snufkin is probably the character i relate to the most in moomin. i want a peaceful and quiet life and a place to explore and just hang out with my friends. i need a lot of time alone to recharge and can get irritable with others sometimes, but im usually calm (except for when im in a giggly bitch mood lol). i also think itd be cool to play the guitar or harmonica since i like music a lot. snufkin is my personal favourite honestly.

I wish I lived in moomin valley and just lived a carefree life without needing a job and it was (mostly) filled with kind creatures and nature.

Beauty in our natural world is often overlooked, but it's easy to find beauty everywhere you go. Looking at this picture for too long makes me cry, the vivid colours and endless landscape paint a picture (quite literally) of a perfect world. But that perfect world wouldn't look the way it does if not for the perfect world we live in now. It's based off the world we live in. So I'm going to chase the feeling of peace and joy as much as possible

i always feel really safe, warm and cozy when i listen to this song, snufkin will always be one of my favorite characters in the moomins (as well as one of my fictional crushes [iknowabouttheoriginsbehindsnufkin'scharacterbutlookmanletmedreamhere]) simply because of his easy going, philosophical, calming nature. and a sort of friend you just wanted to have. Edit: 2 years.. a lot happened, stuff changed.. but I always come back here to listen to this whenever I feel sentimental.. god listening to it again just makes me smile. Reminds me of the time where it's simple.. I have times where I do feel hopelessness and trapped from responsibilities now that I'm almost an adult stress always gets to me, and there are times where I broke down. not sure if it's the pressure or if it's the negative thoughts invading my mind. When I was feeling sick last week, for some reason I wanted to revisit Moomins. And I came across this video again, clicked on it now after 2 years, I felt... safe, calm, more importantly... happy. listening to it last week made me remember not just Moomins but, Snufkin in general. Just proves how much this character really means to me after years. The melody in the beginning is from the Moomin soundtrack, so it is moomin music. However, I haven't yet found it anywhere but this track. And yes, it is very reminiscent of hymnal music now that you mention it.
Mumin was definitely one of the best cartoons of its time, everyone (in all ages) that saw it just seemed to enjoy it. And Snusmumriken was my fav as well

It is super easy. I got an harmonica for my birthday two years ago, and this was the first melody i learned to play. Took me less than a month to learn, but i still cant play it perfect. I can get you the instructions online if you wish.
