Hope it's helpful! Sorry for the blurred parts. I know Polyphia are understandably very serious about blocking videos that show their tabs. So, I've blurred out the part where the full tab was shown. I hope it doesn't impact your enjoyment of the video.
Here's a great site for an in depth analysis of picking technique with close up footage of some of the World's greatest pickers ruclips.net/video/NWuGkXhj0T8/видео.html and no Baphomet worship necessary. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue_of_Baphomet
Pro-tip: Throw in a practice session before going to sleep and play at slightly below the max speed you can get to right now (without mistakes, that's very important) and be surprised how much easier it will be to play the next morning. Another thing I noticed over the years is that when I learn a song with a hard part that I can't play at the desired speed yet, practicing the whole song and then slowing down at e.g. the solo while learning is a terrible idea. Even when I could play that solo perfectly after some additional practice, my brain still thought there was some pause before it and switched to "attention, hard part, slow down" mode so to speak - it's a nightmare and hard to "unlearn".
@@step-by-step-guitar very nice length for the material as well concise is key and it sucks watching a 10 min video with 3 mins of info The G.O.A.T. of video creation is 3 mins of video with 10 mins of info that doesn't feel rushed
The qoute about finding more details, and the goal moving foward is really well worded. I enjoy your videos. You can be super helpful to guitarists that have major experience like me, or beginners. Im self taught, and in your last video I learned that keeping my thumb out allows for further stretches. You also have great editing. I hope content creation works out for you. If long form isnt, maybe short form could in some way. I think you have a gift at explaining things. I dont comment often.
Thanks very much. I'm glad the videos have helped you. Thanks for the advice on the content. I used to make short form content about a year ago, and those videos did perform quite well. I will try and do a few more again, because I do enjoy making them.
I've been playing about 9 years off an on again and this makes me feel so much better about my progression and the skills I've learned either from trial and error or RUclips thank you
🤘Thanks for all of your wonderful advice! This wasn't mentioned but you can imitate the tone of Tim Henson's guitar by throwing your fender pickup switch to the up position, choose a clean tone, and finally add a Chorus effect commonly found on many amps. i like to throw treble all the way up too to make the harmonics ring a bit more. 🤘
I started guitar in late october of 2023, and after a little over a month i decided to try learning Goose by Polyphia- Chunking made the song SO much more manageable, and along the way practicing the song not only allowed me to play that song, but many others, as my ability to legato, alternate pick, and move large distances became easier. I think its pretty fruitful to push your limits with songs like these because it *does* translate to playing other songs.
It shows what an amazing guitarist Tim Henson is. His precision, speed and timing is nuts. Thanks for sharing this. You could hear it was not perfect yet but I think it does not take anything away from you as a teacher. It is good to show students it takes a boatload of dedication to get to such a high level! A lot of talk is about Tim, but Scott Le Pages guitar game is on point as well. And the rhythm Clays as well. That is why Polyphia is such a good band. Just raw talent that found each other.
Henson looks so relaxed when he plays ... he uses the absolute minimum movement ... I purchased his signature guitar ... and I still can't play like him !
I'm currently still learning this song and I started a few days ago. I was able to learn this riff quickly! (except the really fest run.. yet) other than the run the rest of the parts are easy to learn (for the main riff)
@@claudiodifranco5336 I mean Tim plays it live with sweeps, but the studio version is alternate picking all the way, if I'm not mistaken (I guess you can hear it too, at least I'm pretty sure I can), so good luck with that xd.
i dont think its their hardest at all. I learned the main riff when I was 13 and at 14 i know the whole thing (minus run at end if song). Their songs such as od or even older stuff is alot more challenging. As for hardest riff or song, Animals as Leaders my friend. Nice vid tho!! 🎸
Subscribed but please redo this video because you're final take is not good and that's a really bad look. Also I can't comprehend how you can call your self a guitar teacher and do the tongue thing.
why do you show the tabs ? I mean you need to pay for them and you straight up showed them on screen.... Tim said him and Scott make most of their money thanks to tabs sells. Cool video otherwise :)

Henson is a masterclass on planning your fingers based on the next note.
Your editing is clean asf man! the vid is easy to digest and very fun to watch!
Thanks very much! I'm pleased you like it and thanks for taking the time to make a comment :-)

This is not easy, but it is absoluuuuuutely not the hardest riff ever

@step-by-step-guitar of course man I just hope to get out of this plateau I just need to keep practicing

Now I don't feel bad when it takes hours and hours to learn one of Tim's riffs. I'm right on par.

Have you tried getting neck tattoos?

Did you ever finish learning the full song?
What program are you working in where you can adjust the speed? Please provide some details of the process. thx
GOAT is actually one of the easier Polyphia songs… and yes this is ridiculous 😂
Definitely nowhere near the Harders riff. Try learning O.D
@@BigBadMadden95 i learned OD and it is hard but compared to something like playing god its easy
@@claudiodifranco5336 i can play playing god but OD is totally out of reach to me

"GOAT is their hardest song"
Ego Death: Oh, sweet summer child
Goat is no where near the hardest
i promise even tim played that probably 1000 times before getting it perfect
I never tried to learn this one, but I would wager to bet that Blood Moon is more difficult to learn. Try it out!
Is Guitar Pro worth the money for reading tabs and playing guitar?
this is incredible
Thanks!
Goat took me like 30 min to get down. 40oz was the impossible one for me
I’ve learned many of Polyphia’s songs and I can safely say that goat is the easiest.
Thats true man, just the main riff of playing god goes harder than entire G.O.A.T song
Learn OD 40 oz or ABC next
Try od dude
haha what 35 hours? I have been practicing this for more than 8 months and still cannot play it :D

Wait until he tries to play O.D. it doesnt sound as hard as G.O.A.T but it is WAAAAY harder lmao

😀Cool, thanks I've now blurred the parts of the video where I showed the full TAB. I appreciate that Polyphia need to make a living.
I'm sure they're hurting for money😂
