How many km can go with the timing chain? Mine Make a noise like Little Hammer in hot every time i leave the throttle. So after accelerate until 900 rpm. In neutral without accelerate doesn't do it
So, further down the track did your cam cap modification still work (keeping the cold start rattle at bay) ? Am curious if the bearing in one of the check valves might be stuck open causing it or if the variators do need to be changed as a longer term solution. Doing this has nothing to do with timing chain so no adjustments are needed. Now if you've been driving for years with the issue you might have to change your variations which then requires timing and much more work.

By changing the camshaft cap we don’t need to re-do the timing engine I guess…? (Only if we change the variator itself)
were there any problems with the gesrbox due to the variator

Hello, how many miles does your car have?
so.. a ballbearing installed fixes the issue or the actual variator is being changed?
Just the ball bearing does the trick. If the car ran with that issue for a while then yes the variator would need to be replaced
