- The Queen is officially welcomed to Balmoral Castle with a Royal Guard provided by the Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (@The_Scots) & their Mascot @CplCruachan_IV.
The Queen has officially moved into Balmoral castle in Scotland in what marks the start of her annual summer break.
And upon her arrival she received a less than friendly welcome from an old friend the Shetland Pony Mascot Cruachan IV.
As the 92-year-old monarch made her way into the Castle after inspecting the guard of honour the cheeky pony relieved itself in front of her with the Queen appearing to hold her nose as she walked away.

The three-year-old pony, the regimental mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, made headlines last year when he tried to nibble the Queen's posy during a visit to Stirling Castle, prompting Her Majesty to tell him to 'go away'.

The Queen has a wonderful sense of humor...so if she was holding her nose it was probably in jest. After all she loves horses and understands that horses are horses...even wee ponies!!! Being the Queen she probably had to get one over the pony letting him know that his poo did not go unnoticed.😂🤣😂🤣😉

I love how she talks to the pony. This pony is a bit of a clown so this year’s stunt show’s the pony is racheting up it’s game with the Queen. I wonder what next year’s meeting will be like when they meet.

The Queen has been around horses al her life. She's seen enough poo to build a mountain. I note that she did not carry flowers to tempt the pony this time.
I half expected her to offer him some but she prob thought better when he’s on official duty. I bet she holds private audience with him later lol

Why do the men have two different types of kilt colours.
Anyone who's ridden facing forward in as many open carriages as the Queen has for the past 70 years has seen her share of horse poo. Better the back end of a horse than the current president of the USA.
