    Your not getting the final radius to match the punch radius. So what formula did you use to decide what your punch size was need to be? For example if I wanted a 400mm bend radius. My punch radius would need to be substantially smaller to account for spring back.

      Yes, unless the formed material is extremely malleable you will not achieve a size for size bend. All material will spring back differently based on the material type, gauge thickness, and tensile strength. No formula, It’s a trial and error approach. Based on past practice we can get close. Then we develop or turn down the punch profile to reach the proper bend. Testing can be completed with a narrower section of material and then interpolated to the full width part. If needed we would be happy to help develop tooling for you. Please contact us at www.acrotechinc.com Thank You!

    Can I overbend 3 degrees in one of those?we have one of those red color at work but not sure how much pressure to put on. Material is t6-6061 aluminum 080 thickness and the piece to bend is 3 inches width using a 1.5 radius. Any answer I will appreciate.

    Can i use polyurethane 90A in shore for drawing process? Or embossing process?

      Thank You for the comment! Yes! Of course you can. 90A is perfect for both processes. You could use other durometers as well to achieve a nice drawing and embossing process. Choosing durometer will be based on your material type, thickness and the detail of the work. Many factors for a customized result. If you are unsure of what durometer you really will need please contact us here www.acrotechinc.com/contact/ or fill out the form on our website for a sample keychain and catalog to be sent to you. www.acrotechinc.com/request-a-catalog/

    I know we have to compensate for spring back, but i have no idea of how to even approach a variable radius, such as 2 parabolas forming an S-curve. Hot even a single idea of how to trial and error this.

      We are having a bit of a tough time visualizing your project. Do you happen to have a print or a drawing that we could look at? That way we could discuss the best possible approach for your application over the phone? Please feel free to contact us or send us your drawing on our contact us page here www.acrotechinc.com/contact/ Thank You!

    how much dimension of deflecting bar sir? can you explain

    • @acrotechinc
      @acrotechinc  5 лет назад

      I believe in this case the bars were 3/4" diameter. It is all dependent on the application, the radius that you want to achieve, material thickness and material type. We can work with you to determine what would fit for your application and needs. Feel free to contact us anytime. www.acrotechinc.com

      @@acrotechinc what application do you mean?
      My research about v bending, i'm just confused about penetration and diameter of bar deflector, is it same?
