Edition, you won't have to pay Mojang again (I don't think Realms sales are worth mentioning here honestly, because most Java player use 3rd-party hostings) unlike bedrock, which has this massive marketplace for mods, resource packs, worlds. It doesn't make sense that the Java Edition gets same quality updates as Bedrock (Which I think generates more money for the company). Now some might say that they could be focusing on enabling in-game mods for Java so they can stop supporting Java Edition in the future, but I don't think Mojang will do it because of the backlash they will get from the community. By the way, I know that games were all one-time purchases and in-game purchases are new and wrong, but in-game purchases seems like a must for all new games for them to support new updates even when they are already paid games and not free, which I think is what Microsoft is aiming for Minecraft.
I find it funny how people complain about "Not enought stuff being added on the latest update", but we did get a ton of cool commands and diferent stuff, but noone talks about this short of stuff, the latest updates really increase map making ratther than the survival experience, and I love thah
Not only that, but after calculating the content we have received during all this year, we got even more features than the nether update itself in just this year alone.
