I came across your video looking for the easiest method to replace a heater coil and now maybe just a hose. Did not know you could do a bypass a heater coil, my Venture 2003 just started leaking antifreeze in the back of the engine by the firewall, my engine seems like it will be impossible to get to that hose much less the heater coil itself; it is a FULL size van, I live in southwest Ohio and it and I will not survive the winter without heat. LOL Thanks your video was interesting and informative as well as providing an alternative to a smoky engine and losing antifreeze; maybe I could plug a small heater in the cigarette lighter or get one of the kinetic 'springy' things that 'supposedly' heats up a cold area in a short amount of time; would be nice if it could, but I do not know..........
I don't have to worry that much about winter really, Hurricanes now are another matter! It's hard to get at but it can be done. I have never seen any of them plug in heaters that work but like I said I don't have to bother with that much, I hope you get it squared away man and thanks for your reply.
Hi Vince, yea I don't like them anyway and I wasn't driving a hour round trip to buy a tool that I'm probably not gonna use again, you night see another video winter is coming and I want my heater.... lol Thanks for the comment! Keep watching!
Sounds like your drain is plugged, it's inside engine compartment firewall passengers side bottom. You can poke something soft in there like a drinking straw to unplug it.

$2 connector release tool from harbor freight worked great for me...but I prefer the old hose clamps.

If the fluid has a color it is probably your heater core.
What size hose was that
