    100% synthetic and full synthetic are the same thing. Amsoil may be a blend of group 3 and group 4 base stock just like “full” synthetics are. Pursuant to a 1990’s law suit between Castrol and Mobil 1, courts ruled that group 3 and 4 base oils are synthetic, therefore any oil that contains one or both of those groups, regardless of proportions, can be called synthetic. So as long as Amsoil contains group 3, even if it’s 100% group 3, they can legally call it 100% synthetic. Thus, 100% synthetic and full synthetic are synonymous. Amsoil admitted this in one of their own blogs.

    that is a big vehicle with a puny 2.4L TT. This needs the 3.5L TT and the Tundra/Sequoia/LC/LX should be getting the V8.

    By changing the camshaft cap we don’t need to re-do the timing engine I guess…? (Only if we change the variator itself)

    4 cylinder engines will not accomodate turbo very well. the 2.4 ecotec has plenty of power.

      @reynaldojonson5667 where did you get the oem brackets? As long as the 2 adjustable bolts fit, you should be fine

      @tjfgalang They should, having the same under carriage as did the lexus. But I'd probably do the rear ones all the way around. Don't stagger them like I did Since people are finding out sometimes the lugs will rub your wheels

    you ought to wear disposable latex gloves when handling (hot) motor oil. oil is a known carcinogen.

      @@syntheticperformanceunlimi8323 So, I went through the processes and found out that the cam caps were already modified through TEM performance. I have also check the solenoid valves, and both seem to be working. any other thoughts ? (The rattle only happened 8/10 times on cold start)

    After zooming on the video it appears you did put on the thicker on the back On the video you say installing the 25 on the back instead of the 20 in the front

    I’m a little confused, you said you installed 20mm in the front and 25mm in the back, but the video shows you installed 25 in the front.( the thicker ones) Does Thicker go on the back ? 20 = .78 25=.98 Btw I’m installing on TX 500 h and they do fit

      That was just for example, but yes 25 goes in the back, most are running 25 all around due to some fitment issues with the 20 on the front

      Some people are having issues with the front, I don't know why some would have a difference in the depth of the Grove on the rim. Mine sits completely flush, no marking on the rim of them touching either.

      I tried this and the set of 20mm don’t sit flush with front wheel because the studs stick out too far, and the indentation on the back of the wheels are not deep enough. I had to return the 20mm and order the same 25mm for thr front as with the back. 25mm on the front looking awesome too!! Waiting for the 2 25mm spacers to finish of the rear wheels cause I used the first set them on the front when the 20mm didn’t work.

    20mm front didn’t clear the wheels. Need 25mm to clear existing studs…font wheel was sitting on stud.

      That is incorrect, your wheels have groves that are meant for some extra space. Look again

    I completely agree with the initial oil changes should be soon and often. Those saying not to trust oil analysis and do what my fathers brothers cousin did 30 yrs ago are the same still trusting old wives tales instead of science. Amsoil is a good product. I've been using Schaeffer's with great results. Oil analysis is a tool that not only provides information on the life of the oil but potential issues with your engine.

      So I went to the shop to install them, the 20 mm in the front, the technician said the bolt sticks out. I have the TX 350 premium, same style as your wheel.

      @robertvisico4990 yeah mine does too, your wheel has a grove in it for that exact reason. Put them on. Tell your shop to pay attention and look inside the wheel

      Yes, sir, we had to bore them out again. And then put the check valves in and put a notch at the top so they do not slide out under heat

      hi - were you able to gather more information how the mod procedure is exactly done - in some forum i read that you would need to bore out some oil gallery aswell because the wall of the check valve would block it ???

      They won't unless you have these wheels. The 500s came with more offset so if you if these on then they will stick out pretty bad

      Update, so far so good, the 500f will have different offset wheels so make sure you get proper thickness because of changed offset

    Dear Dennis, thanks for sharing this. Mine Maserati has the same issue. So I am also planning to get my cam caps modified by your contact in Napa and replace the solenoids as well to be sure. But I was wondering. Does this maintenance need any timing adjustment or other special thing to keep in mind, besides disassemble and reassemble stuff? I'm quit good and following very technical tutorials etc. But don't have any experience in engine timing etc. With kind regards Steven
