AST Spacemobile Strikes Deal With Verizon and AT&T to Rival SpaceX

AST SpaceMobile Inc. shares gained by the most ever after Verizon Communications Inc. said it will invest $100 million in a partnership with the satellite communications company intended to challenge Elon Musk’s SpaceX. AST struck a similar deal with AT&T two weeks ago. AST says it will be able to provide 100% coverage of the continental US from smartphones to its future planned satellite system. CEO Abel Avellan is on "Bloomberg Technology."

Rival? There's no comparison between AST and Space X. You have to buy equipment and pay for service with Space X. AST sends the signals directly to smartphones, no equipment necessary with already paid for cell service through your phone company.
