Nice vid and great timing as I need to change mine soon. Only thing I’d add is that if your Macan has air suspension, the auto leveling system should be turned off prior to lifting the vehicle by turning the car on, then holding the suspension “down” button for like 10-15 seconds until you get a confirmation that auto-leveling is switched off. Once you’re done, the system can be switched back on using the same procedure.
The scanner is a must have if you DIY anything. For something like these brakes and even simple oil change reset it's a requirement. Im a have to buy one now!
Really nice video. I see that this Macan has the gray calipers. Can this brake rotors/pads set replace the PSCB's that typically come with the gray calipers on a 2021 Macan GTS without any issues?
An iCarsoft CR Max but you can also use their cheaper V2.0: flat6motorsports.com/products/icarsoft-por-v2-0-oil-service-reset-multi-system-diagnostic-tool-macan
Porsche recommends replacing the caliper bolts but the bolts and clips can be reused. Any particular part you’re looking for a torque spec on? We don’t always show for the purpose of efficiency.
@@Flat6Motorsports thanks for the info. Looking for the torque for the front caliper bolts of a 2015 macan turbo. First problem seems to be getting the bolts off, they aren't budging with a breaker bar or an impact wrench
@@ozziegt Porsche calls for 30 NM and then a 90 degree turn. You can try some penetrating oil like PB Blaster and possible some heat to get them to back out unless they're too corroded or seized.

Thanks for the tip! Should have defiantly mentioned this in the video
Excellent guide.
That's a good looking Macan.
Great work guys, always appreciate the professional work you guys do. 🤘
i didnt see the brake pads, boot and bolts being coated with anti sieze or lubrication. We don't need to lubricate them?

I have the iCarSoft PRO and use it on my Macan and my 718. It's definitely a must have tool.

What size breaker bar is good.. like the one u used..thanks
thanks for all your videos and products, you have a video where I can learn how to change the electric brake the whole piece
Thanks, unfortunately we do not.
You could have clean up the brake dust before installing new pads.
Is it normally required to replace rotors when the Macan has only 28K miles?
It would depend on use. I’d see if there is a lip on the rotor to help gauge or consult a mechanic
@@Flat6Motorsports, thanks. I can also mic it for relative wear.
How much brake fluid is needed?
Usually 1L
what scan tool are you using

should I add more fluid in brake reservoir when im replacing the lines to reduce chances of getting more air in the line?
Yes, you should always have a sufficient amount in the reservoir. You can also use a power bleeder with an independent reservoir for ease.
How much is the kit? Range? Thanks

How can you change these rear pads yourslef if you don't have the handlheld computer? Suggestions?
Yes, shoot us an email and we can provide a little more information/tips. info@flat6motorsports.com
The clips and bolts are supposed to be single use aren't they? Also no sign of a torque wrench?
