This adapter works great with the latest generation Android flagship phones (needs a fast processor ) & latest software. Saved me HUGE 3 times now, on my BMW. Reprogrammed my sunroof, clear catalytic codes, signaled faulty injector 6. Not to mention registered my new battery. Thank you Aultel just wish your subscription were for 2 years instead of 1.
Thank you! So many reviews saying the ht200 sucks because they have absolutely no idea how to use it. The HT200 / AP200 are absolutely amazing. Your first download is free and should be lifetime. Each additional download is now $22 for 1 year subscription. When I got the device back in April 2019, they were only $15. $22 is still way cheaper than taking it to a dealer for diagnosis.
@@syntheticperformanceunlimi8323 I had to disconnect the throttle body because I had to replace the valve cover/pcv valve. So my idle was acting up after I put everything together. After doing some research all I found was that the only way to do it was through vag-com software. This thing did the adaption through channel 60 just like the vcsd software. Now my idle is steady once again.
Is this a Hyper Tough HT 500 ? Can this do ECM ? Or scan for Fuel Pressure .? How about spark plugs compression test ? Is this a Bidirectional Scanner ?
I bought the AP200 mainly for reading codes but also because I read in the manual it can do bi directional tests. To my dismay I realized component tests are not available. There is however enough information available to troubleshoot without the actuation but still it's something they mention in the pdf that it is capable of but in reality it's not. Does anyone know something about it's ability to perform an active test on a specific component?
My remote starter does not work. Does it let you reset engine light from phone? Especially during the winter when I don't want to go outside to start my car.
I like to know how you download everything with out pay ?? Or you paid a flat rate? If you can help me were i need to do to get all that on my to and were to make the payment and how much you paid thanks in advance
Hi, Thanks for the helpful video... I have a HT200 scanner. It didn't read any codes or faults, but the Airbag warning light still remains on. What could the problem be?
When i first bought the scanner, autel had some sort of options for different purchases, since then i can't find that flat rate so im making sure i don't loose my scanner!

@@syntheticperformanceunlimi8323 thanks for feedback.. im new to scanners lol. hey im looking to buy a used car,an i dont no anything about cars, was thinking of picking this up so i can check if anything is wrong with the cars im consideriing since i dont really have a mechanic to go with me, do you think this is good for that? to check if anythings wrong? also im trying to buy a toyota so if i looked at say 3,i wouldnt have to pay each time i wanna check a different toyota?
Correct, now its $21 per make if i recall correctly. Once its unlocked you always have it. For instance dodge, ford, bmw, audi. Not just your specific car but the whole make.
You can scan any car for free forever. You ONLY have to pay for the manufacturer software to use special functions like ABS bleed/ immob key/ Battery Reset.
There is no difference, they seem to be exactly the same just 2 differant names. The scanner works with differant software and apps, not limited to just one.
That’s great if they are the same because the ap200 is about 20 bucks more. But there also seem to be two separate apps to download? One for the AP and one for the HT. The AP app seems to have better reviews. And I didn’t know you could use other apps with it. Everything I’ve read says you can only use Autel’s.
They are identical, the HT200 is manufactured in Vietnam, the AP200 in China. I just bought one of these. Ordinarily I would not have purchased a unit with such utterly crappy reviews, but most of the single star reviews were because of something silly, like people who had issues with not being able to use it after updating to Android 10. Autel had no way of knowing that Android 10.0 was going to kill their software. Autel has since fixed this issue, however, I would use a dedicated tablet to use with this product and NOT update the Android OS. Other people complained about not being able to use the HT200 with other software. To me, Autel is the designer, so Autel's software should provide maximum functionality. But the OP says he used it with Ford's software, so that's pretty cool. And you CAN use the AP200 OR the HT200 software. Other people had issues with the software freezing or crashing, but I think their problem is because they are using it on a phone that has it's system resources already tapped out from all the apps running. I'm going to use a dedicated tablet. Obviously the product works. Other people didn't like the fact that the device can only be matched with one phone or tablet. If this happens all you need to do is contact tech support and they will "detatch" your phone or tablet from the HT200 and then you just start using another device. Other people complained about having to purchase additional vehicles. This tool is marketed for DIYers, NOT shops(even though my buddy bought one for his shop and he loves it because he can email a very thorough report to his customers from his phone). I myself need it for my Mercedes. Just one use justifies the purpose. And good luck finding another diagnostic tool for under $50...any scanner capable of doing what THIS bad boy does for ALL vehicles would be very expensive as it is much MUCH more than a code reader. Honestly, spending $15 to add a vehicle make does not seem outrageous to me. Last complaint was bad tech support. I did a crazy amount of market research before investing in a scanner. Zero tech support from Autel's competition such as iCarSoft. Autel was the only one that provided consistent tech support...I called roughly four times, and the longest I waited on hold was 5 minutes. One thing bothered me though, if you choose the option, "or for any other reason, stay on the line" you get prompted to leave a message. When this happened to me I just hung up, called tech support and got a human. Ultimately I think this is a fantastic product. I have three friends that purchased this and they are all very happy with it. I wish people would read into what they are buying BEFORE they make a purchase and stop complaining when they make a mistake and buy the wrong thing.
Definitely the best review anywhere of this product. I had finally bought the unit a few days ago and am pretty impressed. To get a scanner that does what this one does you would have to buy an Autel that costs around $500.
You mentioned something about recoding battery's...will this recode an Audi Q7 battery? The dealership wants $300 bucks to do it!!
