Hm...maybe the speed was too much so when the loop came up,the parts became broken because of the sudden change in direction? Science yal. I hate it unless its game theory.
lets go, they closed in 96. They were reopened in 98 and rebranded Mountain Creek Waterpark but that closed too in 2013 and they tried to re-rebrand as Action park a year or 3 back but it failed
She hit like four things... fisrt she drove way up into some bushes, then she just hit a curb, then she hit some rabber lane divider things knocking the side mirror off, then she hit another curb. She almost swerved into more bushes...
Well narrated Hellbent. I already refuse to go to water parks, what with all the things you can catch there. You've just given me more reason to stay off them. And coasters. You know, you could do a "Most Dangerous Rides in 2017" given how many deaths and injuries there have been this year...
In Park City, Utah there was an alpine slide that I loved as a kid. (I don't know if it's still there or not). It was really awesome, except when you were hit from behind or jumped the track... 10/10 would ride again.
I was on the alpine slide at Action Park (Know as Traction Park locally). You didn't get off of that ride without blood coming from somewhere (usually road rash or skinned knuckles). There was other rides there that were just as if not more dangerous. That place was like a crash dummy test site that people paid to be a part of.
I think the most scariest ride, IN MY OPINION, is any version of a Pirate Ship that swings back and forth until you're staring at the ground and can feel yourself sliding forward in the seats and imagining you're going to die because the restraints feel so loose you'll fall out
I used to live near Vernon, NJ where Action Park was and I rode every single one of the Action Park rides mentioned in this video there when I was a kid. Ignorance was bliss. I wouldn't go near that place if it was still open today.
I rode the Alpine Slide in Action Park and survived, and it was fun! Also, it was sometimes called Ambulance Park by the locals due to the many ambulances there for the countless injuries. Still, the Tennis Ball tanks were winsauce!!
I rode every ride at Action Park mentioned in this video! But the loop water slide was brutal and very painful to ride, but I still did it a few times. I liked all of the rides mentioned and didn't feel unsafe or anything else.
I remember the son of beast. I will still scared of loops in roller coasters by the time the loop was taken out. I haven't been to Kings island in years, so I never knew it was dismantled.
remember going on the alpine slide as a kid. as fearless as kids are, I kept trying to gain enough speed to fly out of the tracks. which was a lot easier than it should've been lmao. didn't get hurt tho, and the breaks worked fine.
I lived just outside Cincinnati, OH in the early 2000's. I've been on Son of Beast when it still had its loop. The ride was an enormous disappointment. The line took over 2 hours to get to the ride and the ride simply went one way, looped then came back and looped a second time. Total ride time? 45 - 55 seconds. Tops. The Beast is about 2:10 of total ride time. WAY more worth it.
I was just on a alpine slide a month ago. Same concept. Took a ski lift to the top of the hill and took the sled on wheels down. The slide had a few rough turns. Had signs posted to slow down around them otherwise you may fly off the slide. It had 2 lanes. One for fast riders and the other for the slower riders like little kids. Although you were required to sign a contract saying if you got hurt it wasnt the companys fault before being given your ticket.
My father worked at Action Park as a teen, in between the Kayak Electrocution and one of the Wave Pool Drownings. He calls the former incident "The Fryak"....
I went on the alpine slide years ago.I fell off the side of the track tho onto the rocks and had to drag the cart back onto the track so I could meet my friends at the bottom. By the way this happened like, 3 times. I think I went on twice. I also clearly remember my friend mentioning that we couldn't ride in the rain because the breaks wouldn't work, they were made of a rug type fabric. There were wheels on the bottom and you had to pull up the lever in the middle to switch and go faster/slower or use the "breaks". I can't believe I didn't notice how ridiculously dangerous it was back then, but I was around 10 so I guess I wouldn't have? I'm in the North East so I don't know which state I was in. The north east looks pretty similar all over and is small, and I didn't pay any attention to where we were. I wouldn't be surprised if it was closed by now
Action park sounds like the real world equivalent of Atlantic Island park from The Park. You know, the horror game where you go around a haunted park and find out multiple workers and tourists were killed either by the rides or the guy in the mascot costume.
I remember action park in the 80s... rides over there we're pretty extreme. I remember one ride where they made you take off your rings and your earrings because the water slide was known to catch onto the jewelry, it would rip it off your body. Ouch!!
near mount rushmore (in south dakota) there's one of the slides. it's really fun. i think you need to take a chairlift, but i don't remember. also there's food and picnic tables so that's fun.
There's a rollercoaster at Alton Towers called the Smiler. I'm not sure if it's still up but it's had two crashes, one that caused two or three people to have their legs amputated and one person with a head injury (I think). Anyway, it's one of the fastest rollercoasters in England so... yeah.
The Action Park that was actually dangerous closed down a looong time ago. Like, in the 90's if I'm not mistaken. It became another much safer park with a different name for a while and just recently reopened as Action Park again, only this time much safer.
they have alpine slides on basically every ski mountain and they are really fucking fun, and usually the breaks work and they wait until the person is done before radioing to the person at the top to send another person down.
You mentioned action parks looping water slide as if even trying to have a water side that loops is impossible. However in Canada Ontario there is a large water park with two ride that do enclosed loops.
Well, how big is the loop in Canada's park? Look at the one in action park! Its barely taller then the woman in the photo! That small loop after a downhill slide is probably why those crash dummy's got disassembled.
This is some of the reasons why I do not ride fairway rides. Most are rusted in spots where inspectors could not possibly see and are a potential killer.
As someone who's ridden the son of the beast at kings island all I can say is if you go on it, brace your neck and head. It'll thrash you around like crazy and has caused multiple neck problems. Also keep your arms INSIDE when going through tunnels, 2 years ago a kid sliced his arm open when going through the tunnel causing the ride to be shut down all day
Mount Olympus in Wisconsin has two wave pools, one normal one, and one that has a 15 foot wave mash through everyone. Horrifying because they don't have any signs warning you, and it too late by the time you find out!
That have the alpine slide where I live at a ski resort, of course it is way more modified, but it is really fun, if you do fall off you only get maybe a cut or bruise
My mom used to work at Action Park. She used to work at the Grave Pool. She would get calls years after she quit by lawyers asking if she knew anything about the deaths.
Rode son of beast WITH the loop right after it opened. The reason they took the loop out was because the train had to be heavy in order to clear the loop, effectively putting a lot of stress on the ride, so they had to use lighter trains and hey couldn't make it over the loop, so the loop was removed.
#1 blue mountain ski resort in Ontario Canada has one of those, but it's on a track and has netting around it. Me an my brother wanted to go on it but didn't. Maybe next time.
I just want to know what the hell made the test dummies on the looped water slide become decapitated
Hm...maybe the speed was too much so when the loop came up,the parts became broken because of the sudden change in direction? Science yal. I hate it unless its game theory.
Dante64 I'm a theorist too
Rin Bun They went to fast and when they hit their heads they got knocked off.
And why the humans who rode it didn’t?
I heard that it's because full loops like that cause you to experience higher g-forces.
#1 The Fiery Fist O' Pain, Glove World
Christopher Carrizales dude
They should make a amusement park base off of glove world
Ive always wanted to try the food they had there
F K wouldnt everyone die on fist o' pain?
MentalDuck good point
Action Park seems like a peaceful and quite Park to visit
Yes...birds singing, flowers blooming, and some dead bodies flinging around, along with the sweet sweet sound of blood curdling screams. (sarcasm)

Xenon777 - Yeah. I wonder why they changed it?
Xenon777 I remember they probably changed it because they got more animators and it was a planet of them so they changed it to Planet dolan
Xenon777 I do! And FlipOmega5 I guess that makes sense
Yea this channel died since the others came
Xenon777 i remember
Let's all go to Action Park :D
Sure lemme just sign this will first
lets go, they closed in 96. They were reopened in 98 and rebranded Mountain Creek Waterpark but that closed too in 2013 and they tried to re-rebrand as Action park a year or 3 back but it failed

2:40 Over a blood vessel?
Plus, She CLAIMED?! Did she check first? 😠😬😂
Eh,at least it got closed before anybody else got injured.
The ride hurt a lot of people. My uncle and his gf had bad necks and backs that they went home
Ok I'm afraid of rides for a reason!
Minurva Saddler - Me too!

• Tensakuma "Tendro" Kadro XD why? Of all things why? XD
Hellbent's my favorite, his voice is cool, and I dig his narration style. I wanna hear more from him! =)
1# Every single ride that is high.

there's actually a ride in Massachusetts called the alpine slide at Jiminy Peak. It's really fun actually.
My dad was in action park for the last ride he said it was pretty fun
Was Action Park the one ran by teenagers who just didn't ducking care and got drunk and high while working?
R Rainwater Yeah. It still is.
1# Your mom driving you to school.
Pretty horrifying I suppose.
Going late
A Guy Who Like Memes
I WISH my mom still drive me to school. I have to take two buses now. *Thats* horrifying.
My grandma. On the way down the windy road from Lake arrowhead down the mountain. Never have I so expected to die.
She hit like four things... fisrt she drove way up into some bushes, then she just hit a curb, then she hit some rabber lane divider things knocking the side mirror off, then she hit another curb. She almost swerved into more bushes...
A Guy Who Like Memes My grandma driving is more horrifying.

1:23 WHAT?! 😨😱😰 That's terrible
Yea :(
I love the alpine slide! you've just got to be smart enough to operate your sled and follow the signage. great ride for natural selection😄
I would be so down to try the catapult and just hope I miss👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Karrigan Hollins i would ask "do you have a death wish" but its clear that you do...
Karrigan Hollins I'd be down to watch that 😂😂👌
Its a trebuchet, not a catapult
Just write a $100 million insurance for your wife and your make best friend before that

11. Tower Of Terror
The only creepy thing about it is the drops, they just scare the hell out of me.
That Rebel That Got Crushed by Darth Vader u dont like it? i luv it
That Rebel That Got Crushed by Darth Vader
That one was nothing and it's perfectly safe
I think the most scariest ride, IN MY OPINION, is any version of a Pirate Ship that swings back and forth until you're staring at the ground and can feel yourself sliding forward in the seats and imagining you're going to die because the restraints feel so loose you'll fall out

I used to live near Vernon, NJ where Action Park was and I rode every single one of the Action Park rides mentioned in this video there when I was a kid. Ignorance was bliss. I wouldn't go near that place if it was still open today.
In Universal Studios in Orlando there's a ride called The Mummy. It, too, has a detaching track, but it's indoors.
I rode the Alpine Slide in Action Park and survived, and it was fun! Also, it was sometimes called Ambulance Park by the locals due to the many ambulances there for the countless injuries. Still, the Tennis Ball tanks were winsauce!!

Agreed. XD
God, that Catapult ride looks so freaking horrifying!

I love how 4 out of the 10 were from Action Park. This just goes to show that nothing good comes from New Jersey
Skad Dive - OMG still laughing now. Well done
Yay!! HellBent's my favorite:3
I'm putting all these down in my bucket list.
I want to do all of those rides! Where is Action Park located?
Iron Sword GAMES New Jersey, but I'm pretty sure all the rides from there they mentioned in this are closed
My dad used to go to action park, and I heard the place was a living death trap. But he said it was super fun tho 😂
Hellbent is my favorite narrator

its so crazy to see a ride from a park you go to almost every weekend 🤔
I've actually been on the alpine slide several times. It's pretty fun.
To answer your question, Hellbent, none of them. I'd go on none of them...

Da heck you alive?!?!
This is the earliest I been to anything
I would do the "sun of the beast" looks fun as hell.
Mount Olympus in Wisconsin has two wave pools, one normal one, and one that has a 15 foot wave mash through everyone. Horrifying because they don't have any signs warning you, and it too late by the time you find out!
that alpine slide one sounds like it could be pretty fun if they supply helmets, shin guards, elbow guards and knee guards
Going to a carnival today!
wait why am I watching this then?
That have the alpine slide where I live at a ski resort, of course it is way more modified, but it is really fun, if you do fall off you only get maybe a cut or bruise
I'm listening to the wheels on the bus thx for the great music
6:05 I was on one and ripped open my left leg and arm, a year later I was on it again, nothing this time tho, ahh the memories!
My new favorite quote SOME MORE FUN FROM ACTION PARK
35/10 amazing videos as normal. keep up the amazing work :)
My mom used to work at Action Park. She used to work at the Grave Pool. She would get calls years after she quit by lawyers asking if she knew anything about the deaths.
Action park?
More like fraction park!
Get it... because bone fractions...I'll be leaving now
I want to free fall so I pick scad dive
My husband says he had ridden the son of beast 3 times twice before they removed the loop and once after. So I guess I would go with that.
I'd ride the detaching track ride, I like the concept and it looks fun!
One time, I was in our local amusement park's (small) wave pool, and at least 5 people were rescued in an hour.
The loop was not removed after the first year on Son of the Beast. It was still there when I rode it in 2005.
I wouldn't be willing to ride any of them...but have you guys seen Valley Fairs new swing ride? It looks super unsafe
i've actually done the alpine slide but not at action park. There is a resort in Maryland that has it but i can't remember the name of the place.
The freefall ride sounds awesome!!!!!
Rode son of beast WITH the loop right after it opened. The reason they took the loop out was because the train had to be heavy in order to clear the loop, effectively putting a lot of stress on the ride, so they had to use lighter trains and hey couldn't make it over the loop, so the loop was removed.
Is this why so many rollercoaster rides have a "Do not ride if pregnant" sign on them?
its bad for the baby.
6:12-6:21 Was this clip from Disney's movie "Cool Runnings"?
Joe Frew if that's the movie about the Jamaican bobsled team, then yes
Joe Frew yes well donee you totally deserve a medal
1:07 Bill Cipher is that you?
Nc Myrtle Beach there is this ride where it has 2 towers and seat is connected to them by cords and it SLINGS YOU UP AND DOWN AND IT LOOKS HORRIFYING
Hellbent sounds like my mom
I was at kings island when you made this
So scat dives is basically, the scene in that movie where someone says"aim for the bushes", they jumped off a building and died
#1 blue mountain ski resort in Ontario Canada has one of those, but it's on a track and has netting around it. Me an my brother wanted to go on it but didn't. Maybe next time.
Only 10 cents for some clam chowder when you go on the Cannon? What a deal!
Hellbent should be the ride instructor... I can see it now "now kids it's very important you HIT THE FUCKING NET."
This makes my fear of roller coasters bigger
You guys left out the most dangerous rollercoster of all LIFE.
