    A lot of "fat" influencers refer to their body as a separate entity. Anna says she is "in a bigger body" theres this mental disconnect between who they think they are and who they actually are. You are not IN a bigger body you ARE a bigger body

      @@aves8560 of course you are also your body. Not only, but also. If you lose a limb you're still you If we are referring to the inner Part of "me", so the soul, the character, your mind. But you're not completely you in a physical sense anymore, no.
      If i end up depressed, i am still myself physically, but a part of my inner self is missing, so in my mind we are only completely ourself If our body and our most inner self are both complete. "Being yourself" referes to you most inner self, so i think thats why many people don't see the body as a part of the "inner". It's just the temple for your soul, but if my house gets ruined, there's no place for me to stay... Our body is deeply connected to our soul, without body, there's no "myself"

      @@aves8560 I get that but I think the difference between a wart and fat is, fat forms due to consequence of our own actions... Which means we can choose to increase it or decrease it.. I understand that losing fat is an extremely difficult thing to do and sometimes we try to distance ourselves from the consequences of our actions to soothe the guilt we feel.. but the truth is the more we distance ourselves the less we will change anything about it.. for me it is extremely hard to lose weight, my metabolism has been reduced to 85-90% due to the medications i take, i cannot strength train because my muscles won't repair themselves like a normal person.. if i distance myself from my body it'll be extremely discouraging for me to get out of the 3 more kgs to get out of overweight... But I guess to each their own.. if seeing your body as a seperate entity will help you better yourself that can work too... We can just agree to disagree then 💪💪💪

    What Anna is showing is actually dangerous. And that trainer having her jump is very irresponsible. I think she's really in denial about how big she is, and the poor state that SHE put her body in. The running, the jumping...it's ridiculously dangerous. Do the light lifting, but focus mainly on walking and swimming, and the one thing she never really talks about and I'm sure isn't really changing: Change your FOOD and how much of it you eat.

      Totally agree, and I have a similar reaction to people who worry about loose skin when losing weight. The skin is already stretched. Focus on being healthy and use the money you save from eating less and having fewer medical issues to save up for skin surgery if you feel it's necessary. To me, these illogical concerns are the addiction/poor mental health rationalizing poor behavior. Very sad.

    • @nicole7431
      @nicole7431 7 месяцев назад +4

      Yeah I actually have loose skin from losing a lot of fat, and I don't love how it looks, but in addition to being healthier, I do still look better than I did with all that extra adipose tissue. Especially in clothes, which for most situations, you're going to be wearing. I agree that there's probably some rationalizing unhealthy behaviors at the base of it.

      @@learntolearnl2l I totally get where you're coming from. There was one video I saw of two guys, one was a body builder, the other a rock climber. They were doing sets of curls and the rock climber was more than keeping up with his more petite muscles. Same with the guy who pretends to be a gym custodian. Functional strength is denser than visible bulk, and I know with Patty, she's been dialing back on increasing weight and focusing on increasing reps. It is rare for a woman to be able to bulk up the way men can without enhancement, and a surprising number of women who train and talk about "women can't be bulky" also have body dysmorphia. They don't realize how bulky they are sometimes.

You have to completely rid yourself of your bad lifestyle habits, retrain your brain, and live and breathe for your health. Especially when you are as far gone as I was and as far gone as she is. I eat a generally boring, bland diet to stay in a consistent deficit. I do boring, redundant exercises every single day to make my body strong. Routine is boring. What isn’t boring are the results! The rush of adrenaline when you finally see 100 lbs down on a scale, the power you feel when you complete a training session like a beast! Being able to go on a walk with your family without feeling like death! THOSE are the new “high” you have to replace food with! And it is so worth it!

Short femurs, long torso, short arms (regardless of height; this is about relative proportions, not overall height, and hence, these proportions can exist in short, medium and tall people). Short arms reduce the range of motion when picking up the weight and moving it through the air. Not one high-level Olympic lifter has "deadlift arms."

    The BEST thing Anna could do is 60m of WALKING daily. As fast as she can, for 60 min.
    She should continue that until she loses 250lbs.
    Then she can build, and recomp.
    She would need extensive skin removal surgery but Anna is privileged enough to afford that.

    Honestly, that's a pretty rude thing to say, like getting super muscular and buff just happens and doesn't require being very intentional with your nutrition and fitness routine. 🙄 Comments like that are a slap in the face to women like Ilona that have worked their tail off for the results they have.

    I went through a phase of flavoring my water with flavor drops, food extracts, and lemon juice. I didn’t like fresh fruits and herbs because it wouldn’t flavor that much or be bitter from citrus rinds. My favorite was a blue Gatorade like flavor and lemon juice. Another was lemonade drops and mint extract. Yum!

    Going to a gym was the best thing to happen to my fitness. It was intimidating at first but I got the courage to speak to one of the trainers at PF(can't complain when it's 5 minutes from me). They walked me through, showed me the equipment and signed up. Next day I spoke to the trainers just to make sure I had my form down for the big compound lifts and found a solid program online. Although I do have a full gym at work, I only really get a chance to hit it once or twice a week since I have a 3 day weekend. Nothing like using a barbell compared to the Smith machine.
    Needless to say, it was the best decision to go because I've met a ton of great people and received awesome tips for my progress.
