Everytime I get back on this game, I'm immediately drawn into it like no time has passed. This really is a masterpiece that will stand the test of time.
The immersion is ruined by the sweaty players running shotguns and the constant use of sub machine guns and assault rifles when those were very very rare.
@@Tiberious_Of_Elona Then don’t say it’s unrivaled when there are tons more games that are much more historically accurate and more realistic. Don’t let your fanboy love for battlefield cloud objective criticism
I bought the game when it first came out but I didn't have a good enough PC to play it so it would always crash during the pigeon flight section of the story.
I don’t think they will for a while considering in my opinion it is the best battlefield ever, but definitely has been the last good battlefield they made
Agreed it’s pretty much the only the fps game I play now everything is else (on console) is bland bf1 is that type of game that will never be forgotten, truly a masterpiece!

I'm a high school teacher and I just recently started teaching WWI for my classes and talking about it got me to wanna hop on and to my surprise after taking about a year hiatus from BF1 theres still hella full servers and that makes me happy.
The story for this game felt like I was watching a movie, and better yet, the multiplayer was the same way. The insane level of detail and commitment to nail the WW1 atmosphere is why this is probably my all time favorite game
I haven't played video games for years but still enjoy your videos just for the pure entertainment and laughs. Please keep doing what you're doing Jack!
Been playing this for about 3 weeks now absolutely love it all ready level 53 love the gameplay the grittiness it actually feels like a battle field game the weapon play is amazing to variety and choices to choose from
I joined this game really late but the immersion blew me away and how damn crispy it looked on Xbox One X when I launched it. The 2 things I first thought when I joined were to hear the headshot hitmarker sound effect and to see the Zeppelin falling down,it was so satisfying.I also saw an immersive video on RUclips of a trench battle in BF1 and hearing the sounds, the screams, the soldiers charging together with bayonets and also with such graphics it was something I wish DICE kept with just a modern timeline. It lacked a bit of content at the start but considering it was set on a WW1 era they did an awesome job and created an unforgettable masterpiece.
By far, my favorite Battlefield game! Something about the visual design even down to the scaling of the players to environment etc. it is so gritty and intense I love it!
I remember the Operations this game had. Upon victory or loss, there were a commentary on what happened and what will happen depending on the mission, and the music on those endings were... I don't even know how to describe em. As if I was watching a movie or something.
7:32 If I'm not tripping, the plane that was flying by was making sound that was in same note as note in which Jack was saying "a plane" so it sounded so weird, almost robotic like or if he had autotune (it maybe wasn't the same note but plane's noise and Jack saying "a plane" was definitely in harmony with it's notes
i wish they didn't just abandon battlefield games, i would have loved them to keep updating them every now and then. it would keep the series alive and more active
It’s not just battlefield. Every game franchise gets abandoned when the sequel comes out. Unfortunately it’s just the way game development works nowadays.
I remember this is what came with my Xbox One when I decided to get back into gaming. I had some great times and ultimately got a PC to play all these titles again. Such a good time. I still play rotating BF games for fun and recently setup some COD MW2. Exciting times in gaming!

That was fun Jack - that vid was such a great snapshot of Battlefield's "sandbox" experience. And your glee at trying different things was infectious... it made me want to stop everything and fire up the game.
The Rocket Gun still has one of the most satisfying firing sounds ever. That exploding clang sent _chills_ down my spine the first few times I shot it.
The immersion, the atmosphere, the sound. The last game of the battlefield series, which actually put me in a real war setting. Unlike two other games, which followed...
Played BF1 today for 3 hours on a hard-core server with one shot one kill on bolt action rifles. Holy christmass it is so much fun . This game is amazing. Detail. Gameplay. Music. Everything is insane. Let's keep this community alive everyone. Thank you Jack for posting videos of BF1. Let's keep it alive people.
I played bf1 the other day and actually got in one of the stationary cannons (big ones that shoot 2) and went off! Sank 18 ships on the island map. Never done that before. This game still rocks
Tbh it completely diverged from the conq bread and butter. It’s a fun game but the focus on operations and frontlines really showed. Conquest was neglected
Been playing this the last few days, still unlocking a bunch of guns from the challenges. Despite the rage and problems the game has I still have been enjoying it a lot
This was a really fun one to watch!! Laughed out loud at "the matrix is collapsing" - also bonus points for "leman russ" ;D (BTW: moar no-HUD BFOne please! The game really is a cinematic experience without it!)
back in the day people stepped off the game because it wasnt the new bf4 they hoped for but man this is a true masterpiece i have over 800h in bf1 and its still my favorite bf, no weird slide bug abusing like bf4, good immersion, easy to get into - hard to master, some of the guns train your aim fairly well as they require precision since youll get no mag, it only lets you chamber round to round + clip reloading which often puts you in tricky situations, sort of a little challenge to overcome in the gameplay
Everytime I get back on this game, I'm immediately drawn into it like no time has passed. This really is a masterpiece that will stand the test of time.

The immersion in BF1 is unrivaled and has one of the best soundtracks ever. The Sound design in this game is insane.
