Can I get this done in the UK somewhere? I have contacted a number of orthodontist but nobody seems to have any experience with TADs for gummy smile and they're all recommending jaw surgery even though my bite is functional and this is only a cosmetic issue for me 😥

I believe it is bone reabsorption. Like how the roots of your baby teeth dissolve from the pressure of the permanent teeth growing above them. That’s why when baby teeth fall out it is only the crown of the tooth and not the entire thing that you see. Just my educated guess. It is also possible that the bone pushes up slightly into the nasal cavity.
@@Li-oz1ux My upper front teeth were too much inside, there were no room for braces on lower ones... that's why i had TADs. In three months they made more progress than just braces in nine.
it hurt a good amount but damn it was worth it. it completely reshaped my face and it looks so much better now. i used to have long face with a gummy smile but now my face is more compact and i show no gums. i recommend a lot.

Yes, it is. My mom has it, I do now and both my daughters now have it. I did read it somewhere that it's genetic.
This is the only video on RUclips that does this treatment, other were Botox, lasering gum, jaw cutting surgery😂. I think I'll keep mine

It's not painful at all and it works! My daughter had that procedure.
Had my Tad's put in two days ago but not for this reason. Doesn't hurt, just a little discomfort but if it will give results.. it's worth it.
