Mike, I'm 74, when I was growing up, both political party's had their own beliefs , but for the most part, they would come together for the betterment of our county. Today, members of the Senate and House, are only concerned about their own state or district, to insure they get re-lected. We need 2 terms and no lobbyist. They are the ones who have gotten us to where we are today. Thanks

On a lighter note: been meaning to tell you- watching your sawmill brings back some incredibly happy memories for me, but maybe not what you think.
In Eastern Utah, back when I was a little boy, my Grandpa would drive his pick up to the saw mill and pick up a load of ‘slabs.’ Those first cut pieces off the log. They were free, and poor farmers like my Grandpa would build hog pens, chicken coops, corrals and more out of those slabs and cedar posts (which we also got for free from tree harvest areas).
I loved driving in my Grandpa’s truck and helping him build or repair pig pens and other structures out on the farm.
. . . And so, I smile and reminisce every time I see you cut those slabs to square a log!

Hi Mike, I watch your channel everyday and don’t comment very often but I have to say you have hit the nail on the head and applaud you for saying what you think and not caring about what others think. There needs to be more of this in this country because to me what is happening now is a total slap in the face to the Men and women who have fought for our freedoms and rights. He keeps telling me when I get worked up like you just did “Greg, we got 15 maybe 20 years left on this earth, settle down and coast her on in from here” but it’s my kids and grandkids I feel bad for. I’m with you Mike, I just want to say thank you and although I don’t know you in person, but you and your family are part of those good people that I care about and I respect. The people on this channel are like a team, a family almost, and we will stand together. I agree with you thoughts on why do a huge party, but I have stopped doing it myself and truthfully there is no better way to pay respect to those gave their lives than to keep standing together to force a change in this country of ours.

Thanks Mike. You spelled out a lot of very good points and hit the nail on the head with many of the issues. However, when it comes to the freedom concern, I feel you have to step back a bit and think about what we do still have. Just think a second. You were able to vent all your concerns and issues on a social media site including some complaints about public officials and not fear getting arrested. The other day you were able to go by some "precious metal" and drive to others states without having to pass thru check points. You have beautiful property and great personal belongings. I guess what I am trying to state is compared to many other countries, we still have it pretty darn good. The key now is we need to fight to hang on to what we still do have.

I'm a relatively new fan and watcher and love your content. I'm a USAF vet, my son is currently serving on the Eisenhower over in the red Sea. This entire country is struggling with everything you just mentioned and at some point we need to rally together and focus on fixing things instead of hating each other. I love your content cause I hope for our future, and look up to guys like you that have figured out how to make a living doing the stuff that you do. Whatever you do, please do not stop celebrating our freedoms. No matter how bad it gets, we need to remember why we have these freedoms. They haven't taken them all away from us yet, and I doubt they could ever take away our freedoms! But we do have to align ourselves better as Americans, that's for sure! Keep up the good work!

Mike, I'm not sure you will see this comment, but I need to share it anyway. First, thank you for all you do. Secondly, I urge you to not give up the fight. Others have commented that the opposition wins if we quit .There is nothing more true than that. You do us all a great service to include us in your celebrations of this great country. Being in California, I know how discouraging it is. Remember that not celebrating is a disservice to those that have fought for us for over 235 years. There are those that follow behind us, who have no idea of what and why we celebrate. They need to be shown, by us. You can see how many lives your celebrations touch by the comments. I look forward to many more patriotic celebrations of this great nation.

We're in the UK and are going through the same thing here. It's like returning to the old Feudal system where the elite make all the decisions based on their own desires. Democracy no longer exists in the main political parties as there's nothing to choose between them, but if history has taught us anything it's that freedom isn't automatic and continuously needs to be fought for. I'm not talking weapons and war, but exercising your right to be patriotic by celebrating the victories of the past and keeping our countries' traditions alive. I've a feeling that the winds are gradually changing and that more people than you think are beginning to awaken to the wrongs that are happening. Have your 4th July celebrations - it's more important now than it ever was before!
Mike, I'm fully in agreement with your comments. I'm significantly older than you and have seen just that much more and it is just crazy how things have gone and are going. It's hard to believe that this can go on much longer.

Mike, truer words were never spoken, but need to be. You hit the nail on the proverbial head! Unfortunately, the majority of the people like us aren’t as vocal as the loudmouth extremists, with the DC contingency being the most disruptive. I understand your feelings about the 4th party, and all I can suggest is don’t let the extremists win. We need to stay strong and celebrate what we have fought so hard to have and not succumb to the negativity of others. It’s just what they want. Thanks for speaking up. Love what you guys do!
I completely agree with you. It's disappointing to see what our country has turned into. I'm convinced it is not by accident. Something bad is coming, and it will not be easy to overcome. But I believe as you do that there are still an overwhelming majority of patriots that will right the ship. Stay positive, my friend.
Mike I agree with you 100%. I'm not quite sure how we got here but here we are. I worry most about my children. When I was 28 years old I had a house and children and both my wife and I were in a solid place financially.
We were able to afford what we had and we were relatively independent . Now my kids are both around that same age and they are struggling. We are lucky to be in a situation where we can help them, which ultimately means there are some things we'd like to buy and we've just kind of put that on the back burner. It's bad and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I work in a large home center and I see people coming in barely able to afford things they desperately need. It's almost inevitable that the conversation goes very similar to what you just said. I can tell you that I speak to at least 40 people everyday and everyone feels like you feel. You are not alone and I hope there are enough of us who will try to do the right thing to fix what is so terribly wrong with this country.
That being said, I think you should have this party in spite of how you currently feel. You will be around like-minded people and supporting our country with the hopes that it will get better.
I am sorry that you're going to receive some negative comments and I hope you just block those people because you do not have a negative channel. You are not some radical right-wing guy. I feel like you're just looking for common sense that currently isn't there. Keep fighting the fight Mike.
Keep doing what you were doing and don't be afraid to tell people how you feel. Most of us are great people and we are on board 100% and I'm just glad you're using your voice to let people know what so many others will not say.

Mike & Melissa, I watch your videos all the time and I am a little jealous of what you have built together. I am now a retired Journeyman Machine Repairman from GM I have a compact tractor and do small side jobs. Your talk today about what's going on in our country right now is correct and yes the level headed good people will survive but the others will make it difficult. We still need to celebrate what we do have in this country not for what it is now but for what it was and what it could be. So keep on keeping on I struggle everyday especially the older I get but my love for GOD and my family keep me sane. I don't know if you are a believer but the Bible tells us how to react to what is going on right now. GOD bless you and your family and as I said keep on keeping on and control what can and give the rest to GOD.

And you know that if and when we are in trouble, that these countries would not even pour water on us if we were on fire.
We need to take care of us first and also take care of our vets. so that they can have a roof over their head and not live in a tent under a bridge. My parents lived through the depression and believe me I don't want to have go through that any time soon.

I'm with you. I probably have a dozen t-shirts that have an American flag on them (and guitars). It's getting more difficult to wear them as things change in this country.
Secondly, things change. We used to go to the NASCAR races in Las Vegas to meet up with our friends. However, after 18 years it lost its luster and we agreed it would be our last. So, don't feel bad. You'll find something else to fill that spot. We are taking that time to go different places and see other friends. You will, too. Thanks for you thoughts and perspective.

Unfortunately, politics is so toxic that the best amongst us have no interest in putting themselves and their families into this mess. Good morning Mike. I have always structured my life on staying focused on what can I can do for my country, family and what directly effects my small world. With that I feel if I stop celebrating our country and our countries accomplishments and basic fundamentals then those apposed or simply don't care then they win and I must abide by their believes. No matter what we have the best country and freedoms of all. I hear what you're saying, just consider that a small group of our founding fathers disagreed with how to form our country but they, for the most part, stood strong and fought together. I always tell people about "Outdoors with the Morgans" and say that I'm not completely sure of your stance on things (probably because you try to be careful not to muddy the channel with debate) but I can read between the lines that you and I are like-minded on most things.
