You all are SO nice! Thank you for all the positive feedback and kind words. It was truly an experience that shaped my flying career and I'm beyond grateful I was chosen for this 😁
It's been inspiring to watch how fast you got things done since we worked together on this. I have to admit, when you beat me to IFR (after I had spent ~5 years slowly chipping away toward that rating), it kicked my butt in gear to finish it that year (ended up being Jan of 2020 that I finally got it; and I think I have you at least partially to thank for that :)
To everyone that is interested in entering to win the next one of these - the pandemic squashed plans for the short term, but stay tuned for when we announce the next one. This is definitely the sort of "giveaway" I intend to focus on in the future.
Hannah was literally the perfect person to win the experience. She's a natural fighter pilot, hell maybe we'll see her in the blue angels if she's up for it.
The "experience" award could not have gone to a more deserving person. Hannah had me laughing so hard I was tearing up. The girl has no fear what so ever. The love of flying will be be with her for LIFE! What a girl! What a series! Thanks Flight Chops and all who was part of making this whole experience possible !!! AWESOME !!
Amazing... Hannah defines the term "contagious enthusiasm". What a wonderful testimonial for the wonder of flying! And it was awesome to hear how far she's gone in aviation since then. Great stuff.
Hearing people say "This was the best flight of my life" is the best part of being a CFI. I teach tailwheel and off airport operations in Alaska and always love taking people out of their comfort zone and giving them an adventure that they will remember forever.
Right?? Now that I instruct and I'm able to give experiences to people (not at the Luke level but still!) it's even more special to me. Took one of my private students in his first tailwheel ever the other week and it was very rewarding to share and pass it on!
I am extremely impressed with Hannah’s flight progress. People who are not pilots won’t understand just how difficult it is to achieve what you’ve done in such a short time! Bravo Hannah!
I don't comment on videos often. What a great feel-good video! I had a smile on my face the whole episode. Hannah seems so timid and outside her comfort zone before she got into the plane. The flight was truly outstanding but the best was her update afterwords. Here is a young lady who had experience and has taken advantage of that learning which has given her a new focus. The update showed what looked like newfound confidence and purpose. Right on Hannah! I often think that many people just fall into their profession. Really they experience something that gives them purpose and focus. We are all privileged to witness Hannah's "aha" moment and her infectious laugh of joy. What a prize she won. Steve for the ambassador of the flying community. Thanks, Steve always entertaining and educational.
This was AWESOME!! Steve, you couldn't have picked the more perfect winner for this one! Amazing what Hannah has accomplished since this was shot! You didn't just create a spark - you started a bonfire with gasoline!! Love how she went into it full-throttle, without hesitation - that goes for flying the Extra, to pursuing her dreams. Like I replied to Hannah's post, this is the most fun I've ever had watching someone fly! This one might be #1 out of everything you've shot - just plain (plane? :D) awesome! Thanks for sharing! Made my day!
The pure joy exuded in this video was so tangible, you can't help but laugh and smile along with it. This whole series was excellent! Thank you for sharing it all!
Thanks Steve for sharing this great vid with us. That Hannah is a lovely girl and wonderful person and exactly the kind of person one would want as an aviation ambassador. I'm guessing there are some proud parents out there of that young lady. I had entered this contest, but am so glad Hannah got the opportunity, she was a way better candidate! :)
Thanks Geof. I am so gutted that we had to hold off on doing more of these "Flight Chops Experiences" through 2020, but stay tuned for when things open back up - It is super rewarding to directly involve you guys like this, and I intend to do it as often as I can.
Was great to watch how much fun she had and how extremely well she handled it all. On top of that getting all of those qualifications in such short order and just seeming to have a blast doing it. Congratulations to Hannah and look forward to future updates.
This is one of those episodes that got rewound 20+ times to catch all the nuances. Suddenly the rudder cam was the best seat in the house; formation footage was spectacular. Hannah... What. A. PRO. She was born to fly, and proving it every day of her life. Amazing, impressive and wonderful. Must admit that I'd want to love the experience... and probably would... but I know I'd end up blacked out, sick and hurting. I'd have to work up to a flight like this very gradually. I just checked; Winnepeg is only a 17 hour drive... same as my drive to Wichita, so I know I could do it in one long day. When I do, I'll definitely be contacting Travel Manitoba... they deserve huge kudos for helping make this possible.
Nice flight Hannah, that was fun! Watching the video as well (beautiful light and great videos). Now I want to fly such a small sports craft, if I could I would.
Absolutely the correct person to win that experience, very happy for her and her accomplishments so far, and I'm sure she is not done yet. You go girl, the world is yours👍 Bright young people like you give this world hope for the future! Very very very cool, thank you Steve! That was awesome!
Hannah is by far the best person to have won this experience. Her excitement, wonder, and drive kept a smile on my face the entire time. Her laughter is contagious
What a great video! Hannah’s private check ride advice video gave me some much needed assurance going in that I was prepared, and seeing a fellow young pilot continue and thrive in the world of aviation is very inspiring.
I was going to say something trite like "Go Hannah!" but heck, she hit me well outta the park! Well done that lady! Fighter pilot material if ever there was!
WELL DONE!! to all concerned...Luke, Steve, Chris, Jacob, and of course, Hannah. Wonderful to have such a positive story giving us all a reason to smile.
The update at the end there was just a ridiculous testament to the level of support Flight Chops gives to the community... What an inspirational young lady to be so motivated by this "prize" truly a stellar performance to go on with so many extra ratings and successes....Awesome effort!!!
I don't know if there is someone more deserving of winning this contest. I seriously doubt there is anyone who would have appreciated it more. Congrats to Hannah, you go girl.
The 300L is one of the most fantastic flying machines ever created. The only "issue" I'd found is when you chute up, strap in, and find that the keys are still in your jeans pocket. That airplane is almost like it is wired into your brain, a perfect flying machine, albeit not the best IFR platform. However, since (in the USA) it is certificated for VFR-day only, that's not really an issue.
Oh man, so many good vibes in these last two episodes! Last time, that sense of accomplishment and (humble) pride for being trusted the plane for a ride on their own, and this time the sheer joy and surprise of just discovering it all and even trying some of it out for themselves! I've thoroughly enjoyed both of these episodes.
It will be a memory that will last a lifetime. I remember my 1st aerobatic flight like it was yesterday instead of 1971. Love to see the joy on your face!! Bravo Zulu on your whirlwind training progress!!
I always enjoy your videos but Hannah’s infectious laugh had me in tears laughing so hard! Loved every minute! Thanks for all your content and congrats Hannah on your advancing career!
This is the most positive and joyfull video i have seen in quiet a while. i don't fly, but it was heartwarming to see the pleasure this flight did to the young pilot. great job, flight chops to make events like this happen. even for someone who is rather scared of flying this chanel is always a pleasure to watch. you manage to bring together people who realy can comunicate the pation for what they do.
Holy s#!t, this is inspiring! I also put off flight training for years out of the "I'm probably not good enough..." syndrome. I finally started last fall and am about 25 hours into PPL training...and now it looks like a tailwheel endorsement and some acrobatic instruction will be in my future! Congrats Hannah!
Smiling the entire time i watched it, that was so fun to watch. Hannah is lucky to have won that. Also, Hannah, if you see this, congrats on placing second then first, and all the additional certs and keep up the good work.
This is just amazing! I'm on the XC portion of my PPL and never thought about aerobatics at all, but after being exposed to these kind of videos and binge watching all Sean D. Tucker vids I think I have the bug! Loved these videos for so long I just became a Patreon, keep up the GREAT work Mr FlightChops
enjoyed watching Hannah's experience - Ive flown the 300 and loved it as much as she has - she's impressive with all her additional ratings since the experience too - I think its safe to say - she's hooked - good for her
What an awesome video. She has so much passion for aviation. I took my 10 year old daughter flying with me for the first time a few weeks ago and it's amazing to see how experiences like this can have such a positive experience. Really awesome job and inspirational for our young female aviators.
So loved this episode Steve. Brought me back to many of the Burlington flights and you discovering tailwheel with the Cub & Steerman. Hannah's joy & wonder in finding a totally new aviation thrill was totally amazing. Of the many great places FlightChops has taken us, this one was really special. Thanks so much!
Seeing Hannah do this and watching her grasp the pure joy of flight brought me o tears. Bravo Zulu, Hannah! Same to Steve and all for making tis happen. Hannah will be able to influence many new pilots!
Why is there always one TOOL that has to give a thumbs down for these videos? How can anybody hate on what that kid has accomplished ? If this vlog doesn't prove to all of us why we love aviation and what it felt like the first time we achieved the goal of flight , then I don't know what does. Hats off to her and FlightChops for making it happen. I hope to accomplish half of what she's done in such a short amount of time.
-- Everything about this video is absolutely rewarding; visual, audio, editing. Hannah's reactions accentuated the entire experience. 'Loved it! Thank you.
Steve this might be your best episode yet, or one of the best at least. The story is great, the lighting and the editing are perfect and Hannah is clearly made for this!
Well, that made me incredibly happy! Great video, thanks for bringing this sort of content to us Steve. Hannah - I don't think it could've gone to anyone more deserving.
This is what aviation is all about! Steve you got a gift of connecting people all around the globe and making them smile, this was awesome and Hannah will always have an incredible reminder thanks to you and your team.
Beautiful Hannah's uncontrolable giggling says alot. Without a doubt the best episode out of this series Steve. Well done on all your aviation achievements thus far Hannah and Steve for that matter. I really do enjoy your editing sir.
Hats off to whoever picked Hannah as the winner of your prize. Not only did you guys give her a really special opportunity, but she siezed it with both hands and it was a total joy to watch her soaking it up. I've been exposed to aeros in a less extreme aircraft and well know that it can be an uncomfortable and tiring experience, however exhilarating it may be. The video update at the end added the cherry on top of a real feelgood episode.
Incredible episode!! Overjoyed to see excitement and skills being perfectly applied. Impressed by the raw talent to drive forward so quickly. Well done Steve and Hanna!!
So glad Hannah was the winner. She enjoyed it so much, it couldn't have been better spent. Now if we could get reactions like that from AOPA plane giveaway winners 🤠
Great episode!!!!! This is in my top 5 favorite FlightChops episodes now. The pure fun and happiness she showed during the flight was really neat. I think I had a smile on the whole time. If this doesn't inspire someone to pursue their pilot's license, I don't know what will. Congrats Hannah on the progress you've made since this was shot!
Hannah is amazing, love to hear about her progress, and she also do real well on camera, she's a natural! :D Cheers to you Hannah and hope you get even more success and fun going forward! And hope to see you on the tubes more as well! :D
You all are SO nice! Thank you for all the positive feedback and kind words. It was truly an experience that shaped my flying career and I'm beyond grateful I was chosen for this 😁
I was smiling from ear to ear watching this episode! Congrats Hannah
I was laughing along with you. It was a lot of fun. My Archer is no comparison but it reminded me of my daughters first flight.
@@FlightChops aw happy to hear that Steve :) let's compete together when the borders open up please!
This series means more now that we know Hannah didn't just stop at the thrill ride. So glad the experience went to her.
Yes thats definitely true
Absolutely agree.
Hannah was literally the perfect person to win the experience. She's a natural fighter pilot, hell maybe we'll see her in the blue angels if she's up for it.
Hands down, my all-time favorite FlightChops episode! That was so much fun to watch!
100% Agree!
200% Agree!
There's nothing purer than genuine joy and excitement.
AWESOME !!
LOL Hannah was a riot. Not sure why but when Luke asked if she had any loose change in her pockets and responded with "I wish" I belly laughed.
She has what it takes to be a fighter pilot easily. She's out there winning competitions already! WOW
You beat me to it! She's got fighter pilot written all over her.
You both beat me to it...first words I thought of were Right Stuff & Wow!
Hannah, you go girl!
Amazing... Hannah defines the term "contagious enthusiasm". What a wonderful testimonial for the wonder of flying! And it was awesome to hear how far she's gone in aviation since then. Great stuff.
Couldn't agree more!

The pure joy exuded in this video was so tangible, you can't help but laugh and smile along with it. This whole series was excellent! Thank you for sharing it all!
Kudos to Hannah; she's a natural stick. Most people overcontrol it all over the sky when first taking the 300's stick.
I cheered so loud for her that I woke up my kids...! One of the best, most inspiring videos out there! Such an infectious smile!!!
Haha - awesome! (sorry kids :)
Total respect for everything that Hannah has achieved. The payout for hard work and believing in yourself. You rock!
That video made me happy. Not very often you see so much genuine joy....
Hannah was so much the right person to win this. Her enthusiasm was a joy to see and she was so grateful at the end of the flight.

Yeah she handled that like an F-16 pilot, what a awesome girl! :D
What a great winner of the FC competition. Hannah is a true asset to aviation!
Steve/Luke/Hannah, thank you! Is this the best aviation video on the internet?!?! Congrats and good luck Hannah!
Our pleasure!
I’m so glad Hannah got this opportunity, seems like she was the perfect person to make the most of it! Good job Hannah! (You too Steve)

I watch all flight Chops videos but this one is the first I ever commented, great story ! Great quality editing and story line A+
Probably the best aviation video I have ever seen her family will be so proud. Well done go girl.
What a great video! Hannah’s private check ride advice video gave me some much needed assurance going in that I was prepared, and seeing a fellow young pilot continue and thrive in the world of aviation is very inspiring.

Best video of the year! The total joy and excitement was awesome!
Go Hannah! You are truly an inspiration to me as a student pilot, the sponge! 😎
I was either laughing or smiling through this entire episode. Winning that contest changed her life. Can't ask for a more deserving winner than that!
The update at the end there was just a ridiculous testament to the level of support Flight Chops gives to the community... What an inspirational young lady to be so motivated by this "prize" truly a stellar performance to go on with so many extra ratings and successes....Awesome effort!!!

Amazing video mate. It’s nice to be reminded about the pure joy of flying that you see in new pilots.
I always enjoy your videos but Hannah’s infectious laugh had me in tears laughing so hard! Loved every minute! Thanks for all your content and congrats Hannah on your advancing career!
You were a worthy winner Hannah. Well done from South Africa!
I wish there was a way to give multiple thumbs up!
I bet the aerobatics pilot never had a newbie as excited to do aerobatics as Hannna.
What a dynamic duo!
Well done Hanna and best wishes.
Hannah for the win! Very well done!
Wow! Way to go, Hannah! That's impressive progress!
Great job Hannah. Such joy and passion had me smiling along with you. I lived vicariously through you.
Holy s#!t, this is inspiring! I also put off flight training for years out of the "I'm probably not good enough..." syndrome. Incredible. Jealous, but she seems like the best to win! Can't wait to fly up and meet Luke! And then see polar bears in Churchill...
Looking forward to meeting you too Brian. The polar bears can’t be missed ! So cool to see them in the wild !
This video literally brought tears of joy to my eyes! What an infectious laugh Hannah has. All the best for your aviation future, Hannah!

Great episode, kudos to Hannah and would love to get some stick time with the instructor. Will have to put it on the bucket list.
What an awesome video. She has so much passion for aviation. I took my 10 year old daughter flying with me for the first time a few weeks ago and it's amazing to see how experiences like this can have such a positive experience. Really awesome job and inspirational for our young female aviators.
Her enthusiasm made this one of the best videos you've done. That was AWESOME! She has a bright future ahead of her. Glad she won. Nice Job, Hannah!
Been waiting for this epsiode for so long. Love it! Thanks Steve, congrats Hannah!

That is the look and sound of pure joy! I love it.
Maybe the best flight video i've ever seen, and I've seen many! Hanna's genuine excitement is palpable and infectious! Awesome! Thank you
Wow, thank you!

Why are my eyes leaking....must be because she flew into the smoke? Awsome Hannah, keep up that hard work!
Wow.. she’s super relaxed and pretty dam capable.. twinkle rolls on her first aero flight.. respect
She’s kicking butt! Good for her, glad she won.
So cool how this one event changed her aviation story! I need to hang out at St. Andrews more often just to watch the action.
The correct person won.
Cheers to you Hannah and hope you get even more success and fun going forward! And hope to see you on the tubes more as well! :D
I am getting happy just watching this. Thanks FlightChops.
WOW, amazing story by someone so self motivated. Congrats Hannah !!!
Wow! That totally went to the right person! I'm so happy for Hannah, and all of her accomplishments. Actually really inspiring to see!
that's so cool ...congratulations
This put a giant smile on my face. Thanks for making my week!
wow the end blew me away
