I see everyone else has beat Andrew up about the lavender comment. LOL I ordered the JW Black long-range for the belt drive. Owning the XP Trike for a year and I just don't use it because it is very cumbersome for negotiating the plethora of potholes around town. This will be sweet for getting around more easily. Nice! Plus is that I have both tow-bars with hitch for the pup cart because I preordered the wag along before the trike bar was available and I got a freebie upgrade. The Tibetan Spaniels were miserable in the pup cart as I tried to dodge potholes for both the trike and their cart. This will be easier for trips to the trailhead. They timed the introduction sale of the XP Lite 2.0 perfectly to rope me in on it.
I really love the lavender color but apparently you only get the belt drive if it’s black :/ I’m all for less maintenance over color, so I preordered the black. It’ll be my first e-bike /adult bike in general, so I hope I like it
I recently received my Lectric XP Lite 2.0 JW and have been riding it for about 3 weeks. I’ve noticed a few issues, like my throttle only works when I am in peddle assist level 2 or higher, but it’s not very strong. Additionally, when I am on a mild incline for a sustained period, the motor shuts off (including the display and lights) and only returns after a few minutes. Lastly, although I have the long-range battery, I do NOT get the 80-miles that is claimed on Lectric’s website. I contacted Lectric about this issue to see if this was normal and they didn’t answer my question, but told me to check all of the connections, which I did and everything appears to be connected correctly. However, the issues persist. Full disclosure: I’m 65 years old, 5’9”, 250 lbs and only ride in the paved bike path near my home for an average of 10-miles a day. QUESTION: Is this normal for this e-bike? Does anyone else have this issue?

I bought a white 2.0 today. They had white and black. I don't need the gates belt. The other colors in a month. I only live 4 hours north of Phoenix, and I should get it quick. It'll be my 2nd folder.
Great video Andrew. Have been watching a few of them. I know you did a review on the Gotrax F1 2.0 as well. Compared with the XP Lite 2.0 which one do you prefer most and why? And which one feels more powerful for the hills?
How easy is it to maintain a speed around 6-7Mph? Sometimes I ride with a group of non ebikers and all the reviews show is trying to get to max speed. I'm more interested in how well does it handle variable desired speeds?
Loved your review❤. I'm new to the electric bike world. I've not ridden a regular bike in years and I live with lower body muscle weakness.. Do you get much exercise in on a 1-speed electric bike? Anybody?
$799 isnt cheap in the budget ebike space like it used to be, so it has to be improved even at that price point. I have a pair of Lectric 1.0s and no real complaints so far, but back then you couldn't buy much under $1k and now there are countless options, even at $600. You can't go wrong here as any decent ebike like this is a hundred times more comfortable and enjoyable than an old school human-powered bike for the majority of riders. If you are on the fence regarding buying an ebike, just buy one (whatever your budget). Especially if you are a little handy when it comes to maintenance and possible repairs.
It’s a nice looking ebike. It looks like it weighs half the amount it actually does which is a minus Respectfully. I like that they made the 300 watt peak higher, but hopefully in the next batch they can offer a much lighter ebike with a higher peak wattage.
I had the original xplite and it was nice and light and and fun at first, but I wished they would keep the bmx design but a 500w motor and upgraded controller with a bigger battery. Would it be heavier? Yes it would but I just can’t do 20mph of anything anymore. It just takes entirely too long to get anywhere. If this bike could do at least 25mph that would feel like a huge difference. With their other bikes they have no problem with giving more power but the trade off is you look like you’re on something your grandparents would ride. Just swap everything that’s in their top tier bikes and put it in a bmx frame and you have a winner. The look, speed and power would be there.
I really want black, I'm just not sure I want a belt drive. I don't feel the chain on a single drive bike was really ever a problem.. plus a replacement chain vs a replacement belt I'm sure is a big cost difference.
A belt drive will last up to 10,000 miles and require little to no maintenance. A belt drive is really nice to have and it makes the bike smooth and quiet.
I liked this video, but disappointed that he did not show how to get the battery in and out. Friends tried to help me with this, we spent a lot of time, but we could not figure it out. The book was no help and I ended up having having to spend more money by taking it to a bike shop.
Hey could you guys make a video on how to remove stem wobble on scooters like the yume 10 or just scooters that are dual fork because the locking mechanism moves around
Women aren't discouraged from e-biking because of the colour of a bike; they're most likely discouraged cos e-bikes and e-motos are made with men's dimensions in mind. Frame size, standover height, reach length to the handlebars, etc. are the things that certainly matter to me, as a woman who's 5', on a good day. And c'mon, it's 2024, not 1954; why are "girl colours" and "boy colours" even still a thing? I'm 47, and I'm already way past that outdated thinking.
It also weakens the latex tube. I had a slightly deflated tire due to a puncture by a pin. The Slime plugged up the puncture, but the tire was too soft to ride safely. When I tried to pump it up, the valve stem ripped off the tube almost immediately and I had to call for a lift home. I was pretty annoyed. I’ve since installed Tannus Armour and not put any sealant in the new tubes.
