You'll never find anyone like them. I've listened to them since 2004 and still keep them on the playlist. Cool story. I've met them in passing a few times at concerts. Bought Adam a beer when they opened for Les Claypool in Austin. Chatted for a bit and told him I was getting deployed soon. His response was something along the lines of "that sucks, thank you". Fast forward, I deployed to Iraq in 2008 and my return date got delayed. As a result, I had to miss an upcoming concert back in the states. I wrote them a letter and told them I couldn't attend but would make the soonest concert I could. They actually sent me back an AWESOME care package! It included a lot of unreleased music and recordings of a couple concerts. Fan for life
@@blindninja907 wow, that is a cool story. I’m not American; I’m English. But I respect your service and what you did for your country. That’s awesome they sent you a care package and you got to actually meet Adam and Tyson in person. I’d love to just see them play, but I guess they don’t play the UK too much. To this day though Adam is one of my favourite guitarists, and Steady Rollin is a song I’ve played for many years - getting better at until I finally understood travis picking. I could play my whole life though and be half the guitar player he is
Call the dogs and sound the horns The city key of where I's born's Been stolen by someone I thought I knew She blew in with some angel dust From a southern state where love is lust And I hope she's gone By the time this song is through Not a moment passes by She wets her lips Sweats her eyes Baits her tongue with pity for her prey (Do your best to look away) And she transcends the avenue A smile for me, a wink for you I guess I'll take my place in yesterday But darlin' I can't wait For you to leave this town You just got here too late And no one wants you 'round With one foot on my back And the other on the rail I don't want to see you fall I want to see you fail The night is sweet The night's divine It stains your teeth With blood-red wine And leaves you lyin' In your enemy's arms And while you mumble down the hall Something 'bout a skin made wall You find you're just a sucker For her charms Cause the vanity that cakes her face Sucks you in to her embrace Feel your sense of self just fade away (Do you best to look away) And see you're just a one man show And once you're done it's time to go Hear somebody's footsteps around the way Darlin' I can't wait For you to leave this town You just got here too late And no one wants you 'round With one foot on my back And the other on the rail I don't want to see you fall I want to see you fail And the youth protests the failing light With his shirt sleeves rolled In the humid night He wonders where it was that he went wrong And in denial while he ascends To a lofty room all dreams end He watches while his footsteps lead him on And in the fires he takes his time The well-worn steps he slowly climbs Find a line of meathooks on display (Does your conscience lose its way?) And in the streets the sirens sing What word they tell what news they bring The puppet and his cold coat's strings obeys Darlin' I can't wait For you to leave this town You just got here too late And no one wants you 'round With one foot on my back The other on the rail I don't want to see you fall I want to see you fail I don't want to see you fall I want to see you fail
I met my husband at a two gallants show. They'll always have a special place in my heart.
I've still yet to find anyone else quite like them. One of my favourite bands.
I know people who actively dislike them, imagine that?

Call the dogs and sound the horns
The city key of where I's born's
Been stolen by someone I thought I knew
She blew in with some angel dust
From a southern state where love is lust
And I hope she's gone
By the time this song is through
Not a moment passes by
She wets her lips
Sweats her eyes
Baits her tongue with pity for her prey
(Do your best to look away)
And she transcends the avenue
A smile for me, a wink for you
I guess I'll take my place in yesterday
But darlin' I can't wait
For you to leave this town
You just got here too late
And no one wants you 'round
With one foot on my back
And the other on the rail
I don't want to see you fall
I want to see you fail
The night is sweet
The night's divine
It stains your teeth
With blood-red wine
And leaves you lyin'
In your enemy's arms
And while you mumble down the hall
Something 'bout a skin made wall
You find you're just a sucker
For her charms
Cause the vanity that cakes her face
Sucks you in to her embrace
Feel your sense of self just fade away
(Do you best to look away)
And see you're just a one man show
And once you're done it's time to go
Hear somebody's footsteps around the way
Darlin' I can't wait
For you to leave this town
You just got here too late
And no one wants you 'round
With one foot on my back
And the other on the rail
I don't want to see you fall
I want to see you fail
And the youth protests the failing light
With his shirt sleeves rolled
In the humid night
He wonders where it was that he went wrong
And in denial while he ascends
To a lofty room all dreams end
He watches while his footsteps lead him on
And in the fires he takes his time
The well-worn steps he slowly climbs
Find a line of meathooks on display
(Does your conscience lose its way?)
And in the streets the sirens sing
What word they tell what news they bring
The puppet and his cold coat's strings obeys
Darlin' I can't wait
For you to leave this town
You just got here too late
And no one wants you 'round
With one foot on my back
The other on the rail
I don't want to see you fall
I want to see you fail
I don't want to see you fall
I want to see you fail
wow...just...wow...
GREAT!
