Golf is hard and falling short is tough but events like this allow us to dream. Thank you to The Open for capturing these memories and for everyone reading this who follows my channels, you make the dreaming possible ❤️
We love to see it Pete. Keep believing you can do it, you’ll kick yourself if you give up trying. Don’t look back in 20 years time and wish you’d gone for it.
Don’t stop trying, sir. You have talent and you have skill, thats the downside to having a successful YT channel, the content creation and all the management that comes with it, be it golf based or not takes up a lot of valuable practice time for a pro, theres a reason the top tour pros don’t have YT channels like yours or at all. Im sure the rest of your followers would agree that you could change some of your content type to be more around you doing comps and videoing your dedicated practice sessions and we’d all still watch and it would free up a bit of time for more dedicated practice killing two birds with one stone. Food for thought! Keep at it big guy! We all love ya. If you ever magically end up at east Horton golf club down south id love to take you on a round.
Keep it going Peter. So long as you enjoy the process why wouldn't you. Next year that putter will catch fire please God and all your followers will be delighted for you mate.
Pete always comes across as a down to earth type of guy and he feels that he has let down his followers, when he doesn't do so well but it cannot be further from the truth and we respect him for his, at times, brutal honesty when reviewing rounds. This is and has been a terrific series of videos and can't wait for the rest to be released ❤👍
Peter, Pete, Finchy, Petey baby, comes across like so many golf youtubers. Happy to tell you all day long how to play the game, what equipment to use and all in a boring matey manner. But as a golfer he couldn't hit a cow's backside with a banjo.
He is a good bloke, but he is laughably deluded about his ability. He is a million miles from qualifying. He hasn't ever even got close to getting out of regional qualifying.
@@sandersson2813 wow when are you doing your next motivational course. Using your logic maybe we all should pack the game in, would you have told Richard Bland, who took 400odd tournaments to win, that he was not good enough.
@@colinwallace2085 There's a big difference to being a proper professional golfer like Bland, with actual pro level talent and being a pipe dreaming PGA pro aimlessly trying to qualify for the open. .it's apples and oranges. How many times has Finch tried this and got nowhere near? Perhaps he should set a more realistic target, such as Europro Tour level events. Currently it's like someone from the Football Conference trying to play for Man City through an annual trial. It's ludicrous.
Been watching his series on his channel for a while now. Would be really nice to see him to qualify and see how happy he gets when his hard work pays off.
Pete, the last 4, 5 , 6 years of this quest has been some of the finest golf content i've witnessed and the 150th with normal times will be as always pure class!!!!
Such a big fan of this guy. By far my favorite Pro golfer. I am puling for you to qualify next year Peter. Keep the he great content and don't give up. You are such an inspiration to so many people.
I just started watching this channel, just a couple videos, and had not subscribed yet. Well, I just did. How can you not root for this guy?!? Keep chasing that dream Pete!
This is such an honest and open interview. We can learn as much from this vid as we can from a tips and tricks. Your personality shines through. Keep it going Peter, we love you ❤
I've said it once and I'll say it again, Peter Finch is such a lad! Honestly, finds the goodness in everything even if he'd had a couple of bad shots. Positive thinking goes a long way. Keep it up Peter!
Love the honesty from Pete. The social media storm that has followed this just shows how much pressure and expectation he is under from others. Looking forward to seeing him back next year.
Don't be so hard on yourself Peter, you're a very talented golfer I've watched you for years now . You definitely have what it takes . Love these types of vlogs ...
We all have days that are good and days not so good. But Pete you have touched thousands of lives for the better. You have given us ok golfers a reason to keep trying and learn from your years of experience. You have a big cheering gallery.
Keep it up Peter , we all need things to aspire to and there's not one golfer who wouldn't want to get on the hallowed Open . Been back in golf 7 weeks , started on 117 and now hoping to break 90 this week. Keep up with your work it is helping not just yourself but a lot of us out there plus every instruction video or blog actually is a bit of practice for you as well as you have to go through it all in order to show us the pitfalls and corrections needed for correct technique etc. Thanks
I started being interested in Golf just recently this year and was able to play my first 18 holes, ever, today. It was a great experience and Pete's content was a significant factor for me getting there and continuing to learn this sport. Reading through the comment section here shows how well Pete is received as a content creator but also as a human being. Please keep up your good work and it looks like there is an army of people rooting for you.
Love that you give it your best shot and challenge yourself. Putting it out there will help you and other golfers at the same time. Also so fun to ride with you on this journey. Next year is the time for destiny to realize itself.
Pete! keep grindin. I've been watching your channel, and ricks, since day one pretty much. I'd love nothing more than to see you get through. Get your body right, get more mind right, and you got all the support in the world. Love from the US.
Was a time in my life I could've seen myself attempting a local qualifier for few tournaments here in the US. I always wondered how my nerves would have held up. I have always loved your content and the love, admiration and just raw emotion you show and have for this wonderful sport of golf makes me respect and admire you even more. God Bless you Pete and your day is coming.
Peter Finch is genuinely my favourite golfer, learned a lot from his videos and always watch the course vlogs on his channel. I am not a natural golfer and I started a year ago shooting 136 on Par 70 and now I am down to 98. Thanks Pete and I reckon next year is your time!!
Congrats on following your dream, so many of us look back and say what if or I wish I would have tried. You can look back and say I did, with no regrets. “Complete Class” as you always say, and the everyday joes will continue to cheer you on. Keep it up.
Thank you Pete! Awesome coverage! Keep on rocking for the Golfers & pursuing your dreams! You are a true ambassador and a role model for us all in finding ourselves & the way of golf! All the best in your endeavours - never stop!
Keep at it Pete! In perspective I could only dream about playing in the qualifiers let alone being disappointed about not reaching the finals. With your talent I'm sure you'll progress further next year! Bring it on!
Super honest guy, at least you have the "balls" to try, we love you for it. Not all are brave enough to try. You put it on the line everytime. Class act.
Delighted to be watching another episode.. your a top man and I'm so happy that you are taking positives from everything man your growing internally and as a human that's all we are trying to achieve really .. let's remember it's a game .. luck from Ireland my man
You will do this one day. I really believe it. Your game has been outstanding lately. Calm those nerves and just play golf. Don’t think about numbers. Just go out there and hit your distances and hit your lines and you got this.
Whenever I look at the Open Qualifying results it looks like you need to have one of those rounds when everything goes right (THREE TIMES) so those lads who have actually qualified are truly amazing golfers. You should definitely keep trying in my opinion because you're very fortunate to at least be allowed to play in the qualifiers. I would if I could just for the experience.
All of us who have been following your progress till this point know just how good you are. Don't give up now. Go again next year and attack those demons. You'll make it next time. 👊🏾
never give up Pete. don't you dare do that. Golf is about persistence, patience and guts. It's the trying to be better and dreaming of that one outstanding performance. Most of us never achieve our dreams but Christ we have fun trying. That's why you must keep going because you never know what might be around the corner.
Pete listen to a bloke from another sport who plays golf for fun as a 10 handicapper. You have.t let anyone down. I wanted to be a professional cricketer. I had no help wasn't the coaches favorite and no one rated me. I worked my way up from scratch from club level to district to District to academy then playing with the best 36 cricketers in Scotland health stopped me after that and took up golf. You've let no one down. You judt keep pushing keep working and prove everyone else out there you can qualify. The only way you'd let down your followers including myself is the same way that if I gave up and stopped pushing to achieve my goal and not giving up and this is what your doing you still want to prove people wrong you can do it and at the end of the day if you do it. You can go to those people who don't rate you and say you know what I've proved you wrong. And trust me nothing is better than that satisfaction knowing you did it all by your own hard work, determination and bottle.
If you keep your head cool, Peter, you can shoot a 70 plus or minus 2. If you let a botched shot or a misread putt get under your skin, you'll shoot a 75 plus or minus 2. You have practiced enough to hit a round which has good shots, and some very good shots. Adversity will come, but the way you handle it will determine your score. If you laugh it off, you'll shoot 72 or better; if it gets under your skin, you'll shoot 75 or 76. Your biggest challenge is in your head, Peter. In your case, I think it would help if you planned how you'd react to hitting a good shot only to end up in an 8 foot high fairway bunker. Also, plan what you might say when you get two or three birdies. The odds are against your qualifying, but I think you can advance because you are a better player than you were when you lost your ass to Marco & Coach Reifuss. You've improved.
Very tough to put yourself out there like Pete does, it shows great courage. I think he is still a bit worried about people think of him, but he shouldn't, he seems like a top bloke and a lot of fickle people in the influencer game
Mr Peter Finch, is such a nice guy and an amazing golfer/pro, you want him to play well because he is just us,!!! Lol, but actually can play really fantastic golf. My favourite golfer/RUclipsr,

Pete really has that underdog feel. That's why I think people like him, and that's why I think we all want him to succeed 👍
Such a classy guy, love the honesty 👏
This is such an honest and open interview. We can learn as much from this vid as we can from a tips and tricks. Your personality shines through. Keep it going Peter, we love you ❤
