I know exactly what you mean. Chip, Bernie, Miss Bud and team were total rockstars when I was a kid. When people used to say that old urban superstition that "the red team always wins" I used to cite Miss Bud as confirmation. Always thought I'd build Bud's but I'm much more nostalgic about awesome local teams like Oberto. I wish there had been a Rainier Unlimited Team, I want a Rainier Boat to be real so bad...
My cousin used to spear carp up here in michigan along the shores of lake erie back in the 70s 80s good times nice racing we need some racing action in toledo oh area would be sweet. Anyways thanks and peace .love your videos and shop time just as much again peace n love.
@M5 Performance Hydroplanes - Scott Meyers Dude we're gonna need a Full MegaStroh Boat Stand Episode. Lots of room for exciting content: paint/cheatlines, stand decals, can chat about history, signature collections, Prop Covers/Rules/Safety Wisdom, building for strength/weight. Why not build a stand to fit on top of those 3 shelf rolling tool carts? Do the RC/U guys all build custom stands?
Typically by the time I finish a boat build I'm so sick of it that I don't feel like spending much time on the boat stand! But I'll think about it, and maybe I'll do something cool for my current builds. Maybe.
The only place I know who provides plans for scale boats is Newton Marine, but they are having troubles with printing right now. You can get a kit boat made from Newton plans here; mlboatworksrc.com/
Money. Mini turbines are very expensive, far too much so to risk running them in competition where bad things happen quickly and often. Clockwise turning is due to counterclockwise engine rotation of RC engines. Prop thrust and the rotational torque of the engines create a lifting force to the left sponson. The boats tend to flop over when turned hard to the left
@M5 Performance Hydroplanes - Scott Meyers Hey Scott, I'm about to make a big decision with my MLBW kit and would really love to hear your opinions before I proceed! I'm building turn-right, turn fin on right, rudder on left, yet otherwise scale as possible. Should everything(Hull) be mirrored from the life-size turn-left boats?(As far as engine well/sponson offset) L/R from drivers-view, my RCBC Fritz Hull has wider sponson on left, engine well offset to left. My Newton plans show the same. My MLBW kits have wider sponson still on left, but according to the laser engraving it appears that the engine well is offset to the right. Looks like I could flip it and build either way no problem, wondering what your thoughts are for best performance in turn-right RC...
That's a tough subject about which my thoughts have crisscrossed multiple times recently. Two ways to look at it... From a L/R balance perspective I say "who cares?", so long as the boat is indeed balanced. But then from an aerodynamic standpoint it could have an effect depending upon the shape of the hull. If your center section has a wing shape with resultant lifting force, then having a wider wing on one side vs the other will affect the boat's attitude at speed. Now the question becomes, on which side would you want greater lift? Hmm. Mmpfh. Heck I don't know! I guess I would say to build it as it was designed and see what happens. Then once you know, YOU can tell me! Ha!
Dont get me wrong, that whole video was great But Mr Jaxon Brown fishing, is AWESOME!!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
I know, right? I still miss my little buddy

All you need now is 3 guys talking at the same time. I used to watch them race at delta park.
Gotta love Jaxons energy to fish. Best part of the whole video !!! RIP buddy.
Thanks Bobby!
Great video Scott as always hard to lose such a good fishing partner that loved to fish.
Jaxon lives on!
Let's Go ! My favorite rc boat channel ❤
#BoatGang
Thanks Jr!
That final was carnage! That “bridge turn” seems to be pretty choppy! Awesome Jaxon Browne closer!!!!!!!
Thanks Cap'n!
Just to let you know you have forced me to watch second rate boat videos having to wait on the good stuff 🤣
Ya I'm cruel like that!
Why?because you lack the skills to build any of these gorgeous boats?u should probably stick to video games
someone should make the u1 and u9 those would be sick

Just curious why no turbine class and running counter-clockwise? I've seen some turbine scale boat videos but those gents were in Europe.
