What horrifies me is the fact that Coraline had no control over going back to the other world and the other mother just took over her body. Coraline became the very thing she wanted to destroy so desperately. THIS SONG GAVE ME THE HEEBIE JEEBIES GOOD JOB
@@jennifervan75 Two things: The Beldam's mechanical hand left a cut on Coraline's arm before she smashed it with a rock. It spread an infection that continued into adulthood. Look at the green infection and cracked skin on Coraline's arm. Second, it may have to do with the fact that Coraline never left the Pink Palace Apartments. She still lived there after everything and everyone she knew was long gone. Guarding that key to the other world is one thing but she never thought about taking it, moving somewhere far away, and letting the place get torn down.
It would be even more horrifying to imagine that some part of Coraline's brain is still conscious and fully capable of perceiving what goes on (from the Beldam's perspective) for as long as the Beldam lives. It would immediately tear her heart in two, and eventually make her go insane.
I love that you turned the other father's songs into a sinister lullaby by the beldam. Jeremy's desperate attempts to flee, running into walls because of his massively impaired view thanks to the buttons really broke me ;-;
For anyone who is confused I got you. Starting off with what happened to Coraline. When Coraline escaped she threw the hand down the well but kept the key with her. As she grew up, she was haunted by the beldam and never took the key off. She made it her mission in life to guard the door. When her neighbors died she bought their apartments. Eventually her mom and dad died to but she never left. She became the sole owner of the pink palace. The beldam worked hard for years to learn how to take over Corallines body. She uses the portal in the mirror to possess her. Once she takes over corallines body, she eats her sole. Coraline is gone forever, and the other mother is all that is left. No one notices that Coralline disappeared because she had no friends and was seen as "crazy" all throughout her life. No one believed her stories so they (probably the government or the HOA) decided to sell the house to a father (not Wybe just a random guy) and his son. The child, Jaramy, is tricked by the other mother and she eventually eats Jeremy’s sole. This might not be 100% correct but I was confused at first, so I hope this helps. Coraline is one of my favorite things, so this was amazing!!!
@@The-watterno. Remember, the Beldam took shape of coraline’s mother in the film, so the Beldam took form of Coraline .so Jeremy is not a random man’s son,he is the son of CORALINE
What i generally find the most horrific of this is how Jeremy would run into walls and have no idea as to where he was going: he's aware that he's tricked and tries to escape but finds the door bricked up.
OMG! Jeremy's face when he realizes that the door has been bricked up is absolutely heartbreaking! I keep watching it over and over again. You can see the disbelief and dread and terror Jeremy feels in that moment! It is so perfect!
The one thing that felt so true (headcannon) to the movie and book was the part to where the kids arent able to escape once their eyes get sown shut with the buttons the door gets blocked with the bricks. Which adds more overwhelming sense of fear and despair added to the hopes of the children escaping being shattered instantly. The added touch i found interesting that the kids dont feel pain when their eyes get sown with the buttons and they're able to see through the buttons. Overall i love this cover and story of this AU, plus this is on my favorite cover playlists 😍
This song is absolutely fantastic, but it is the animatic that conveys the story and ultimately makes it shine. The visuals are stunning, I especially love the usage of colours and blue undertones that always surround Coraline. Her "possessed" eyes are extremely beautiful. At first, I was confused about the plot, but after reading the description, it becomes apparent that Coraline's and Jeremy's stories are separate and happen at different times, You conveyed Beldam's sinister nature perfectly. I felt shivers down my spine when she sang "Sleep". The erratic movements and shift of the mood when Jeremy wakes up with the button eyes really sell the whole feeling of desperation that both Jeremy and us, the viewers, feel. The brick wall instead of the door is an incredibly powerful image that signifies how there is truly no escape for the poor child anymore. This time, the spider finally caught her prey. You've done an incredible job. I am eagerly waiting for your next project. P.S. Jeremy, my man, why were you so excited to have buttons for your eyes? It's not even your "other mother" who is asking you to do it but some random woman, lol.
@@cstarrosecolors7736 I was just about to say maybe he didn't have a mom, like maybe his mom died in an accident and doesn't remember her and was easily manipulated by her😥😰😰
Thank you! The artist is incredibly talented and visualised this AU story I created so well! I added details like the brick wall and the Beldam finally catching a child because these aspects weren’t ever included in the movie. I really wanted to make sure you got to see what I think is the most frightening part about Coraline that never got shown to us (What happens after the buttons are sewn in)
NGL, this has to be the most depressing out of all of her villain AU songs, Coraline didn't even become evil, just possessed by the Beldam and now she's basically unstoppable since no one's left to stop her 😢 Great song Milkyy!
This special power the Beldam has makes me wonder if her old form is really her first. Maybe Coraline wasn’t the first to outsmart her. Also everything about this animatic is amazing and you totally pulled me back into the Coraline world!
When we look at it... She has eaten only three souls, as we know. Yet she is here since hundreds of years (an analysis of the book reveals that the first boy might come from the 16th-17th century). And she visibly tries to get a child every two generations or so (her last soul being the twin sister of Wybie's grandmother). Plus, I don't think that Coraline has done anything particular to outsmart the beldam. She wasn't really special, so perhaps the beldam isn't that powerful after all. I mean, she got a lot of limitations : having to sew the buttons, having the kids to consent to it... Having kids outsmart her doesn't seem like a particularly crazy scenario. The scary part of it is that she returns everytime, even though there is "only one key"
@@rosae_rosae_rosa You're right, the beldam's biggest downfall is any child that resists to the buttons like Coraline. It's almost strange that the cat was never able to get the key from Coraline, but maybe this special power the Beldam has makes the affected very attached to both the key and house while she's waiting. After all, there's no reason why someone like Coraline wouldn't have wanted to simply destroy the house, along with the door, if they really wanted to stop her for good.
One thing I noticed that I haven't seen anyone talk about yet is when Jeremy first enters the Other World he has a pilot hat on. And so When the Other Mother is convincing Jeremy to sew buttons on his eyes she does so by sending a toy airplane to deliver the box. It's so subtle but it shows how the Beldam will find out what the kid is interested in and uses it against them. I can't stop watching this despite how haunting and creepy it is. You sang it so well and the artist did an amazing job at creeping me out lol!
That song was horrifying and heartbreaking. It broke me especially with Jeremy because I hoped that this poor cute kid could somehow escape 😭…what a great song and animatic!
He should have refused the offer like coroline before she cant kill him unless he agree to remove his eyes hes a ghost now with her hm this is alternative through in the movie she never was scratched or keeped the key so she never became this
A great detail is that Coraline keeps the key instead of getting rid of it like in the movie. That how you know the Beldam's infection/control is has her in its clutches from the start, before she even became an adult.
The first time I saw this without context, I thought Jeremy was Coraline's son, and it made it even more heartbreaking, because ¿can you imagine that thing Coraline protected and loved for many years being taken away from her because of her greatest fear? undoubtedly a bitter revenge on the part of the Beldam I really love your work! It makes my day every time I see that you have uploaded a new song with a story, you always bring visual masterpieces and for my ears too the way you combined both melodies and made them even more chilling, sad and terrifying is absolutely amazing ¡And your voice!, I never tire of saying it, always transmits the right emotions that pierce my skin and make me completely immerse myself in the story. ¡Very good job! 🖤
Honestly i super love the horror aspects and sinister vibe the song has the minute she reveals herself properly to Jeremy, the vocals, the visuals all of it so well done. The sense of helplessness that is shown in Jeremy’s perspective is so incredibly powerful, it shows that he truly has no escape from this fate. The way the Other mothers jaw unhinges is so utterly terrifying it sent tingles down my spine. The animators outdid themselves here and the song was even better. I don’t typically comment but this definitely deserved one❤ keep doing what you do milky
Thank you Johan I’m glad you enjoyed the sinister vibe of this AU! I really appreciate your kind words and I will continue to work hard on this series 😄
@@Animefan-ty4vt well this is still the Beldam just in Coraline's body. I have a feeling that after being defeated she is going to be way more sadistic
I love this so much! Coraline is one of my favorite stories and seeing this is an absolute delight! You really make your voice absolutely haunting for the Other Mother! Stellar animatic work too! I love it!
@@MilkyyMelodies how do coralline become the next beldam and what happened to her arm? Also found it a bit chilling or creepy in a good way (hope I didn’t offend) how coralline seems to change over time and also the song how beautiful and low your voice is fits perfectly. 😊 Oh whatever happened to wybie ?
The Beldam takes the shape of the child’s mother, hence why she looked like Coraline’s mother when she was there, and she looked like Coraline when her son is there. That is why she is “the other mother”
You think Coraline would have told her son this story, and he wouldn't be so easily lead astray. Having said that, this it beautifully animated and the 🎵 is haunting a creepy in all the best ways. Well done
I agree. Especially since coralline survived by the skin of her teeth. But- the beldam lures the kids in by giving them what they lack in the human world. So was coraline not giving any attention to her kid? And also, wouldn’t coraline move out of the pink palace the first chance she got?
according to the description that's not coraline's kid- she never had kids, adopted or otherwise. that's someone ELSE'S kid. and Coraline is the new Beldam, hence blue hair.
Okay, but the fact this is actually haunting? The art, the music, the lyrics / singing, and the story. I genuinely keep watching this. It's also so easy to feel bad or intrigued by the characters. LIKE MAN I NEED TO KNOW LITTLE JEREMY IS OKAY (I know he ain't) It's spooky. Ominous and it just sets off alarm bells despite the comfortable slow pace. It's so good. Please continue making stuff like this 🙏 its literally captivating.
The animation in this video is otherworldly. Seriously. The transition at 0:35, the smooth animation of sewing and turning the button between fingers... Ahhh, I could watch this forever. And the fantastic voice, of course
Story 1: When coraline was a kid, she was haunted by the other mother, and she threw the hand off of her, but it scratched her arm, which made her arm get cursed meaning she would have nightmares and it started effecting her vines and years past and she was having a heart attack so she ran to the mirror and the other mother took control of her and Wybie moved into the place as a single father of the boy named Jeremy and Jeremy just like coraline went into the portal tube because he was curious just like Coraline was. Once Jeremy got there when he saw Coraline he was frightened at first but when she was being friendly and caring he felt loved since he didn't have a mother and she felt like his mother and he didn't know the buttons were a trick but he nods because he thought they would go on his coat and then she uses magic to make him fall asleep and sews the buttons into his eyes and then when he wakes up he got frightened because the buttons were in his eyes meaning he couldn't see and because she looked different then before so he tried running but he kept falling into walls and got caught and becomes the next other father or the other brother. [10 likes for story 2]
I felt like I watched an entire movie! The “Sleep!” freaked me out bad lol, wasn’t expecting it. The ending part of the song was so so good, in a gut-wrenching, in despair kinda way. 10/10 no notes (The art too! Gorgeously unnerving)
Side note: There’s an official description of this alternate universe in the video’s description, but I thought it’d be fun to put my take on it! Basically, this is my take on what’s going on: In the original movie, Coraline and Wybie got rid of the hand and threw it in the well, but in here the hand managed to cut her and somehow infect her which is why her veins were turning black. I’m assuming that the Beldam (Other mother) has to infect someone else in order for the curse of the Beldam to continue, and in this case Coraline was infected so that the curse would live past her other mother’s death. It’d be strange to have an other mother that was simply a child, so I assume that’s why the transformation took place when she was an adult - but as for why Coraline stood in the house, I assume the following: In the end of the movie, the children say she’s not out of danger and if I’m not mistaken there’s a scene showing the hand making it’s way out of the well, so maybe Coraline kept the key and guarded the house thinking the Beldam would return. What she didn’t know is that she was the Beldam. At the scene in this video where she’s looking in the mirror, the infection seems to go into full effect and her eyes turn bright blue as her face loses expression because she’s basically entranced. She unlocked the door and crawled through like a moth to a flame and couldn’t control herself and that’s when she becomes the new Beldam of the house and we see the events ensue with Jeremy. Another note: Jeremy’s other mother has blue hair meaning that Coraline became the Beldam before the events of the song and we were simply getting flashbacks. Thanks to any of you who read my blurb! 😂
I totally agree, especially at the shot when Coraline crawls through the door and onto the other side and we get this really fluid bit of animation where what looks like the other mother is taking her true form. I definitely think that's Coraline's body contorting and twisting into her new form, that of the Beldam.
Just making sure I got this right: The New Beldam is Coraline, yeah? Her soul was implanted in Coraline's body, hence the cracks like the Beldam's. So she got a new body, Coraline, and Jeremy in the end
Okay but the singing is absolutely Legendary and actually feels like a creepy song instead of those happily go lucky types of fan made songs. Great job!
Ok so the original movie never scared me, i always found it comforting tbh. But this, this scared the hell out of me and i loved every second of it. Thank you so much for making this work of ART
@@Mespoina I don't think I can find it anymore, plus it's in my language(not English) on our local fanfic site, so I'm afraid it would be difficult. But the point was that Coraline had to kill other mother, but because of this she remained locked in another world, and became her replacement. This was written based on the fact that the other mother herself in the original(not the cartoon) mentioned that she buried her own mother alive or something like that, I don’t remember well.
good lord that was amazing. i loved seeing what would happen if the buttons were allowed. the animations were beautiful, the singing also, and i even could feel that terror being trapped in that world with her.
This is amazing! The way the melody is a redo of Other Father's from the movie, the art, your voice, EVERYTHING! I love these AUs so much, and I love reading their details in the descriptions!
This was pretty scary 😨 It felt like straight up horror and you made the Beldam really terrifying . Brrrrr It's so cool to finally have something of a sequel to Coraline . You did a fantastic spooky job with this , Milkyy . The illustrations in this are so cool and haunting . Happy Halloween ^^🎃
2:28 The secret ending theory: so Jeremy has button eyes now, and he cry’s to get out, but the door is now bricks, witch means he’s part of the other world…
Quick suggestion: what about retelling of "Family Madrigal" where Mirabel spills all the family secrets and reveals how they all secretly hate each other? That'd be interesting as hell, a total twist on the original vibe of the song
Ok, but I can't be the only one who got chills from this, right? Like, the fact that MilkyyMelodies is able to make me almost cry in her other two alternate videos, (Beautiful masterpieces btw. Go check them out if you haven't) but she can also make a video this creepy? That is pure talent and I'm here for it! Great job! Poor Jeremy though. I think he's the only one who, by the end of this, doesn't like the song.
A masterpiece! Coraline is a movie that I really enjoy, and this song really worked well for it. You have a lovely voice too, I recently discovered your videos, and I must say, you are quite incredible. You truly give the Other Mother a wonderfully eerie vibe with your voice. Excellent animatic work as well. I adore it. I'll be waiting for the next one, so keep it up. ❤❤❤❤
Man I seriously shuddered watching this, poor coraline instead of throwing the key away she kept it and the cut made by the beldam slowly took over her until the beldam possessed her making her go through the door then taking over her entirely. Later we see the beldam in the form of coraline lure in another innocent child jeremy, basically up to her same old tricks and was successful sewing buttons into his eyes, then we see him stumbling around desperate to get away but struggling to do so with the sewn buttons and then we see the beldam slowly following behind him knowing she's won, then we see that the door is bricked up like it is on the other side really cements that escape is impossible, then we see the the beldam above jeremy mouth and fangs elongated seconds away from pouncing to devoure jeremy. In this au the cycle of the beldam luring and devouring childrens souls continues, hopefully someone clever and witty as coraline stops her but this time throws the key away forever.
For my mental and emotional stability, I will pretend that I never heard or saw this video and imagine that Jeremy managed to escape. The song is gloomily beautiful, but my depressed heart can't stand that Jeremy wasn't saved in the end (THAT'S IT MOM, I FOLLOWED A FICTIONAL CHARACTER) 😢😢
This AU is horrifying, and I really like horror. I actually headcanon that Coraline is next to become something like the Beldam, like a curse passed on to whomever enters the other world and survives.
This movie horrified me as a kid, always had nightmares about that entrance... Seeing the animation, the song, and the plot behind this, it just reminded me why this movie was truly one of its own. How other mother possessed Coraline with the mirror was a nice touch and reference to the actual movie, how she's finally got her after all of this time..
This honestly wouldve felt like it would be canon if Coraline was careless with the ghost children’s warning and never throwing the key away.. Well done girl! 💞
My question is: why did the Beldam revert to her old skeletal body when she had Coraline's? I get the whole 'it's scarier' factor, but aside from lack of exercise or a balanced diet, Coraline's body was healthy. Of course this question is based off of the theories from Matpat's videos on Coraline, in that the reason the Beldam looks like that bc she's starving from having been denied a soul to steal.
Legit gives me the best chills. This is perfect for people obsessed with Coraline and the creepiness and chilling horror mixed with fantasy, you did so perfect!
Ok I don't know if anyone made this comment, but I'm starting to believe that this could have actually happened if Coraline hadn't told Wybie about the other world or just didn't believed her. Nice song I felt a lot of nostalgia listening to it.👍👏👏👏
Well, basically the song and the animation fascinated me and I really loved them a lot. Seriously, Coraline's lore is extensive but at the same time incredible, it's a shame that there was never a sequel and, above all, an animated series worth watching since the concept is very interesting. The movie is wonderful, it's a shame that it hadn't been extended enough since there would be more new characters and more new enemies, it's above all a dominant species like the witch Beldam, But well, leaving that aside, he told me with great intrigue while watching this video because if he didn't marry Wavi, then she was alone in the Rosa palace house and well, I imagine that she suffered from great depression due to the death of her parents and also of her neighbors because she considered them like family to her and unfortunately they didn't last forever and she had to live alone but why didn't she marry wavi, maybe he moved to another country or worse still died, it left me with a great intrigue as to what It must have happened to her best friend since in the movie he defended her from the witch and as for this he did not defend her and she already had to defend herself. It left me totally intrigued about this and by the way I liked the video you made, you would have done it starry for Halloween would be great but hey you didn't let us wait for days until Halloween arrives obviously but things are already on purpose I love your video and above all your music is very catchy but at the same time beautiful and very gloomy.
Its such a shame there will never be a next movie to tell what happened after the movie ended and this song perfectly captures the same energy from the movie into a song
Oh my god, the music is fantastic but the side profile of the Beldam's grin after she sews the buttons. Also loving the parallel of the wall behind his door at the end.
Absolutely beautiful! A masterpiece! I'm a big fan of Coraline and I think this song did so good for it! You also sing beautiful too! I'll be watching for more thank you for making such a amazing song!
This song sound so GOOOD, with all of that Creepiness. And. . . I realize something. Its all become real *Dark,* when you realize that "Other Mom" - its alweys a "Other look" of Real mom. "Other mom" here is Coraline, but in the same time she is Real. What's meen. . . Jeremy, the boy of this song, was technically killed and eated by. . . His own *Real* mom.
I-- I honestly cannot quite find the words to describe just how much I _absolutely love this!!_ I love the story here! I love the music! I love the vocals! _I love the art!!_ _GAH,_ this is perfect!! :D
I really like how the Happy go Lucky cheerful music from the Other father song, Is replaced with somber and very much like send-off music you would hear in a funeral, which the pitch of voice also matches. And very much so, because that peach, that DOLL Jeremy. Is now dead like one.
@@MilkyyMelodiesokay, but in other hand, i refuse to see my little boy crying alone to be eaten. Now i'm gonna beat the crap out of Coral-dam and become his new mother, even thought i'm a guy.
I love everything about this! The subtleties are what makes this perfect! I think what makes this song so horrifying is that it sounds perfect for a lullaby, something you would play for a child. But pay attention to the lyrics and what’s happening on screen and it’s pure horror. I feel so bad for Coraline, to have gone through all that effort to get rid of the Beldam, only to become the very thing she feared. And to use the songs that were once sung to her on another child 🥲 Everything about this song is just perfect
This may be a bit off topic but I'd do unimaginable things to hear you sing a proper cover of The Other Father's Song bc your voice is so soothing for it oh my god, its like a twisted lullaby and I'm obsessed.
Tbh I think this would be an amazing sequel and even though he has button eyes I think Jeremy would find a way to save himself and Coraline someway somehow from the curse of the Beldam .

@@ilikewildcanines-xg7le Actually, he yelped after he pricked his finger, because the other mother kicked him from under the table for saying that.

I think that they just sow it on top on the eyes
This song is absolutely fantastic, but it is the animatic that conveys the story and ultimately makes it shine.
The visuals are stunning, I especially love the usage of colours and blue undertones that always surround Coraline. Her "possessed" eyes are extremely beautiful. At first, I was confused about the plot, but after reading the description, it becomes apparent that Coraline's and Jeremy's stories are separate and happen at different times,
You conveyed Beldam's sinister nature perfectly.
I LOVE IT SO MUCH TOO!
It's also super impressive that in this home the kid just moved into he made it all the way back to the tiny door BLIND!
Based on the summary, it sounds like Jeremy doesn't have a mother. He has a father mentioned, but maybe he was starving for some motherly love.
I really wanted to make sure you got to see what I think is the most frightening part about Coraline that never got shown to us (What happens after the buttons are sewn in)
Poor Jeremy. I wished he could have been saved and what happened to Coraline’s arm? Why is it bent?
What? Elbows?
I think it's to show her being infected by the beldam after getting scratched by the hand
I think its like a reflection
Coraline in this au became the Beldam
@@AndromedaNull
Well... That explains the blue hair, then.
NGL, this has to be the most depressing out of all of her villain AU songs, Coraline didn't even become evil, just possessed by the Beldam and now she's basically unstoppable since no one's left to stop her 😢
Great song Milkyy!
This special power the Beldam has makes me wonder if her old form is really her first. Maybe Coraline wasn’t the first to outsmart her. Also everything about this animatic is amazing and you totally pulled me back into the Coraline world!
Maybe
@@rosae_rosae_rosajeremy is now a ghost like the children coraline freed before
@@rosae_rosae_rosaand the cat her friend were is he if he seen what she became would he stop fix it this would be hell for coraline either way
One thing I noticed that I haven't seen anyone talk about yet is when Jeremy first enters the Other World he has a pilot hat on.
He should have refused the offer like coroline before she cant kill him unless he agree to remove his eyes hes a ghost now with her hm this is alternative through in the movie she never was scratched or keeped the key so she never became this
But coraline i guess jeremy liked her to much so he agreed
He was a good meal id say 10 0utta 10
A great detail is that Coraline keeps the key instead of getting rid of it like in the movie. That how you know the Beldam's infection/control is has her in its clutches from the start, before she even became an adult.
The first time I saw this without context, I thought Jeremy was Coraline's son, and it made it even more heartbreaking, because ¿can you imagine that thing Coraline protected and loved for many years being taken away from her because of her greatest fear? undoubtedly a bitter revenge on the part of the Beldam
I really love your work! It makes my day every time I see that you have uploaded a new song with a story, you always bring visual masterpieces and for my ears too
the way you combined both melodies and made them even more chilling, sad and terrifying is absolutely amazing
¡And your voice!, I never tire of saying it, always transmits the right emotions that pierce my skin and make me completely immerse myself in the story.
¡Very good job! 🖤
Same I thought that was her son
I too
Honestly i super love the horror aspects and sinister vibe the song has the minute she reveals herself properly to Jeremy, the vocals, the visuals all of it so well done.

I feel like if coraline wasn't a kids film, it would've ended like this. I honestly adore this idea, it really makes Beldam more of a threat
Did Coraline really became the new other mother?
I think she did 😰
The other mother changed to Coraline because Coraline had a child and she wanted to lure it
Reading the description above, sounds like she did turn into the other mother
The Beldam takes the shape of the child’s mother, hence why she looked like Coraline’s mother when she was there, and she looked like Coraline when her son is there. That is why she is “the other mother”
@@dariusurbanovic6797she didn't have a child, Jeremy moved in with his father after she "disappeared"
You think Coraline would have told her son this story, and he wouldn't be so easily lead astray. Having said that, this it beautifully animated and the 🎵 is haunting a creepy in all the best ways. Well done
This is some random family’s kid. The Beldam took over her body
I agree. Especially since coralline survived by the skin of her teeth. But- the beldam lures the kids in by giving them what they lack in the human world. So was coraline not giving any attention to her kid? And also, wouldn’t coraline move out of the pink palace the first chance she got?

Okay, but the fact this is actually haunting?
The art, the music, the lyrics / singing, and the story.
I genuinely keep watching this. It's also so easy to feel bad or intrigued by the characters. LIKE MAN I NEED TO KNOW LITTLE JEREMY IS OKAY (I know he ain't)
It's spooky. Ominous and it just sets off alarm bells despite the comfortable slow pace. It's so good. Please continue making stuff like this 🙏 its literally captivating.
OK, this scared the living hell out of me I don’t know why the original movie didn’t scare me, but this did
The animation in this video is otherworldly.

Waiting....
Hey, how about story 2?
It’s terrifying because we see how the children would act if they chose the buttons and how it would work
I felt like I watched an entire movie! The “Sleep!” freaked me out bad lol, wasn’t expecting it. The ending part of the song was so so good, in a gut-wrenching, in despair kinda way. 10/10 no notes
(The art too! Gorgeously unnerving)
Ditto with the "Sleep" bit. Man! What a jump scare.
It also makes sense that the beldam would do that, don't want them struggling after all.
I got over my fear of this film 4 years ago and with this you somehow managed to make me even more scared of her. Love the song and great job
👁️👄👁️🔫👈 I am now fully scared of Coraline again.
Side note: There’s an official description of this alternate universe in the video’s description, but I thought it’d be fun to put my take on it!
Basically, this is my take on what’s going on:
In the original movie, Coraline and Wybie got rid of the hand and threw it in the well, but in here the hand managed to cut her and somehow infect her which is why her veins were turning black.
Your description fits perfectly with this video. It's exactly what i thought.
Wait there's a scene where the hand is crawling out of the well? Where?
I totally agree, especially at the shot when Coraline crawls through the door and onto the other side and we get this really fluid bit of animation where what looks like the other mother is taking her true form. I definitely think that's Coraline's body contorting and twisting into her new form, that of the Beldam.
@@I_love_kitten_ no its a Mandela effect
Just making sure I got this right: The New Beldam is Coraline, yeah? Her soul was implanted in Coraline's body, hence the cracks like the Beldam's. So she got a new body, Coraline, and Jeremy in the end
Also because her hair went from black to BLUE like Coraline’s

@@Mespoina I don't think I can find it anymore, plus it's in my language(not English) on our local fanfic site, so I'm afraid it would be difficult. But the point was that Coraline had to kill other mother, but because of this she remained locked in another world, and became her replacement. This was written based on the fact that the other mother herself in the original(not the cartoon) mentioned that she buried her own mother alive or something like that, I don’t remember well.

Thank you very much! I’m glad you discovered my videos and like them 😄
Man I seriously shuddered watching this, poor coraline instead of throwing the key away she kept it and the cut made by the beldam slowly took over her until the beldam possessed her making her go through the door then taking over her entirely. In this au the cycle of the beldam luring and devouring childrens souls continues, hopefully someone clever and witty as coraline stops her but this time throws the key away forever.
its so gothically, horrifyingly, tragically beautiful ! your songs are amazing !
That was the vibe I was going for!
That look through the button holes was absolutely terrifying 😱
This AU is horrifying, and I really like horror. I actually headcanon that Coraline is next to become something like the Beldam, like a curse passed on to whomever enters the other world and survives.
This movie horrified me as a kid, always had nightmares about that entrance... Seeing the animation, the song, and the plot behind this, it just reminded me why this movie was truly one of its own.
How other mother possessed Coraline with the mirror was a nice touch and reference to the actual movie, how she's finally got her after all of this time..
That first "making up a song about Jeremy" is so haunting
Coraline is and has been my favorite movie ever since I first saw it. It’s amazing the fan base there still is for it! Also love the music!!
This honestly wouldve felt like it would be canon if Coraline was careless with the ghost children’s warning and never throwing the key away..
Well done girl! 💞
This gave me goosebumps. The song the artography of the animatic *shudders* SO GOOD
That’s sad that Jeremy almost escaped he had a chance to leave before coralline put buttons in his eyes 😭😭😭😭😭
Nice song I felt a lot of nostalgia listening to it.👍👏👏👏
¡ESTA ES UNA OBRA MAESTRA! Sentí un escalofrío de emoción al ver esta animación, la canción es impresionante en cada momento, la historia es atrapante y el concepto fascinante. As if the Beldam didn’t already have enough comparisons to Pennywise from IT; that shot of her mouth and teeth growing was just perfect.
