Squarebody Dually, Installing Door Window Switch @DoubleTroubleGarage
The truck came without a window switch or working windows, I had to buy a window switch and plug and then try to figure out what wires went where.

    I came across your video looking for the easiest method to replace a heater coil and now maybe just a hose. Did not know you could do a bypass a heater coil, my Venture 2003 just started leaking antifreeze in the back of the engine by the firewall, my engine seems like it will be impossible to get to that hose much less the heater coil itself; it is a FULL size van, I live in southwest Ohio and it and I will not survive the winter without heat. LOL Thanks your video was interesting and informative as well as providing an alternative to a smoky engine and losing antifreeze; maybe I could plug a small heater in the cigarette lighter or get one of the kinetic 'springy' things that 'supposedly' heats up a cold area in a short amount of time; would be nice if it could, but I do not know..........

      I don't have to worry that much about winter really, Hurricanes now are another matter! It's hard to get at but it can be done. I have never seen any of them plug in heaters that work but like I said I don't have to bother with that much, I hope you get it squared away man and thanks for your reply.

    The resistor is there to absorb the hard amperage load when you hit your starter. Otherwise, that load goes into your points and puts premature wear on them.

    • @DoubleTroubleGarage
      @DoubleTroubleGarage 3 месяца назад

      @@jojoslime2575 you want to keep the steering wheel straight and stable, if it is able to move at all you could miss the sweet spot and have to keep going. The whole purpose of the keyed shaft is to keep everything clocked right so when you get it back in it will be correct by design. To keep the wheel straight you can use the seat belt, tape or a bunjie cord extra. Hope this helped DTG

    Question, what year is this town car… I’m literally struggling try to figure out my issue.. my town car is shifting rough, I had a misfire on #4 had oil in it.. changed the valve cover gasket, and spark plug, they a misfire on 6 showed up, but the coil pack was lose.. now number 8, but my check engine light isn’t on anymore and the code reader isn’t reading an error, but my car is still idling rough and shift rough… I did change out the throttle body today

    • @DoubleTroubleGarage
      @DoubleTroubleGarage 5 месяцев назад

      Mine is a 04, yea when the coil packs start going out you kinda Chace them for a while unless you just replace them all when the first one goes out. If you don't have a engine light then your miss could be a injector or possibly a bad fuel filter causing low fuel presure or even bad gas if it has been sitting for a while, I would buy some B12 injector cleaner at wallmart and maybe some dry gas treatment in case you got some water in the gas.

    I'm about to do this and hope that bearing doesn't come out of my steering column. I noticed the green bearing retainer was slipping out and it was damn near out 2 inches so I've decided to replace the lower and upper shafts. Got a good deal on the OEM parts on eBay. When I disconnect that top shaft pinch bolt, I'm going to hold that bearing in place some how. There is a recall for this exact thing but Ford told me they already inspected it in 2014 and it was fine. They should be forced to repair this on every single vehicle since you could lose complete steering control if that bearing were to get pulled out due to u-joints binding.

    • @DoubleTroubleGarage
      @DoubleTroubleGarage Год назад

      You are right, you don't want that coming out, why don't you put a pair of vice grips or a hose clamp on the shaft where it goes through the fire wall to keep the shaft in place while you work, just don't forget to remove them, haha DTG

      @DoubleTroubleGarage Год назад

      @@ismann9148 YES! Mine came out way too easy, it's a metal shaft held up by a plastic bearing that has been exposed to extreme heat for years, do what you can to hold it up in place.

      @ismann9148 Год назад

      @@DoubleTroubleGarage Thank you, Sir. I see once you got it back in there, it stayed pretty well. Is that plastic piece also keyed and only supposed to go in one way? Is that more permanent?

    • @DoubleTroubleGarage
